A Maybelline Roundup

Maybelline is a great all round drugstore brand, that's been trusted by many for years. And recently they've been on fire with their new launches. So today I thought I'd give a little round up of my favourites from the brand.

Primer is one step I cant miss out of my makeup routine. And this is great little primer for making a smooth base for makeup application. The shade warm apricot also makes my dull tired skin look slightly more alive, which is always a plus.

I think everyone here in the Uk is dying for this foundation to be lauched! Everybody is raving about this foundation and for good reason. This foundation is simply amazing! Matte foundations are something I tend to avoid, with my skin being more on the dry side, but this foundation didn't dry my skin out, smoothed and blurred impections, blends out with ease and lasts all day! I don't have a bad thing to say about this foundation! Definitely check this out if you can, I got mine from eBay.

I do love the Matte + Poreless verison, but my heart lays with the original. I love, love, love this foundation. The formula is brilliant, a good medium coverage, its hydrating that leaves skin looking flawless! The finish is radiant and glowly, brilliant for anyone with dryer skin. My only issue with this is the staying power -It only last around 4-5 hours.

I don't often hear many people talk about this product, I'm not to sure why because I love it. I use this daily to conceal acne scars or any blemishes I might have. Its super lasting, doesn't cake and effectively conceals what ever I want it to. Its very similar to the Collection Lasting Perfecting concealer, which I am sure breaks me out and is too drying for my skin.

Maybelline also offer a very nice contour kit in the form of master sculpt. I have the shade medium to dark, the contour shade is on the cooler side, which to be honest is not a good shade for when I'm tanned (which is 9 times out 10) but on the rare occasion I'm not tanned this is the shade I reach for. Its well pigmented and easy to blend. The highlighter shade, doesn't really excite me. I like a really glowy highlight - but that being said, this is perfect for those who like something more subtle.

Its brilliant to see the drugstore making great affordable eye shadows. And this palette is great for all those neutral eye shadow lovers out there. The palette contains 12 nude shades, ranging from pale highlight shades, mid toned browns to black. It has a mixture of shimmers and matte finishes, perfect for almost any eye look. To be honest the paler shades let this palette down a bit, they're not as pigmented as the darker ones. But for the most part they are well pigmented and easy to blend. This would be a great palette for anyone who is new to eyeshadow.

Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eye Liner | £7.99
Winged liner is my go to look at the moment. And I'm on a mission to find the blackest black eye liner there is. And this one is pretty good! The formula glides on with ease, and stays put all day without, flaking or smudging.

I don't like any other Maybelline mascaras other than this one. But its one of the best I've used! This gives me long, volumised lashes, that stays curled all day.

I don't think I've tried a Maybelline that I haven't loved! And the shade 342 Mauve mania is one of my favourite shades! As the name suggests its a beautiful mauve purple colour that is a little different from you average nude. The Colour sensational line is super creamy, satin formula that is super comfortable on the lips and the lasting power is pretty good!

Maybelline Colour Elixir | £6.99
Not only do Maybelline produce really good lipsticks, they also have lip glosses down. Well I think this is a lip gloss. Its a kind of lip gloss / liquid lipstick hybrid! It is opique and well pigmented like a lipstick but the finish of a gloss. The 725 Carmel infused is a mauve-y brown colour, that gives the lips a gorgeous plump look.

So theres some of my Maybelline favourites. What are yours?

Until next time...
