There are a few beauty items that live in my bag, or I chuck in when I'm out about, for touch ups on the go. So today I thought I'd share with you, the products I can't be without when I'm on the go!
Lip Balm |
I'm sure I'm not the only one who has 20 lip balms burried at that the bottom of my hand bag?! I have super dry lips and theres nothing worse than having no lip balm to hand. For occasions when my lips are super dry I reach for this Blistex Daily Lip Conditioner. Its nice and lightweight but instantly soothes dry lips.
I also have the Maybelline Baby Lips Balm and Blush. I don't use this for blush though, its to slippery for the cheeks. But I reach for this when I want a hint of colour to the lips. I have the shade 01 Inocent Peach. Which is a lovely pinky peach colour, with a subtle sheen.
Urban Decay Naked Concealer | £17.50 POST
This stuff never leaves my side. I like it highlighting and concealing under the eyes. It has a great coverage, doesn't crease, just a great all round concealer. If I do need to touch up under my eyes on the go, it just dab it on and blend it out with my fingers.
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer | £22
I also like to take a concealer that matches my skin tone just in case any blemishes decide to appear or my foundations goes patchy (its easier than lugging round a foundation). This is a relatively new purchase, but I really like this. It has good coverage, blends out with ease and looks very natural on the skin.
Zoeva 102 Silk Finish Brush | £11.50
When I'm on the go I like to take my foundation that I'm currently using, for blending any creases in my foundation or concealer. This Zoeva one has been my brush of choice recently. Its blends almost all foundations in seamlessly, effortlessly and gives a good even finish!
Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder | £8.99 POST
Its rare that I will get oily when I'm out, especially this time of year. But just in case I want to know I'm covered and this powder is perfect! First of all its super compact so easy to fit in almost any bag. But this is so finely milled and looks so natural on skin! This is great for all skin types oily to dry!
Urban Decay Naked Flush Palette | £23.50 POST
This little compact has all your blush, bronzing and highlighting needs covered. I also always chuck this in my bag. It also has a good sized mirror - just in case you cant get to one!
Superdrug Vitamin E Refreshing Toning Mist | £2.99
This is essential for when makeup needs a refresh throughout the day. This also relives my skin when its starts feeling dry and tight. I just mist this on and I'm looking fresh faced again.
Soap And Glory Hand Food | £5.50 POST
This lives in my bag and is definitely an essential. Especially if, like me after you wash your hands they feel dry and tight. This stuff instantly relives them, in fast absorbing formula.
MAC Stone | £15.50 POST
I also like to stick with the lipstick I apply in the morning. For re applying. And my one of choice, more often than not is MAC Stone. The shade is muted greyish taupe brown, with slight warm undertones. The has a rich opague colour in true MAC lipstick style.
MAC Velvet Teddy | £15.50 POST
I always have a nude a lipstick by my side. I'm not quite sure why, I just don't like to leave the house without one. And velvet Teddy is my go to nude. Its a beautiful brown toned nude with slight pink undertones, in the trusty formula of MACs matte lipstick line.
Hair Bands and Hair Grips |
With the weather in the Uk being super windy and unpredictable, I like to carry hair bands, just in case the wind leaves me looking like I have a birds nest on my head!
That's all my beauty essentials when I'm on the go! What are yours?
Until next time...
