I haven't actually shared my evening and morning routine on my blog so when I saw Sally from the Makeup Directory I thought it was the perfect opportunity to share some of my routine with you guys. Plus I'm super nosey so I'm looking forward to reading what everyone elses answers!
What's you beauty routine?
I'm still on a mission to find my perfect cleanser for morning use. I'm yet to find one, so at the moment I just use the Pixi Glow Tonic. I find it so freshing and removes any left over residue for any skincare I've used over the night (You can read more about Glow Tonic here). I then go in with my serum and moisturiser. I'm currently using the Good Things Argon Oil Serum and La Roche Posay Torelline Moisturiser, which is my current favourite (read more about it here).
What's for Breakfast?
I'm not a big fan of breakfast, I rarely get hungry in the mornings. Plus I'm always rushing at the door. But if I do my current favourite cereal is Chocolate Wheetabix.
Tea or Coffee?
I don't like hot drinks so neither. But I can't start the day until I've had a Diet Coke. I know, it's not very healthy but I just love it. Anybody thats knows me, knows how much I love Diet Coke!
How long does it take you to get out the door?
I have two children so weekdays we're leaving for the school run, so getting 3 people ready to leave the house can take some time! I get up at half 6 and I don't stop until 8.30 when we leave so 2 hours.
What's your go to makeup look for a fuss free morning?
I tend to go for a fuss free makeup when I'm running late but this normally means skipping eyeshadow. But, my whole base routine I never skip. Then I just wear a few coats of mascara and chuck on a lipstick. My go to, fuss free lipstick is MACs Velvet Teddy. It just makes me look more put together and its nude so perfect for fuss free days.
Whats your evening beauty routine?
Obviously removing my makeup. I wet wipe to remove my eye makeup - I know, I'm a bad blogger, but I haven't found anything that removes my eye makeup so well. And then I cleanse with my Body Shop Cleansing butter. I absolutely love this stuff, it feels so luxurious and removes my base makeup so well. If I'm feeling fancy I may do mask, depending on what skin problem I want to address. But I normally reach for The Body Shop Oat and Honey mask. It leaves my skin so soft and feeling more nourished. Then I apply my La Roche Posay Moisturiser again, then add an oil over the top. I'm currently loving the Kielhs Midnight Recovery Concentrate.
Snack Time! What's in the Bowl?
I'm a huge snacker. And I have a major sweet tooth so I like to have chocolate. Galaxy is my favourite type so I tend to have a Ripple as I chill out on the sofa.
How do you unwind and prep for bed?
In the evening I love to watch a few episodes of the current programme I'm watching. At the moment I'm re-watching Orange is The New Black ready for Season 4 and I'm enjoying it as much as I did the first time. Then when I'm tired I head off to bed. Thats it really.
Cozy Up! What are you wearing?
I don't actually own that many pretty PJ sets. Being a false tanner, which I do in the evenings, they tend to get stained so I don't like to spend a lot of money on them. But I tend to go for some shorts and vest.
What are some things you do before hitting the hay?
First thing I do when I get in bed is apply lip balm. Waking up with dry lips is not a good feeling. I then check all social media platforms. I normally fall asleep scrolling through Instagram.
