Dupes / Affordable Alternatives #2

As promised in my last Dupes post (you can read it here) I'm back with part two! So without further ado...

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette | £59 Vs Makeup Revolution Radiance Palette | £8

For someone who has skin that leans more dry I tend to avoid powders. I find them too drying. But the Hourglass Ambiant Lighting Palette has been a revolution! They're not drying at all and leave skin with a soft subtle glow. However, the Makeup Revolution Radiance palette is so similar. Both palettes contain 3 powders, all of which are similar in shade. The Bronze shade in the Makeup Revolution Palette is more Bronze-y than the Hourglass one. And the Makeup Revolution ones have slightly more of a glow than the Hourglass ones. But for the massive price difference you can't really complain. See my full comparision here.

NYX Gotcha Covered Concealer  | £5.50 Vs It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under eye | £26

I really like the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under eye (See full review here), it is such a great brightening, full coverage concealer. But I was kind of annoyed when I realised I'd paid nearly £30 for a concealer that was so similar to one I already had that cost far less! The NYX offering is pretty much the same - full coverage and brightening. The only difference is the NYX one is slightly wetter in consistency. But once applied and set down both perform and last exactly the same!

Bourjois ColorBand 2in1 shadow and eyeliner | £5.99 VS By Terry Ombre Black Star | £29

The By Terry Ombre Black Star are probably the most talked about eye shadow crayons in the blogging community. And for good reason; they're creamy, easy to apply and stay put literally all day! Although Bourjois is definitely an affordable alternative. The shades are really different. But the Bourjois one in the shade Brun  is just as good. In fact, I think it might be a bit better in terms of staying powder. I definitely recommend checking out the Bourjois ones, they are amazing for the price.

NYX Tame & Frame | £5.50 VS Anatashia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade | £15

I toyed with the idea of getting the ABH Dip Brow for the longest time. But I've always been an eye pencil kind of girl. Until I actually tried it and I'm in love! It gives a really nice, full defined look to the brows, whilst still looking natural. So since I'd been converted to Pomades I wanted to explore some more. Enter NYX. These two are exactly the same thing. I have the Soft Brown in ABH Dip Brow and the shade Chocolate from NYX. The NYX shade is slightly warmer but both shades work on me. And I actually think the NYX one is slightly better, I found it more creamy and smoother to apply. So I highly recommend the NYX one.

MAC Spirit Lipstick | £15.50 VS Soap & Glory Matte lipstick in the shade Cinnamon Beige | £9

What kind of dupe post would this be without a MAC lipstick dupe! And I've found one for the shade Spirit which is a Pinky Brown nude, from the Satin Finish line. Soap & Glory's Cinnamon Beige is so similar. I'd say it's slightly more Pink than the MAC one, and it's described as matte but the finish is so similar! Both have good staying power, they last around 3-4 hours on the lip. But I think I prefer the S&G so I definitely recommend checking it out!

So theres some more dupes for you! Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?

Until next time...
