If you didn't know it was my birthday last week! And being the complete beauty junkie I am there was a lot of makeup on my list! So I thought I'd share with you guys what I got...
Kyle Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks | $17
I finally got my hands on the infamous Kylie Jenner Liquid Lipsticks. The actually Lip Kits were out of stock at the time. So I got the singles instead. I got the shades Exposed and Koko K. Exposed is a lovely, wearable nude colour with Orange undertones. Koko K is more of a dusky Pink, Mauve-y nude. I do plan on doing a full post on these. So keep an eye out for that!
Inglot palette | £5 (shadows) £8 (palette)
My boyfriend and I went for a little trip down to Westfield where he treated me to this. The shadows and the palette are sold individually. Which I really like. Since discovering Makeup Geek I love having the choice of which shades to pick. I went 5 orange toned shades and a palette with 5 spaces to put them in. I've literally been wearing this everyday since I got it. All the shades are well pigmented and easy to work. They're also really affordable; each individual shadow are £5 and the palette was £8. And they look so much prettier than Z palettes. The shades I a got are:
383 - a matte Orange
407 - a shimmer Orange with Gold shimmers
51- A bright Orange with silver shimmers
335 A matte, warmed toned Brown.
605 - A Shimmery Copper colour.
MAC Prep + Prime FIX+ | £17.50
While we were there, we popped into Mac. Where he kindly brought some more! Fix+ has been on my list for the longest time so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to get it. So far I'm really liking it. It's a nice facial spritz that leaves my makeup looking so fresh. I've also been using it before primer for an extra bit of hydration.
MAC Minerlize Skin Finish | £24
I'm so late to the party with soft and gentle. But better late than never right? This is the most beautiful Champagned toned highlighter. It doesn't have any glitter. It's more subtle than some highlighters I own but it still catches the light beautifully.
MAC Lipstick | £15.50
No Mac trip is complete without a lipstick. I went for the shade Hot Tahetti. Which has a glaze finish. It's a sheer rosy Red colour. I'm really liking this. It's a great summer shade.
NYX 3c Palette Concealer, Correct and Contour palette | £10
I also received a Boots voucher. So I went a bit crazy at the NYX stand. I don't have a NYX counter in my local Boots so I was overly excited to see the products in person! I picked up this concealer palette. Which I've used a few times and I love it! I've used the Yellow shade under my eyes to conceal my dark circles. The consistancy is so really thick and does take some blending but doesn't crease and it has amazing full coverage.
NYX HD Finishing powder | £8
I'm a huge fan of the NYX HD line so I wanted to give this a try. And I think this may be one product I don't like from NYX. Which pains me because I've loved everything I've tried so far! It's a loose, translucent powder, with a sifter. But the swifter holes are so big it lets far too much product through! It was nice to apply but it did leave a White cast on my face. I am going to keep persevering with it though!
NYX Baked Blush | £6.50
This Blush looked too pretty to leave. The shade Passion is a lovely Peachy, Bronze colour. I haven't actually used this yet so I can't comment on how it's performing. It didn't swatch too well but I have hope it will work well on the cheeks.
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil | £5
I picked up this eye pencil in the shade Yoghurt, which is a beautiful Rose Gold shade. I'm so excited to give this a proper test.
Urban Decay After Glow Highlighter | £19
This was courtesy of my lovely sister! I did really want Sin but it was out of stock and the sales lady told me it was the same as the eye shadow Sin which is in the Naked Palette so I went for Fireball. Which is an iridescent Pink. I'm not convinced I like this as a highlighter but I think it will make a lovely blush topper.
Urban Decay Vice Lipstick | £15
If you see my High end Discoveries post (here) you'll know how impressed I was with the Comfort matte line so I wanted to try more of the Vice range. I went for the shade Naked. Which is a lovely Pink nude with Mauve undertones. It's a cream finish which is so comfortable! I'm sure this will be a firm favourite.
Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick | £23
I hadn't actually tried a lipstick from Charlotte Tilburys matte line and with the launch of her new lipsticks the shade Very Victory stood out to me straight away. It's a very 90s Brown nude, which is my favoruite kind of nude! The matte formula is very creamy, non drying and long lasting! I already love this!
So thats all the beauty related stuff I got for my birthday! Thank you too everyone that brought me them! And thank you everyone that wished me happy birthday!
Until next time...
