High-end Discoveries

It's been an exciting month for new beauty launches. I've managed to get my hands on some and I'm ready to report back to you guys...

Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation | £27

I feel like the Blogger community were eagerly awaiting this foundation to launch. I've read some mixed reviews and I was apprehensive to buy it. Because it's a full coverage foundation, with a 'modern' matte finish that promises to last all day, these types of foundations tend to dry my skin and just don't look good on me. But I actually really like this. It is definitely full coverage! And by modern I think Urban Decay mean it's more of a satin finish, well that's what I found anyway. It's not drying on me at all and it really does stay put all day, and still looks fresh at the end. I have heard people say that this does oxidise. Which it does, nothing major though it just dries down a shade darker. So bare this in mind when shade matching! But overall, I really like this and I'm really happy I've found a foundation more on the matte side that works for me!

Lancome Tient Idole Cushion Foundation* | £30

Cushion foundations are really having their moment in the beauty world. And lancome have but their best selling Tient foundation in a cushion form. I'm not too sure the whole point in the cushion foundation thing, but it really does make application so much easier! And perfect for on the go. It has a very natural finish but still has a radiance about it. The coverage is medium and build-able. Overall, I really like this, there's nothing not to like!

Lancome Blush Subtil Cushion Blusher* | £28

Along with the cushion foundation Lancome have launched their cushion blushes. I have the shade Splash Orange  which does look really scary in the pan. But it blends out to a lovely Orange colour. I really like this. The formula is so good. The blush is really watery but this makes it really easy to blend and it doesn't disturb the makeup underneath. It dries down to a matte but radiant finish. The application is tricky, you do need a light hand, but once I was used to it, it was really easy. I found it easiest to apply this with Real Techniques stippling brush.

Kat Von D Lock It Concealer | £20

I'm sure the majority of you already now that Kat Von D has just launched in Debenhams. As soon as the products were available online I made an order. I've heard so many good things about the Lock It concealer I knew I had to try. And I'm disappointed! This is a full coverage foundation that works well under the eyes and on blemishes. I have the shade Light Warm 7. Which is surprisingly pale. I was a little shocked when I first got it out and I thought it would be too pale. But luckily it works perfectly under the eyes and really highlights the area, while still concealing dark circles. The staying power is also really good. It doesn't crease either. Overall, I'm love with the concealer and I can see myself repurchasing this!

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick | £16

Obviously I had to buy one of the famous Liquid Lipsticks. I went for the shade Lolita 11. Which is a stunning warm toned, Orangey nude. The formula itself is great. It dried down completely matte and feel unnoticeable on the lips. I didn't find this dry it all. The staying power is good, it lasted around 4-5 hours on me. And when the colour did start to wear, it faded evenly, without cracking or flaking. I really like this and I will definitely be getting more shades!

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner | £16 (full size)

This is another one of Kat Von D's most famous products that I really wanted to try. But I'd heard mixed reviews and £16 is slightly more than I'd like to pay so I thought I skip it. So you could imagine my delight when I got a free mini one. I can safely say this completely lives up to the hype. It's amazing! Seriously! It's so easy to use. It applies beautifully, so evenly and is super Black. The tip is so precise. I'm baffled by how good this is. I will definitely be buying the full size. It is completely worth £16.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick | £15

Now the Vice lipsticks aren't technically new to me. I've raved about them on several occasions. But the shade Hitch Hike is. It's from the Comfort Matte line, the lipsticks I have tried from this line are incredible; they're really creamy, well pigmented, non drying but still matte and they have good staying power. The shade itself is a deep Rose colour, that's kind of Red at the same time. It's really pretty and I've been wearing it a lot!

Overall, I'm really happy with all the high end products I've been testing recently. Normally I'd have one or two that are disappointing so I'm really happy with this bunch!

Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?

Until next time...
