Transform Winter Skin With Bravura

I'm sure I'm not alone with the winter skin struggle - my skin is as dull and grey as a miserable Monday morning! Not only that but the central heating sucks what very little moisture I have in my skin, right out! I've spoken in-depth about my skincare for such skin but I've discovered some treatments from Bravura that have really helped transform my skin this winter.  Bravura is one of the first Uk brands to bring chemical exfoliators (AHAs / BHASs) and peels for at home use. I do have a whole post explaining what AHAs and BHA are here.

Bravura is very client based and encourage everyone to use their free skincare consultation guide. They also encourage you to contact them if you have a negative reaction to any products for help and guidance. Which I think is so good, so many times I've reacted badly to a product and felt there is nothing I can do! Anyway, let's get into the review. For reference I have dehydrated skin that's prone to breakouts. So without further ado...

Bravura London 10% Gylolic Acid *| £9.59

This toner is an AHA toner that contains 5% Gylcolic Acid. This works to lift away dead skin cells, that can make skin look dull. It contains Witch Hazel which is known for its healing properties. And Ginseng to revitalise cells. The ingredients are practically identical to the famous Pixi Glow Tonic - which I love and have used daily for over a year! It gives exactly the same results too. My skin is left more glowing, smoother and texture is more refined. I like to use this in the morning before moisturiser. This is also slightly more affordable than the Pixi one so I will rebuying this instead.

Bravura London 10% Lactic Acid* | £9.59

My previous experiences with Lactic acid haven't gone well so I was apprehensive to try this. But I can safely say this stuff is amazing! Again this is an acid based product which dissolves the dead skin cells. This has 10% formulation so it's a bit stronger. It's also infused with Rose water for hydration, so it is suitable for all skin types. It promises to treat: Acne, Dry skin, pigmentation and fine lines. Bravura recommend with all the Acid treatments that you build up tolerance to the product gradually. So to start with, leave it on 5mins and everyday build the time up. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly this worked in just 5 minutes. My skin was instantly smoother and didn't look as grey. I now leave it on for 3-4 hours and rinse it off before bed. This does kind of make my skin feel itchy when I first apply this but the directions assure me this is fine. Plus I really like that I feel it working. I've really noticed that this has helped improve the overall condition of my skin. I don't find I breakout as often since using this either. I can't recommend this enough.

Bravura London Glycolic Acid 10%* | £9.59

This is similar to the Lactic Acid and treats all the same things but Glycolic acid is known for stimulating collagen in the skin. So is great for ageing skin. Glycolic acid is also great for reducing scars. It's recommended that this is left for 5-15minutes. This also gave my skin the same itchy sensation. But overall the results are brilliant! This leaves my skin really soft and so much smoother. This really gives my skin back its glow!

Chemical Peel Applicator Brush* | £3.49

This is small fan brush designed to apply the acid treatments. I was sent this along with the other goodies and at first I didn't really think it would make too much of a difference. But when I use this to apply the Acid treatments I get more of a strong, itching sensation than if I apply them with my hands. So I'm not really sure how or why but I think they work better when applied with the brush. plus it's pretty inexpensive too!

Overall, I'm really impressed with these Bravura acids. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for affordable, Acid treatments. I really want to try their moisturisers next.
