The Sensitive Skin Edit

I don't have sensitive skin as in certain products sting and burn my skin. But I do find it breaks out easily and most products containing strong or harsh ingrediants don't help. So when these occasions arise I have a few products I can rely to clear up the breaks up, without irritating or making them worse...

La Roche Posay Toleraine Cleanser | £11 | POST

This cleanser is a god send when my skin is sensitive. It has a light, creamy texture that works well at cleansing my skin without any irritation! It removes makeup and dirt with ease. And leaves my skin feeling clean, fresh but not stripped. I tend to use this twice as a double cleanse. It also makes a nice morning cleanser.

Clinique Moisture Surge Spray* | £22 (full size)

When my skin is feeling particularly sensitive it feels dry and tight throughout the day. So this little bottle is perfect for those occasions. It's a fine hydrating spritz, that can be used as part of a skin routine or over makeup. I really like using it over makeup. It refreshes everything and adds the hydration I need.

La Roche Posay Toleraine Ultra Fluid | £17.50 | POST

This is a staple in my skincare routine! It's a brilliant moisture riser that keeps my dehydration at bay. It doesn't have any nasties and is fragrance free. Prefect for sensitive skin. It can even be used around the eye area. I apply 3 pumps in the morning and evening, and it leaves my skin hydrated all day.

Kielhs Mid-night Recovery Concentrate | £38 | POST

This oil does everything - hydrates, nourishes, plumps and smooths and adds radiance. The oil is light weight and adsorbs really quickly. Whenever my skin is sensitive I reach for this, it just does the job and helps my skin return to its normal state. Plus the glow this gives the skin in the morning is incredible!

Merumaya Concentrated Spot Treatment* | £14.50

I'm so happy I've finally found a spot treatment that actually works! This offering from Merumaya contains active ingrediants that tackle and sooth redness, excess sebum and help repair the skin to prevent scarring. I like to apply a small amount directly on blemishes at night. And in the morning its like a miracle had happened they were nearly gone! This can also be used as often as you like throughout they day. But I've found I haven't had to do that - it works over night! This is perfect for red angry, sensitive skin! The bottle is also small making it portable and perfect for traveling.

Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask | £19.75 | POST

If you've read many of my skincare posts recently you know how much I've been loving this mask. It contains Manuka Honey which is gentle, yet an effective antiseptic, so it's great for blemish prone sensitive skin. This mask is also super hydrating. I apply a thick layer, wait 15 minutes and remove and my skin is soft, smooth and hydrated.

There you have some of my favourite products to use when my skin is sensitive and angry.

Have you tried any of these? What are you thoughts?

Until next time...
