Best In Beauty | May

Another month has flown by! So it's time for me to share a roundup of the best in beauty products I've been loving throughout the month. I've been testing a whole load of makeup and skincare that I haven't quite formed a solid opinion yet but I have a good mix to share with you guys...

NIP+FAB Contour Kit | £15 (currently on offer for £10 here) | REVIEW

Nip+Fab recently launched a whole makeup line with a lot of products. I picked up quite a few things, all of which I've enjoyed but the star of the show for me is the contour kit! This houses 6 shades, all ideal for contouring and brightening. All the shades are super pigmented, so pigmented you only need a lightly dip your brush. The shades are always so soft and blend-able! It leaves a natural but defined looking contoured look.

Maybelline Big Shot Colossal Volume Mascara* | £7.99 | REVIEW

Aside from Lash Sensational I tend to over look Maybelline mascara, most of the ones I've tried don't really work for me but I'm so impressed with this one! It has a stiff bristlely brush as opposed to a plastic comb style (which I tend to prefer). The brush coats all the lashes evenly giving good length and volume and it holds all day! This is definitely a drugstore gem worth checking out.

The Ordinary Peeling Solution | £6.30 | REVIEW

Every time I use this I am wowed by the results! This scary looking red liquid uses a mix of AHAs and BHAs to lift away dead skin cells to reveal brighter, more refined looking skin. After leaving this on for 10 minutes my skin is so smooth and soft. It definitely looks brighter too. I can't believe how cheap this is either! Another bargain product I highly recommend.

PIXI Glow Mist | £16 | REVIEW

This Glow Mist is amazing. It's a multi tasking product that can be used as part of your skincare, a primer or as a setting spray. It works well in every way but I love it as a setting spray or as a mid day spritz when skin is starting to look a bit drab. As a setting spray it boosts radiance, nothing to much but it makes foundations look a little less flat. When I use this during the day it instantly makes my makeup look better, and leaves my skin looking more plump. The mist action on this is brilliant too. It disperses the liquid as a really fine mist, that isn't too wet and doesn't leave water droplets on the face!

Hola Coco Hair Mask* | £29.99

This tub is huge! You get a whooping 500ml of product, which makes it good value for money if nothing else. But luckily this hair mask is incredible. It's infused with Coconut Oil which is well known for it's hydrating properties. And boy is this hydrating. I apply a liberal amount after shampoo and conditioner, leave it on for as long as possible, which is usually around 15 minutes. After rinsing my hair is instantly softer. Once my hair is dry it's much more shiny and after 3-4 uses my split ends look better too! My only issue with this is the packaging, it doesn't feel sturdy but the mask itself is so nice I can forgive it.

Grow Gorgeous Scalp Detox* | £28

This is literally a game changer product. I suffer from a really bad dry scalp and having dark roots means it's not a pretty sight. But this has really helped my dry flakey scalp. It's a pre wash treatment that exfoliates the scalp. It does have gentle scrubby particles in it but nothing too harsh or difficult to wash out. All you need to do is massage this into the scalp wait a few minutes before rinsing. It also helps remove the build up of impurities that can prevent hair growth. If you have a similar dry scalp, I really can't recommend this enough.

So that's everything that's made it into the Best In Beauty category this month.

Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?

Until next time...
