Makeup Lately

The past few weeks routining my makeup has kind of been on the back burner. I've been super busy and I've been on a family holiday so I've been reaching for products I know I can rely on.

Beauty Pie Bio Fusion Primer | £3.11 | REVIEW

Beauty Pie is such a strange concept (read about my experience here) but I actually really like this primer. It's a light weight hydrating primer that smooths my skin ready for makeup application. It reminds me a lot of the Too Faced Hungover Primer, which I love! Definitely check out my Beauty Pie - What's The Deal post if your interested in this!

The Ordinary Serum Foundation | £5.70 | REVIEW

I've been testing this foundation and I've found myself reaching for it a lot towards the end of last month. It has a very watery consistency that's really easy to blend. The coverage is light to medium. I do find this works better with a glow-y or hydrating primer though. If I use one to make my base last longer it looks dry and cakey. But with the right primer I really like this. The wear time is really good too. It lasts all day on me!

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer | £28 | REVIEW

I've found myself reaching for this concealer almost everyday! The coverage is incredible, it covers my dark circles really well. It also works really on blemishes too! It only creases slightly under my eyes, which is impressive as almost all concealers crease like crazy on me! My only issue with this is I would prefer it to be slightly more glow-y. But this is a great all round concealer.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Powder | £33 | REVIEW

For powder this has been my go to! It's amazing. It sets my makeup and concealer in place all day. But what I really love about this is how flawless this makes my skin look. It blurs everything and just makes my skin look better! It's so finely milled it looks undetectable on the skin.

Milani Baked Bronzer | £11

In keeping with the warm weather we had last week I've been loving a bronzed, glow-y skin and this bronzer is perfect for achieving it! The pigmentation is perfect, not too much but it's not sheer at all. It blends smoothly and looks so natural on the skin. It has also has subtle Gold shimmers in it that gives skin a nice, natural glow.

Misslynn Blush | £7.50

I'd not heard of this brand until I was browsing the Beauty Bay website and the cool packaging intrigued me so I ordered a few compacts. And I'm obsessed with this blush in the shade Be My Blush Crush which is a Peachy Pink shade with a really nice sheen to it. It applies so smoothly and lasts all day!

Beauty Pie Highlighter | £5.64

Another Beauty Pie item I've been really loving is this highlighter. It's gorgeous. It's a really nice Champagne colour that has a sort of Silver sheen to it. This can look a little chunky when swatched but I don't think this translates on the face. It gives a really nice glow to the face and it's really pigmented but easy to sheer out for a more natural look.

Maybelline Big Shot Colossal Mascara* | £7.99

I've been really keeping my eye makeup simple, I haven't really been reaching for eyeshadow that much. But I can't go without mascara and this has quickly become my favourite. It has a bristle brush that combs through the lashes and gives them a good amount of volume and length. The curl holds all day to.

NYX Butter Gloss | £5.50

I've been pretty low key with my lip options too and I've found myself gravitating to the NYX Butter glosses. Which are the perfect non sticky, low maintenance strip of colour! The shade Angel Food Cake is a really nice Mauve colour that gives the lips a subtle hint of colour. The Butter Glosses are by far my favourite gloss formulas.

So that's the makeup I've been reaching for lately! I feel my makeup recently has been pretty boring but I have a few new palettes I'm, excited to play with.

Until next time...
