High-end Discoveries

I think we all know the drill with this post! If you didn't these are some of the high-end discoveries I've made over the last month.

Zenii Hyluronic Acid Booster Serum* | £70

My dehydrated skin loves Hyluronic Acid so this was a welcome addition to my skincare routine. This is a super charged serum that has a low molicure weight to deeply hydrate the cells in the skin. It has a gel like consistency that instantly absorbs into my skin, leaving it soft and hydrated. I've been using this for a few weeks and my skin definitely looks plumper. I use this at night and in the morning, it works well in both routines and under makeup. I think since using this my dehydrated skin is under control!!

Christian Bretton Eye Cream* | £49

This is a relatively new addition to my skincare routine but I wanted to mention it because I've been loving it! It's a light hydrating eye cream in a roller ball style applicator. It's super easy to use. The cream itself is very light and waterery, it absorbs quickly, leaving my under eyes soft and hydrated. It works really well under makeup, in fact I've found it actually makes my concealer application easier! It blends in so easily but the cream doesn't cause it to crease or separate. If you're looking for a new eye cream definitely check this out.

IS Clinical SPF* | £58

I've been making a real effort to apply SPF despite the miserable weather here in the UK. Even though it isn't hot and sunny it's still so important to wear an SPF on your face! I recently discovered this from IS Clinical which is very much a results driven brand. This SPF contains protection from UVA and UVB rays, in a lightweight, fast absorbing formula. I've been using this on my face and I haven't had any issues. This also contains moisturising and anti ageing ingredients. It works really well under makeup and I haven't found it leaves a White cast on my face! My only issue is I'm not a massive fan of the scent but this soon disappears when applied to the skin. Overall, I'm really happy with this! I'm actually intrigued to try their other dry shampoo as well.

Ouai Dry Shampoo Foam* | £24

Next I have this dry shampoo foam which has really surprised me! I have really thick, dry, curly hair so I don't really like regular, dry shampoos. Rubbing powder into my hair adds volume I don't want and just makes it super knotty and difficult to brush. But this foam is different. It doesn't take much rubbing to work in so adding volume isn't an issue, but you can add volume using this, depending on how you zjeuj the hair. I tend to find my hair gets drier as it needs washing rather than getting oily roots but this is almost moisturising and leaves my hair shiny, but not oily looking. Because it leaves my hair shiny I actually like to apply it all through the lengths too. This doesn't contain any water so it didn't make my hair go curly either! When I was at a Cult Beauty event with Jen Adkin (the founder of Ouai) she did a demo on a girl with oily hair. She applied it to the roots, worked it in, tipped her hair upside down and worked into it some more and she instantly had volume! Her hair really did look amazing after.  Definitely check this out if you have a similar hair type to me, I'm sure you would love it too. See this youtube video (here) for the best way to apply it!

Ouai Rose Hair Body Oil* | £25

I love the original Ouai Hair Oil so I was super excited by this multi tasking product. It can be used on the body and hair! And it works amazingly on both. As I've said I have super dry hair so this oil leaves it smooth and hydrating, while taming frizz and adding shine.  As a body oil my skin is instantly hydrated and smells amazing. It asborbs pretty quick too.

Iconic London Pigment Sticks* | £24.99

I actually brought one pigment stick and was sent Two other shades for contouring and highlighting. The Shade 3 is a perfect match to use as a foundation. And I really like this. It's super creamy and glides on to the skin and blends out with ease! It offers a good medium but build-able coverage, with a natural satin finish. The shade 2 is perfect for highlighting, the formula and finish are the same. And the shade 3.2 is perfect for contouring. The shade isn't too warm or too cool, it just looks natural. I really like how easy these are to apply and touch up on the go. My only issue is these don't last well, I found the foundation breaks down quite quickly and I have to apply powder over the top. I imagine if you have really dry skin you would love these.

Iconic London Illuminating Drops* | £32.99

I've been wanting to try these for the longest time so I was super happy when they landed on my door step. This is essentially a liquid highlighter. That is super pigmented! I have the shade Original which is the most beautiful Champagne colour with Gold undertones, I think this would suit most skintones. This is super concentrated and you only need a tiny dot for the most amazing glow! The light formula blends easily and well over makeup without moving or disturbing anything, leaving behind a beautiful sheen. Considering these are so pigmented and dewy they actually give a really natural highlighted look, I think it's because of the formula. I like to blend this in with a damp Beauty Blender for a seamless finish. Definitely check these out if you love a good glow!

Becca Sunlit Bronzer | £32

Becca just know how to do powder formulas, their blushers and highlighter are some of the softest and most bendable I've ever tried. So I was so excited for the bronzers. I went for the shade Bronzed Bondi which suits my medium skin tone well. It's slightly more on the warm side so I wouldn't use it for contouring. It's really pigmented but blends easily. I do find this sometimes applies a bit washy but nothing a bit of heavy blending doesn't sort.

Jouer Skinny Dip Lip Topper* | £13.50

Regular readers will know how I was little disappointed with the Rose Gold Lip Topper a few months back. I found that one was a little too chunky and glittery rather than metallic for my liking. But I'm in love with Skinny Dip! It's a gorgeous Champagne Gold colour that gives a lovely Golden sheen to the lips. It's worn over lipsticks or liquids or alone. The formula isn't sticky or gloopy, it's really smooth and buttery. I don't find this overly long wearing but that's to be expected from this kind of formula.

Overall, I'm really happy with all my high-end discoveries this month!

Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?

Until next time...
