Makeup Lately

I can't believe we are almost half through August already! Where has the year gone? Anyway it's that time where I share the makeup I've been reaching for lately...

The Ordinary High Adherence Silicone Primer | £3.90

I put off buying this for a long time because it had the word silicone in it. I don't tend to like this type of primer and they are far too drying for my dehydrated skin. But I love this, don't like the word silicone put you off this isn't like other primers I've tried before. It doesn't feel as dry and slippery as your typical silicone primer, it feels more like a light hydrating cream. It isn't drying at all and leaves my skin so smooth. Makeup applies really well over the top. I definitely think this extends the wear time too!

LA Girl Pro Coverage HD Foundation | £11 | REVIEW

I've returned to possibly my all time favourite foundation. I start using something else and go back to this and wonder why I did! If you have dry skin I really can't recommend this foundation enough. It has everything I want from a foundation, good coverage, a dewy finish and it's long lasting. This doesn't cling to any dry patches either.

Kevyn Aucion Sensual Skin Enhancer* | £38 | REVIEW

I've been reaching for this almost everyday since I got this. The price does make me wince a bit but it's one of the best concealers I've tried. The coverage is amazing, it's so full coverage. But it's doesn't look cakey at all. I only need a tiny amount and my dark circles are gone. It also works well on blemishes too. I do set this but I don't find creasing a problem.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette | £59 | REVIEW

Like the LA Girl Foundation these powders are my favourite setting powders and I put them down from time to time and wonder why. The shade Radiant Light is my favourite, It gives skin a gorgeous, lit from within glow while still setting my foundation. It never looks cakey no matter how much I put on, I don't find these drying either.

Milani Bronzer | £11 | REVIEW

For bronzer this has been my go to! The shade Soliel is a perfect warm toned but not Orange bronzer. It has subtle Gold shimmers in it that give my face life without looking glittery or highlighted. The formula is super blend-able and wear all day on me.

Fem Rosa Her | $16 | REVIEW

I've been using this little palette for blush and contouring since I got it. I love it. The bronzer is a perfect natural shade that's not too warm or too cool. It gives me the perfect contoured looked. The blush is a Rosey Pink colour that goes with any makeup look. Both these shades are really pigmented but blend out with ease.

Fem Rosa She Eyeshadow | $16 | REVIEW

I got this around the same time as the Yes Please Palette and I thought I'd like that one more but I actually prefer this one! It has a mix of warm and natural shades and a few matte and shimmers. It's perfect for creating a day time look. And the formula is so soft and blend-able.

So Me Brow Kit* | £24

For brows I've been loving this powder from So Me. The powder is slightly too dark for me but I've been enjoying a bolder brow. The formula of the powder is so soft, but not too soft it blends like eyeshadow. It's also really pigmented and makes it easy to achieve a full brow. The kit also comes with a really nice Pink toned highlighter, that works well at highlighting the brow bone.

GOSH Strobe n Glow Highlighter* | £12.99

Gosh have recently launched their A/W Collection. which contains a whole load of stunning new products (I will have a full post on it soon. But this is one of my favourites and I've been reaching for a lot. This is a super large compact that houses 4 different shades of highlighter, there is practically one for every skin tone! My favourite is the champagne toned one. It gives a very natural, lit from within glow. It's not chunky or glittery and looks beautiful on the skin.

Buxom Full On Lip Polish* | £15

My lip products have been rotating a lot but since discovering this, It has been my go to! The dolly is a really nice sheer Plum colour. This is a gloss but it has a unique plumping formula. But don't let that put you off, this isn't one of those horrible stingy lip glosses. It just feels fresh, like Minty on the lips. I'm not convinced this does actually plump the lips but the feeling is addictive!

So that's all the makeup I've been reaching for lately.

Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?

Until next time...
