Affordable Skincare That Works #2

Affordable skincare can be so hit and miss, well high-end skincare can be too but I find this more so when skincare is really cheap. But recently I have found some affordable gems that work equally well, if not better than some high-end products in my stash. I did do a similar post a while ago, you can read that here. For reference I have dehydrated skin that is prone to breakouts.

Sukin Sensitive Facial Moisturiser | £7.95 (currently on offer for £5.30 here) | REVIEW

I've been talking about this brand loads recently so sorry regular readers. But I do really love what I've tried. This moisturiser has been a staple in my everyday skincare routine. It's formulated with natural ingredients and without anything nasty like Parbens or Sulphates. It's aimed at sensitive skin, which I tend to go for in moisturisers. I don't have sensitive skin but I've found these types of products are less likely to break me out. The moisturiser is light and absorbs quickly but still really hydrating. It leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated all day.

Sukin Facial Recovery Serum | £13.95 (Currently on offer for £9.30 here) | REVIEW

Like the moisturiser this has become a staple too. This light, watery serum has really worked on my skin. It's super hydrating and has really helped plump my dehydration lines. The ingredients are also really impressive. It contains lactic acid that really helps brighten the skin. I think the concentration is quite low though because this doesn't have an instant dramatic effect like some lactic acids I've used but over time this has really helped improve me skin.

Sukin Hydrating Facial Mist | £7.95 (Currently on offer for £5.30 here) | REVIEW

I have a face mist problem! But this one is at the lower end of the price scale and is one of my favourites. I use it after cleansing and it feels really refreshing and hydrating on the skin. It also makes a great base for skin care to go on top.

Naturally Radiant Over Night Gycolic Peel | £5.99 (currently on offer for £2.95 here)

The Naturally Radiant range from Superdrug is definitely one to check if you're looking for brilliant skincare on a budget. This overnight treatment, in particular is one of my favourites! It contains AHA that works over night to leave the skin looking brighter and more refined in the morning. I'm really impressed with how well this works considering it costs just over £5! I apply it once a week and in the morning and my skin is so smooth and brighter. I don't find this too harsh or irritating on my skin either.

Urban Veda Night Cream* | £19.99

Ok so this is at the higher end of the affordable scale but this is such an amazing night cream I think it is well worth £20 and if it were priced at £40 I wouldn't argue with the price. This is an intensely hydrating cream, that's packed with hydrating ingredients. This cream is on the thicker side but it doesn't feel heavy or sticky on the skin. It actually absorbs quite quickly! In the morning my skin feels incredibly soft. I'm testing a few of their other products so keep your eyes peeled for more.

The Ordinary Salicylic Acid | £4.20 | REVIEW

I couldn't do a post like this and not include some products from The Ordinary! I didn't include everything I love though because I feel like I've been banging on about the brand a lot lately. See my Ultimate Recommendations From The Ordinary for more of their products. But anyway on to this product! This little bottle is packed with a brilliant spot fighting ingredient Sailcystic acid. And this works wonders on my breakouts. I tend to dab a small amount directly to the blemish before bed and in the morning they look a million times better! It helps redness, and shrinks it, and speeds up the whole healing process. I can't believe this costs just £4.20!

The Ordinary Caffeine Solution | £5.80

This is an a eye cream which has a serum consistency. It uses Caffeine to help reduce the appearance of puffiness and dark circles. The lightweight formula absorbs almost instantly, leaving my under eyes hydrated. I do actually think this has helped my dark circles! Nothing dramatic but my dark circles don't seem as hard to conceal. Which is amazing, I've never actually found an eye cream that lives up to it's claims.

I whole hearted love all these products here. I'm testing loads of other affordable products so expect another similar post. Do let me know if there's anything you would like me to review or include?

Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?

Until next time...
