4 Products That Wowed Me This Week

I have a few products that I've been absolutely loving. But I haven't been using them long enough to feature them in regular monthly favourites so I thought I'd share them here.

Gentle Yet Effective Acids

Acids / AHA's are really an amazing skincare ingredient! I've been using them for a few years now and my skin has never looked better. However, I do find that my skin is a little sensitive to some. I mean that they break me out and leave my skin looking and feeling angry. I'm not sure if this normal but if my skin is looking Red and feeling sore I don't think that is a good sign. So I wanted to share my favourite acids that are gentle yet effective.

5 Concealers That Are Amazing For Concealing Dark Circles And 5 That Aren't.

My horrendous dark circles are well documented on my blog. I'm always trying to find the best concealer to cover them. There are a few things I want from an under eye concealer, first of all it has to have full coverage (my dark circles aren't messing!) I don't want it to crease, crack or fade through out the day. And finally, I want it to look as natural as full coverage can be. So here are 5 that are really amazing and 5 that I don't rate.

The Best of Affordable Highlighters

I'll be the first to admit that I do tend to prefer high-end highlighters. The formulas tend to be far better and there's less chance of getting a powder filled with glitter. That being said the drugstore and more affordable brands have really upped their game when it comes to highlighters. So I've put together a little edit of my favourite ones that won't break the bank.

Noteworthy Newness From Natural World

This post was sponsored by Natural World. However all opinions are my own.

I'm all about natural haircare, I've found it's just far better for your hair. So when the newly repackaged brand landed on my doorstep I was super excited. Natural World is a cruelty free brand that uses only natural products where possible. They use super food ingredients for hair! I've been testing the Moisture Rich range. Which uses Moroccan Argan oil as its key ingredients. Argan oil really is a superfood for the hair; it's so hydrating and smoothing. The Moisture Rich range also doesn't contain Mineral oil or SLS and it's cruelty free and vegan. Here are my thoughts on the products.

My Favourite Brightening Skincare Products

Without a little help my skin is so Grey and dull looking, which isn't a great look. And with summer in sight, lighter bases are in so I want my skin to be looking naturally bright and radiant. Luckily I have a few products that really stop my skin being Grey and keep it bright and fresh looking.

Dupes / Affordable Alternatives #2

It's been a while since I did a dupes post! I've found some really good dupes of some hyped up new launches so I'm super excited to share this with you! Some of these aren't exactly more along the lines of alternatives but still very similar. I've tried to steer away from the out right copies and your Makeup Revolution dupes so hopefully some of these will be new to you.

Makeup Lately

This warm weather, then cold weather then warm again has left me rotating my products like crazy! So rather than make this post a million years long, I thought I'd just feature my absolute favourites I've been reaching for again and again. Make sure you check out my review links for more details. Without further ado.

4 Complexion Enhances For Bare Skin

We're coming into the season where bare skin is in. I personally, don't have perfect skin so I like to opt for a base that will give me a perfect look but still look like skin. The bases that will simply enhance my skin rather than mask it. Here are a few of my favourites.

3 Ingredients You Should Look For In Your Skincare - Part 2

As promised I'm back with 3 ingredients you should look for in your skincare. You can read part one here. As I explained in part one knowing what's in your skincare is so important and finding what ingredients work and don't work for you. So here are some more ingredients.

Achieving Full Coverage Without The Cake

I tend to lean towards foundations that have full to medium coverage. But there is a real struggle finding full coverage foundations that aren't thick, heavy and cakey on the skin. I have dry skin which makes this issue even worse! I do have a few foundations and tips that allow me to wear full coverage without the cakey face. So here they are.

A little Me Time With RUSH

I've recently had some hair disasters with my usually salon, but that's a story for another day. So I was looking for a new hairdresser when an email from RUSH dropped in my inbox, perfect timing! I thought I'd share my experience with you guys.

New In From The Ordinary

I was having a little browse of The Ordinary website and I noticed that they had a few new launches that I was completely unaware of. Given the ridiculously cheap price point of the brand, of course I had to check out with a few items. I've been testing them for a few weeks and I'm ready to report back.

5 Affordable Eyeshadow Palettes That Rival High-end Ones

Affordable eyeshadows can be so hit and miss. And I think good eyeshadows are worth investing in. There's nothing worse than washy, patchy eyeshadow, which sometimes is down to the quality of the shadows. That being said there are some amazing quality palettes out there that won't break the bank.

Best In Beauty | April

I don't really think these posts need an introduction anymore, the title pretty much sums up what this post is all about. So let's get straight into it. Here's what I've been loving throughout April.

5 Bases That Are Basically Facetune IRL

Looking flawless, pore-less, blurred and overall perfected tends to be the look I go for in makeup. If I could walk around looking like I've been Facetuned that would be great! Luckily I've found a few makeup products that really give me that perfected, flawless look. So here they are.

High-end Discoveries

It's been a while since I shared a few of my high-end discoveries. I have a couple of exciting launches to share with you guys so let's get into it.

4 Tips for Foundation Shopping Online

Online shopping for foundation can be a real task when it comes to shade matching. But I actually way prefer shopping online for makeup. I just don't like the department stores. And a few times I've been shade matched at counters, just to go home and find the shade doesn't match me! So I really don't see the point. Through the years I've become really good at shade matching myself online. Here are my tips:

4 Ingredients to Look Out for in Skincare

I think there's been in a shift in what we as consumers look for in skincare, we no longer want bold promises of perfect skin. We want to know what's in our skincare and how it's going to work. And knowing what's in your skincare and the key ingredients is so important. If you know what works for your skin you're more likely to get the results you want. Today I've compiled a list of ingredients to look for and how they work.

The Glowing Skin Kit (Updated)

My original Glowing Skin Kit Post is one of my all time most viewed posts ever! It's over 2 years old now and while I still love some of the products in that post my 'Glowing Skin Kit'  has changed. So I thought I'd give you an updated version.

A Few Drugstore Discoveries

Shea moisture reviews. maybelline superstay foundation review. Makeup revolution foundation drops review

I've been so into drugstore / affordable makeup recently. The new launches have been incredible and I think nowadays some drugstore products easily rival some high-end products. I've been testing loads of new goodies and I'm ready to report back.

Makeup Lately

I feel like I always rotate the same products, despite always testing new ones I also go back to the same ones. But I've have new products I've been reaching for over and over, and I've been trying different techniques to apply my makeup so I'm so excited to share this instalment of Makeup Lately with you.

Amazing Facial Oils that Give My Skin Life

Face oils are one of my favourite skincare products. I find them way more powerful in hydrating my skin than moisturiser or a serum. Face oils have a range of benefits, there's even some for oily skin. I have loads of different oils in my skincare rotation so today I wanted to share them with you.

Note Worthy Newness from Joico

Joico Blonde Life range is one of my favourite haircare lines for blonde hair! I lost count of the amount the of times I've repurchased the conditioner. The range is celebrating it's first birthday and to celebrate they've added a brand new product to the line! I've been testing this alongside the original products so I thought I'd give you a little over view.

11 Things to Check Out From M&S Beauty

M&S's beauty department is one of my favourite places. They have so many amazing brands from Pixi to Barry M! I can spend hours wondering round looking at all the beauty products. I've developed quite the collection of M&S Beauty buys so I thought I'd give you a little heads up of what to check out.

Pixi's Pretties Collection

Following the success of their last Pretties collection Pixi has teamed up with another group of influencers to bring us another brilliant collection! I was lucky enough to recieve the whole collection! So here it is.

7 Products That Wowed Me This Week

I've tested some amazing products in the past week or so. Some are new launches, some are products that I've only just got round to trying. Without further ado.

Affordable Skincare That Works

This post is sponsored by Super Facialist, however all opinions are my own.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, affordable skincare can be so hit-or-miss. Finding brands that you can trust and that offer real results can be tricky. Plus, my skin changes from day-to-day and month-to-month, so finding a tailored routine within one brand can be really tricky.

Super Facialist is a brand I've trusted for many years, I've spoken about them here and here. And they've just made it easier to find the right products for skin concerns, with their new skin diagnostic tool. I know my skin pretty well (what it responds to etc) and the result of the tool was pretty spot on regarding which products I needed.

I have dehydrated skin that's dull; so, I've been mixing a few products from the Rose line and Vitamin C line to tackle both these issues. Without further ado here are my thoughts.

Makeup That Went Above and Beyond My Expectations

I just love trying new things and I buy stuff that probably wouldn't be suited to my skin type, or stuff that has bad reviews but I still really wanted to try. And sometimes I have products that I don't think will be overly good but actually are. So today I thought I'd share the products that surprised me.

LIXIRSKIN - The Brand You Should Know About

I think it's pretty safe to say I'm a skincare junkie. I think it's well worth investing time and money in. I mean you only get one skin! I hadn't really heard of Lixir Skin until it landed on my desk and I started doing some research. Which made me pretty excited to try the products.

A few Spring Beauty Essentials

It's been a while since I've done a classic seasonal beauty edit so I thought I'd bring it back! Even though in the UK spring doesn't look like it's coming anytime soon. Here are a few beauty products I'm taking into spring.

Build your Perfect Palette with Phase Zero

For me building my own eyeshadow palette is game changing. I also find with ready made palettes there are also one or two shades that don't get used. I recently spoke about phase zero here. This month they have extended their makeup collection to eyeshadows as well. I loved the liquid lipsticks so much, so I was super excited to try the eyeshadows. You can even buy an empty palette to store them in.

5 Star Cleansers

Cleansing is probably my favourite part of skincare. It's just so satisfying to wash all my makeup off and I love the refreshing feeling of cleansing in the morning. I have dehydrated skin so finding a good cleanser that isn't too stripping and leaves my skin feeling tighter is important. So today I have a round up of my favourite cleansers.

Best In Beauty | March

This month was such a good month for favourites, I fell in love with so many products so here they are.

Blushes That Give My Face Life

Blush is one of my favourite steps in makeup. The right blush can completely transform the face, making it appear more alive, more glowing and healthy. So today I thought I'd share my favourite blushes that make me look alive.

Foundation Sticks - The Good, The Bad and the Ugly

If you're OG reader you'll remember this little series I started ages ago (you can read my previous The good, the bad and the ugly posts here) It's been a while but I thought I'd bring the series back. And today I'm talking foundation sticks. Foundation sticks have come a long way recently and gone are the days of a thick, cakey foundations that you basically paint on your face! Who remembers the Max Factor Pan Stick? If you've ever tried that foundation stick, you'll know what I mean. But anyway here are some foundations sticks that are amazing, ok and the ones that just should be avoided!

If You Have Dry, Damaged or Bleached Hair You Need This!

I have naturally very dry hair, that and regular bleaching sessions means my hair is not looking it's best. Breakage is becoming an issue and my hair is looking a little birds nesty. So when this Pureplex treatment landing on my desk I put it on my hair that evening!

Skincare I'm Just Really Loving

I try to make my posts as useful as possible and try to think of really good edits that you will all enjoy, but sometimes I just want to talk about things I'm just really loving. So that's what this post is - skincare I'm just really loving.

A few Drugstore Discoveries

I feel like the drugstores have been on it with there launches recently. I've been testing loads of drugstore finds and I'm ready to report back.

8 Products That Have Wowed Me This Week

I've testing makeup and skincare, as always but a few products I've tried have completely blown me away so here I am to share them with you guys.

Benefit Gold Rush Blush* | £25.50

Can you believe I've never tried a Benefit blush? I wasn't really sure what expect when this landed on my door step. But as soon as I opened this I feel in love with the shade. It's a stunning Peachy, Coral with Gold shimmers in it. In the box this does look super shimmery, almost like a highlighter but this doesn't translate on the face. It gives the cheeks a luminous glow, makes my face look alive and lifted! The formula isn't overly powderery and it doesn't look like powder on the skin. It also lasts all day on me. This is exclusive to Cult Beauty. I now need to try more blushes from Benefit!

Rosie For Autography Cream Shadow Sticks* | 12.50

I just love the convenience of shadow sticks. Just swipe and go. I was completely blown away by these ones from Rosie For Autography. They are so pigmented, so creamy but once they have set these do not budge! They stay vibrant and bold all day. I have 3 shades:

Almond Eyes - this is a really nice Pinky, Champagne colour. I love this as an inner corner highlighter. I also like this as a subtle wash of colour all over the lid.

Feline Fox - is a beautiful Brown colour with an Olive shift to it. It's a pretty shade that looks so nice all over the lid.

Movie Star Crush - this looks like it's a Bronzey colour in the stick but it's actually like Brown, Purple colour. It looks gorgeous all over the lid.

Overall, I'm so impressed with these! If your looking for a quick, easy shadow that will last all day look no further.

LIXIRSKIN Electro Gel Cleanser* | £25

Well this brand just wins in terms of packaging! I love the simple Pink tubes. I do plan on doing a review of all the products I've been trying from this brand but I wanted to give this cleanser a mention because it was love at first use! It's a rich cream cleanser that is a real pleasure to use! It melts away makeup, lifts away impurities and toxins in the skin. It has a clever science behind it to. It has a negative charge which attracts impurities to deeply clean the skin! After one use my skin felt so smooth and clean. But not stripped! I'm in love.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Bronzer | £29

ABH has been on fire with their new launches. I've brought them all. I've spoken about the Soft Glam (here) and the Amrezy highlighter (here), both of which I love but I was completely blown away by this bronzer. I have the shade Tawny which is the perfect contour shade, it's not too cool, nor too warm. It sculpts my cheek bones in the most perfect, natural way. The formula is easily one of the best I've come across. It's so buttery and not like a powder at all. It fuses with my base products and looks so natural, but still visible. I need to get a warmer shade next for bronzing my whole face.

GOSH Copenhagen Illuminating Primer* | £14.40

I've been a serious primer Junkie, I just can't get enough of them. One that I've been loving is this illuminating One from GOSH. It has a Yellow tone to it which brightens up the complexion. It isn't as runny as most illuminating primers but I prefer this, it also helps to fill in pores and blur fine lines. It gives my skin a lovely healthy glow without looking shiny, or glittery. Makeup applies beautifully overly the top and it keeps my base looking radiant all day. If your in the market for an illuminating primer I really can't recommend this enough.

Becca Liquid Crystal Glow Gloss | £18

Cult Beauty had a discount on Becca so it would have been rude of me not to order a few things. I went for this gloss and I'm impressed with it. I went for the shade Opal X Jade which is a really pretty sheer Pink. I love to use this as a lip topper with my favourite liquid lipsticks. It gives the lips that juicy, plump look. The formula is slightly thicker than some glosses but it's not heavy or sticky, it actually helps it to last a bit longer.

ByBi Beauty Lip Duo* | £9 Each

Well these technically didn't wow me this week but I wanted to include them because I'm obsessed with them. The lip scrub smells amazing and contains gritty, scrubby particles that buff away any dead skin on the lips. It also contains sweet Almond oil to hydrate the lips to. This has really saved my dry chapped lips. The Lip plumper is equally as amazing. It's a super hydrating balm that instantly soothes and hydrates dry lips. It also contains Peppermint which increases blood flow to lips making them appear plumper. I've been using them both and dry, flaky lips are no longer an issue.

BYBI Supercharged serum* | £32

Another product I've been loving from BYBI is this serum. This weird weather has really taken it out of my skin so I've been really enjoying anything soothing and hydrating. This serum in particular has quickly become a staple in my routine. It's packed with super hydrating ingredients like Squalene and Nut Seed oil. It has a really silky smooth consistency that feels so nice on the skin! It has really helped keep my skin hydrated. Plus all BYBI products are 100% natural, cruelty free and vegan. So the brand is definitely one to check out.

Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?

Until next time...

I actually had no idea who Amrezy (AKA Amra) was until I saw this on Anastasia Beverly Hill's Instagram. When I did I just knew I had to have it. As regular readers will know I'm bit of a highlighter junkie so I thought I'd let you guys know if this is worth the hype.

Two Beauty Tools I Never Knew I Needed

I've discovered Two beauty tools from Philips that have quickly become essentials in my routine. But they are products that I never even thought I needed. So today I wanted to share them with you.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam

The beauty community went crazy when they saw Anastasia Beverly Hills were going to launch this palette. And for good reason, it's stunning! It's a warm natural palette, with a mix of mattes and shimmers. Modern Renaissance is one of my most of loved palettes and I think ABH have just hit the nail on the head when it comes to eyeshadows so as soon as launch day rolled around, I brought this straight away, with no second thoughts!
