High-End Discoveries

Another month, another High-End Discoveries post. Last month was exciting in terms of makeup discoveries so here I am to share them with you guys.

Previse Marine Granules Scrub* | £45

I was kindly invited to Harvey Nichols for the launch of Previse Skincare. Which is a clean beauty brand with efficiency at the heart. I've been testing this scrub and I'm really impressed! It uses fossilised Algae and Botanics to gently buff away dead skin cells and encourage the skin to renew itself. This does contain scrubby particles but don't let that put you off, they are so gentle on the skin, they're not abrasive at all. It leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth! I've been using this 1-2 times a week and my skin definitely looks more glowing.

Cover FX Glitter Drops* | £35

I also went to the launch of Cover FX Glitter Drops with the amazing makeup artist Patrick Ta. These glitter drops are like the custom enhancer drops on steroids! If you love a super glow then these are for you! They do contain glitter but they don't look overly glittery on the face, it's just a really intense sheen! There are 3 shades available. I have two, Mirage which is a multi tonal Champagne colour and Lunar which is a multi tonal pastel blue. Both shades are really easy to blend into the skin and give such a beautiful highlight to the face! They can also be layered together and mixed with Cover FX regular drops for a customisable glow.

Cover FX Shimmer Viel* | £22

If there's one thing Cover FX do well it's shimmer so I was super excited to see they had ventured into the world of colour, in the form of these Shimmer Viels. They are multi use creams that can be used on the eyes or lips. I personally like to use them on the eyes. They really pack in punch in terms of pigment and give the eyes a wash of stunning shimmer. I have 3 shades:

Moonstone - which is a beautiful shimmering Topaz colour. I was a little worried this shade would be too Pink for me but it looks stunning on! I like to use it as a matte colour in my crease, then apply this all over the lips and it looks stunning!

Soliel - is a gorgeous shimmery Peachy Bronze colour. It's my favourite shade and works well over the lid. It's perfect for everyday wear too.

Halo - This looks like a pale Mint colour in the tube but it translates to an icy Blue colour on me. It's a really pretty shade and makes a bold inner corner highlight.

Once all of these have set in place they do not budge, crease or fade! They are also super easy to apply.

Huda Mauve Obsessions Palette | £25

I realised that nearly every palette in my collection was warm toned so I wanted to add a cooler one in, although this isn't as cool as I'd imagined, I love it though! Huda's shadow formula is incredible. All of the shades in the palette are really pigmented and so easy to blend. Most of the shades in here are Mauve toned with some Pink ones in there too. It can create a range of looks. I'm so happy I got this.

Makeup Forever Stick Foundation | £30

If you've been following me for a while you'll know how disappointed I was with the Makeup Forever HD Foundation which is why, despite all the rave reviews, I put off buying the stick version. I finally caved though and I'm so glad I did. The finish of this foundation is amazing! It has a satin finish that isn't overly glowing but it makes my skin look so healthy! The stick itself is really creamy and easy to apply. It blends so easily, I like to use a brush. My only issue with this is the wear time. This starts to breakdown and wear off after around two hours on me. Which is strange because I don't have oily skin. If you have a way to make this wear longer please let me know because I love the finish so much!

Indie Lee Q10 Toner | £30

I brought this toner hybrid on a bit of whim but I'm so glad I did! This is a hydrating toner / essence that uses q10 and Hyaluronic acid to protect, hydrate and repair the skin. This is actually really hydrating for a toner and gives my dehydrated skin the extra layer of hydration it needs. I'm looking forward to seeing the long term effects of this.

OUAI Anti Frizz Sheets* | £20

I did do whole review on these yesterday here. But I wanted to mention them again because I'm obsessed with them. I got a few questions on if one sheet would be enough for a lot of hair and yes it would! I have long, thick hair and one sheet is more than enough. The sheets themselves are lightly saturated in hair loving oils that smooth and tame frizz. Leaving it soft, shiny and of course all frizz is gone! They're perfect for travel and hair styling on go, the fun box makes them ideal for throwing in your handbag.

Nude Stix Bronzer* | £32

Lastly I have this Nude Stix Bronzer which has quickly become an everyday essential in my makeup routine! It's a cream bronzer in a stick form which makes it so easy to apply. It even has a brush on the other end to blend it out with. I have the shade Bondi Bae which is a medium, warm Brown. Although this isn't too warm it can still be used for contouring. The consistency of it is super creamy and easy to draw on without smudging the makeup underneath. It wears really well to! Definitely one to check out.

So that's all the high-end discoveries I've made recently.

Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?

Until next time...
