New In The Drugstore!!

Boots and Superdrug (the two main drugstores here in the Uk) are currently on 3 for 2 across all makeup and accessories. With all the new launches at the moment, things happened and I left with all the above (sorry bank balance). Here's what I got:

Barry M are killing it at the moment with all their new launches - from nail vanishes to palettes. And with a 3 for 2 offer how could I resist!

Barry M Flawless Brightening Primer // £5.99
This cold weather does nothing for my skin! So when I noticed Barry M had added primers to their collection I was very intrigued. I picked the brighting one (their are currently 3 - the original & colour correcting). This purple serum is silky smooth on the skin, formulated without oil and is infused with vitamin E to keep makeup looking fresher for longer. It also has added hibiscus to help even skin tone. At £5.99 how could I resist! I used this a few times and this does leave my skin feeling silky smooth and helps keep my makeup lasting all day. With regards to evening skin tone - I don't about that, but I will keep persisting!

Barry M Super Natural Eyeshadow Palette (Superdrug limited edition) // £6.49
When ever I see anything that is limited edition in stock I HAAAVVEE to buy it and this was no execption! This palette is a beautiful collection of matte and shimmer eye shadows. Ranging light pinks, coppers and a deep purple. I haven't actually used this yet, but I own a few Barry M eye shadow palettes and I'm a massive fan. So I don't think this will disappoint!

Barry M Flawless Light Reflecting concealer // £4.49
I'm not sure if this is a new launch from Barry M but I've never seen it before so i'm now it's proud owner! This promises to cover imperfections without caking. Its infused with cucumber and aloe extract to smooth the skin. I really like this! Its perfect for covering dark circles and highlighting cheek bones and the centre of the face.

Barry M Satin Slick Lip paint // £4.49
These sleek gun metal packs house the new satin lip paints from Barry M. These are formulated shea butter and vitamin E to create a dewy, hydrating formula, with intense colour pay off. I have the shade 170 mauve it. Which is a beautiful mauve, purple colour. The only downside to this lipstick is the lasting power. Because it is so hydrating it only lasted around 2 hours on me. But hey ho, I love the colour that hasn't stopped me from wearing it!

Collection are also on fire with their new launches! I really wanted their new blush palette but that was out of stock (sob).

Collection Conceal and Light Like A Pro Palette // £5.99
I'm currently loving colour correcting concealers at the moment. I have a whole post on colour correcting, you can read it here. So obviously at less than £6 this made its way home with me. And being the master minds behind the lasting perfection concealer this has a lot to live up too. This really does live up to the lasting perfection standards! The palette contains 8 shades that can be used to colour correct and conceal all areas of the face. The darkest shade could also be used as a contour shade on paler skin tones. My favourite is the yellow toned concealer for concealing those annoying dark circles.

Collection Your Style Your Mood palette // £5.99
This little palette surprisingly houses 10 eye shadows. 5 of which are olive and brown toned, the other 5 are pink and purple toned. So whether you want to opt for a toned down, casual day time look or a more dramtic evening look, this palette has it all! The formula of these are amazing for the price! They are smooth and buttery, and blend out with ease!

Collection Illuminating Touch Foundation // £3.99
This budget friendly beauty is a hydrating foundation that leaves skin with a naturally radiant finish. I can't believe this foundation is less than £4!! Its amazing and rivals those with a much higher price tag! This has a medium but buildable coverage, blends out with ease, lasts all day and leaves my skin looking naturally radiant. I have shade 3 which, sadly, is too pale for me. But there are 6 shades in the range.

Makeup Revolution Ultra Sculpt & Blend Collection // £14.99
This aystectially pleasing set contains 3 brushes and 'beauty blender' style sponge to meet all your needs from contouring, blending and contouring all in one handy set! They are also synthetic so they are perfect for holding the product. These brushes are amazing value for money considering the quality of them! I like to use the largest brush for foundation, the medium one for concealer and the smallest one for blending out eye shadow. I'm personally not a fan of using sponges (I find they sheer my foundation out too much) so I haven't used it yet.

Maybelline Master Ink Liquid Eyeliner in Satin // £4.99
This is liquid eye liner that has a smart tip for easy application and black carbon pigments for deep black intensity, in a smudge proof formula. I love this, the applicator really does make creating the perfect wing easy! This is perfect for beginners!

Have you tried any of these, What did you think of them? What have you been buying lately?

REVIEW // Makeup Forever Ultra HD foundation

There was so much buzz around Makeup Forever being available from Debenhams as it had previously been difficult to get hold of in the UK. And with their original HD foundation being loved by many, when they released the ultra HD version, with so many good reviews I NEEDED to try it!

This foundation has been developed for use in the film and TV industry and promises to create a naturally flawless finish on and off camera. With such advanced technology this promises to be completely invisible under 4k lens. A 4k camera has 8million pixels meaning that detail is stronger and the image is much clearer. The foundation provides a medium buildable coverage, with a light weight second skin feel. It's also formulated with hyaluronic spheres for all day comfort on all skin types. There are 40 shades to choose from. YES 40! Meaning all skin tones are covered. Although this did make matching my shade online rather tricky. I picked up the Y315 Sand. Which actually matches my skin tone perfectly (go me)!

I don't think I've been more excited to try a foundation and was really hoping this would be the one. The consistency is very light weight and easy to blend. Although I did found the coverage more on the sheer side, it did require some building. I definitely prefer coverage on the full side so I was not to pleased to have to build this, although this is good for those who prefer to have coverage choice. The finish is definitely very skin like - not too matte but not too glowy. This does have amazing lasting power! It lasted all day with out caking, going patchy or shiny! So that was a major plus! (I have combination skin, depending on the time of year) I can see why this is loved by makeup artists and those in the film industry. Although, I don't think this is the best foundation I've ever tried. I prefer foundations to be more glowy and to not have to build the coverage. I didn't find it comfortable either - it felt a bit dry through out the day. Oily skins will probably love this. Overall, I think this foundation is ok. I don't love and I don't hate it. And at £29 pound a pop I was definitely expecting a lot more! Will my quest ever end?!!

Makeup Forever Ultra HD foundation is available here.
Have you tried this foundation? What did think? Also leave me your favourite foundation recommendations below.. I will find the perfect one!!!

HANNAH Jewellery // The Lastest Must Haves

I've always been a gold jellewery kinda girl, but since getting engaged (my engagement ring is silver)I've been on the hunt for some silver pieces. Which is when I stumbled upon the instagram page of HANNAH Jewellery and I fell in love!

At HANNAH all the pieces are hand made, wearable, stylish and simple. Being hand crafted means that each piece is unique to you! Which I absolutely love! There is a great range to chose from: necklaces, rings, bangles and earrings.
Each piece come beautifully packaged, in a little parcel with a string bow. They are also bubble wrapped to prevent them getting damaged in the post. The pieces I got are:

Pewter Heart Necklace // £20*
This is my favourite of the two. Its a simple heart shaped pendant on a beautiful silver chain. It looks stunning will almost any outfit and I haven't stopped wearing it! This can also be personalised, making it a lovely gift for that special someone or something unique for yourself!

Silver Bow Bangle // £22*
This a delicate (but sturdy) looking simple silver bangle with a stunning bow detail. Its also sterling silver so it wont fade or leave horrible green marks behind! It looks amazing on its own or stacked with others to add something extra to an outfit. This is perfect for that! It would also make a brilliant Christmas gift.

My Christmas list is now filled with HANNAH jewellery! Be sure to go check out the site HERE. There's something for everybody, you wont be disappointed!

Colour Correcting // The Game Changer

Where would I be without concealer? And I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking this! Thanks to that trusty stuff we able to hide a multitude of problem areas - from spots, blemishes, dark circles, discolouration and to highlight the cheek bones and other areas of the face!
Although, these days, concealers not on only come in skin tone shades, they come in many different colours (green, purple, yellow, white, pink and many more). Each shade has a different problem area they are best to conceal. With many brands bringing out different types of 'colour correctors',  knowing what colours are best to conceal what can be a total game changer!
So what colour is best for what?
Yellow concealers:
Yellow tones cancel out purple and blue, making them perfect for concealing bruises, veins and
dark circles. My dark circles are purple and blue toned so discovering yellow toned concealers were a total life saver! I have a whole post on my favourite concealers for dark circles. You can read it here!
Green Concealers:
Who else remembers the green Hide The Blemish Concealer from Rimmel? It was one of the 1st concealers I brought. I had no idea at the time though what it was for! But, Green cancels out the colour red. So green concealers are perfect for hiding any redness and spots.
Purple / lilac / lavender Concealers:
Purple counteracts yellow tones and ashy-ness in yellow skin tones. So purple will add beautiful glow to dull yellow complexions.
Pink / Salmon toned concealers:
These toned concealers are a hero for hiding those hideous dark circles! Salmon and pink tones counteract blue tones and purple tones so are perfect for hiding signs of a late night!
White Concealers:
White concealers are perfect for highlighting, such as the cheek bones. But go easy with a light hand! It can be easy to look more hospital patient than perfectly contoured like Kim K! Blending is crucial!
Skin toned concealers:
These are your standard concealers that are perfect if your problem areas are easy to cover (lucky you if they are)! They're also handy to go over any areas that are tinted from any colour correcting concealer you've already used!
In the picture above is the Makeup Revolution Concealer Palette (available here), which has all the shades described above. This bargain beauty is perfect for all your concealing needs! I'd also recommend using colour correctors before foundation for a truly flawless base.
What are your favourite colour correcting products? And does Colour correcting work for you?

AHAs and BHAs // Why you should be using them!

I was quite fortunate as a teenager that bad skin was never a problem, until I hit 24 when adult acne started and I have become concerned with aging and preventing it! That's when I discovered AHAs and BHAs.
AHAs, or Alpha Hydroxy Acids are becoming a massive part of the beauty industry with almost every brand bringing out products that contain them. But what exactly are they you may ask? Well, AHAs are derived from fruit and milk and are sometimes listed as glycolic and / or latic acid. These acids help break down dead skins to reveal, fresh glowy, radiant skin. They also help improve and prevent wrinkles and fade dark spots. In short, they are basically chemical exfoliators. For products to really work and transform the skin you want to find one that contains around 4-5% of the AHA and use it around twice a week. AHAs have been know to increase the skins sensitivity to sun light! So bare this in mind and apply an SPF.
BHA is short for Beta Hydroxy Acid. Is another form of chemical exfoliator but they penetrate deeper into the skin. The ingredient to look for here is salicyic acid. BHAs are recommend for oily, spot prone skin. These can be very drying though, so I probably wouldn't recommend BHAs solely to remove dead skin cells.
Since my adult acne has cleared up (thank goodness) I stopped using BHA as I don't normally have oily skin. But my top AHA products are:

PIXI Glow Tonic // £18
A cult classic, and for good reason! Enriched with glycolic acid this helps brighten, tone and fade marks, all in one easy step! It contains horse chestnut to boost blood flow and witch hazel to help tone! This is effective and gentle at the same time, so it can be used by all skin types. I apply this to a cotton pad and wipe over my face after cleansing in the morning and evening. This is instantly refreshing and leaves my skin really smooth. I've also noticed an improvement in the dehydration lines on my forehead since using this, so it's definitely doing its job!

Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Exfoliating Facial Pads // £12.99 (currently on offer for £8.66)
These are very similar to the PIXI Glow Tonic but in a pre soaked pad form. These promise retexture and unveil younger fresher looking skin. With added hyaluronic acid and witch hazel to help moisturise and tone. I use these after cleansing and they do leave my skin feeling super soft and smooth!

Soap and Glory Scrub Your Nose In It // £9
This combines a manual scrub and a chemical exfoliants in one for a superb clean! This helps lift away dead cells, soak up excess oils and stimulate blood supply to the face. This says it formulated for oily to combination skin. I wouldn't say my skin is oily but can be slightly combination at times and I absolutely love this! It leaves my skin feeling super clean and fresh! I use this 3 times a week, in the usual 'scrub way' and then leave it on for 2 minutes before rinsing away and leaving behind brilliantly, clean, smooth skin!

REN Glycolatic Radiance Renewal Mask // £32
This is similar to the PIXI Glow Tonic but in a concentrated mask form. This promises to deep clean, help comeback congestion, reduce blackheads, reduce the appearance of fine lines. For brighter younger looking skin. Sounds like a miracle in a bottle doesn't it? And it REALLY is! The best face mask I have ever used. The consistency is very thick, like jam. I smother this all over my face and leave it on for 15 minutes. The results are instant. After removal I'm left with brighter, smoother and just better looking skin in general. This is pricy but well worth every penny!

What are your top AHA and BHA products? I'm looking for a cheaper dupe of the REN mask, so let me know if you know of any!

REVIEW: Loreal True Match Foundation (NEW FORMULA)

I didn't really like the original True Match and never really got the hype around it. I found it cakey looking and dry looking on my skin. So when I heard it had be re formulated to celebrate its 10 year anniversary, I knew I had to try it, in the hope it would end my quest for the 'perfect' foundation. The new formula offers new shade enhancers for better shade matching (theres nothing worse than finding a great a foundation but the colours off!). Skin perfecting pigments and a creamy texture for a flawless finish.
I have the shade 4.D Golden Natural which is a pretty good match, its slightly too orange for me.. but I guess that's my fault for not matching it correctly. The formula of this is completely different to the original, it is very creamy, it glides and blends effortlessly. It has a medium buildable coverage. And the finish is luminous but matte - very skin like.
The wear time was ok. It start to breakdown and go patchy after about 5 - 6 hours after application. Which probably isn't ideal if you have a long day. Overall, this, for me, is definitely better than the original! And I actually really like it. For £9.99 its a very good foundation. The new formula would be great for those who have dry skin, because of the new added oils and skin care benefits. Although, I'm not sure how everyone is going to feel about the new formula, as it was greatly loved by many!

Loreal True Match Foundation is available here (£9.99).

Have you tried the new formula? What did you think?

The Autumn / Winter Must Have: Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eye Showdow pallette

This Autumn / winter I've been on the hunt for some very warmed toned browns and something a bit different to your average nude palette. On my hunt I stumbled across this offering from Zoeva. I haven't tried anything from them before, but there is such much hype around their brushes   (they are next on my list!)  and this palette in particular was always out of stock so there must be good reason - I thought, so I ordered this as soon as could! This £15.50 beauty is inspired by warm truffle colours, nougat and marzipan (sounds good enough to eat!). The palette has 10 shades ranging from beautiful mattes, duo chromes and stunning glitter finishes.

Top row (left to right) Bitter Start, Sweeter End, Warm Notes, Subtle Blend, Beans are White.
Botton row (left to right) Pure Ganache, Substitute for Love, Freshly Toasted, Infusion, Delicate Acidity.

  • Bitter Start is your standard off white matte shade. Perfect as a base colour or for those who like a matte inner corner highlight.
  • Sweeter End is shimmer duo chrome, that's neutral with slight pink undertones. Perfect for all over the lid or as an inner corner highlight for darker skin tones.
  • Warm Notes is a glittery cranberry purple. This is a great shade for those who want a subtle hint of colour.
  • Subtle Blend is metallic deep bronze shade that looks stunning all over the lid or under the lower lash line for added drama.
  • Beans are White - despite the odd name this is an amazingly pigmented matte black.
  • Pure Ganache is a lovely metallic gold, that looks beautiful all over the lid or on the outer 3rd of the eye.
  • Substitute for Love is a toffee brown with very slight shimmers running through it. This is a perfect crease transition colour.
  • Freshly toasted is a stunning warm toned matte brown with red undertones. This is my favourite of the lot! I like to use in the crease, outer v and lower lash line.
  • Infusion is described as matte dark brown, but i'd say this is more black, with a golden glitter running through it. This looks amazing on the outer v for a dramatic smoky eye!
  • Delicate Acidity is a shimmery brown with strong purple undertones. This adds a lovely subtle wash of colour all over the lid.

The packaging is sleek and compact, ideal for traveling. But its what inside the truly counts, right? And the shades, pigmentation and blendability are amazing!! The shadows themselves are butter smooth and blend out with ease. The palette is so versatile - from creating a subtle every day look to a more dramatic evening look. This palette has it all! I highly recommend this, I love the warm tones in autumn and winter! Get it while you can because its limited edition.

Zoeva Cococa Blend Eye shadow palette is available here.

Born Pretty Store

Being the complete makeup junkie I am, When I was contacted by the lovely people at Born Pretty Store I just had to try out some their bits! Born pretty store is an online shop ( that sell almost everything beauty related, from nail art to makeup brushes and everything in between at great, affordable prices!

Danni Professional Mousse foundation in the shade 001 // £1.69*
This (weirdly) is described on the website as concealer but the packaging says it foundation (confusing, right?). But that aside I was actually presently surprised by this! The description says that it can be used as a foundation, eye shadow and concealer to cover dark circles and blemish's.
It has a soft, blendable texture and definitely isn't a mousse as the name suggests! The product is more solid. I've used this as foundation and a concealer. I prefer it as a foundation, just because the texture is more foundation like. It concealed all my blemishs (win)! And what makes this even better is the price.. This was just £1.69!! A total bargain for the quality of product!

Me Now Long Lasting Lip Gloss in the shade 33 // £1.50*
This isn't a lip gloss as the name suggests, Its more of a liquid lipstick. I don't own too many liquid lipsticks so I was intrigued to try this. This promised a matte velvet, long lasting finish, And this really does live up to what it promises! This by far is the longest lasting lipstick I've ever tried! It survived meal, drinks and even a nap! I applied this first thing in the morning and you could still see the colour at 7pm without any touch ups! And the shade.. Is autumn winter in a tube! Its a beautiful deep red colour with brown undertone. This is quickly becoming one of my favourite lipsticks! Even better this comes in at just £1.50!!

Have you tried anything from born pretty store? Or these products? What did you think?

NEW IN: Soap & Glory

So Soap and Glory were on offer (3 for 2) and with the new launch of the One Heck Of A Blot foundation and primer the offer was to good to turn down! I picked up the new foundation and primer (obvs) and the Archery brow tint and precision shaping pencil.

One Heck Of A Blot Instant Perfecting Power Primer // £10

Anything with 'perfecting' in the title is sure fire way to get me to buy it so I am now the proud owner of this! This claims to prevent shine and shrink pores for all day shine control, helps hide imperfections, even out skin tone, reduce the appearance of redness, help makeup last longer and it contains Vitamin E for added glow. Sounds amazing doesn't it! After application this really does leave my skin feeling super smooth and makeup glides on effortlessly. I don't really have oily skin, but depending on what foundation I use, I do get a bit shiny towards the end of the day. I've tried this with all my favourite foundations and the shine is kept at bay, and pores are undetectable! I don't really think this has any coverage to help hide imperfections and redness though. But as £10 primers go, this is a very good one! And a must for oily skinned gals out there!

Soap and Glory One Heck Of A Blot Foundation // £10

Full coverage, Flawless, shine free, poreless and  no caking is what this foundation has to offer (sounds too good to be true)! Despite the bad reviews I'd heard on this on I decided to try it for myself! And this, sadly is too good to be true. This is very thick and difficult to blend. It went patchy and almost started to separate when I was applying. I persisted over a few days with different primers and brushes, nothing seemed to work. The shade wasn't even a very good match. I have the Cool Sand which was to pale. There are also only four shades to choice from, so I wouldn't hold out too much hope if you have a darker skin tone. DISSAPOINTED to some this up!

Archery Brow Tint and precision Shaping pencil // £10

I'm trying to get into more brow products so this completed the 3 for 2 offer. Its double ended, with 1 end being a very fine felt pen and the other end a pencil, for fuller beautiful shaped brows. I really like the pen end! Its so easy to fill in the brows with and leaves them looking natural, full and defined. The pencil end was slightly disappointing. I found it very difficult to apply and was pressing so hard the product began to crumble!!

Have you tried any these? How did you get on with the foundation and Brow Archery? I'd love to know!

Until next time...

The Beauty Brief

I've found over the first few months of blogging that I have a lot of products that are sometimes difficult to work into posts. I may not be necessarily loving them, but you guys might, or products that just I want to talk about, that don't really deserve a whole post! So the beauty brief will be those products!

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue // £23.40

This is a BB, CC and tinted moisturiser in one, in a gel like formula. This offers a light, but buildable coverage. I'm not too sure why I brought this because I've not been a fan of BB and CC creams in the past. But I really like the finish of this, its very 'glowy' and fresh looking. Although I found the staying power of this was not great (disappointed, I really wanted to love this!). I think it was the natural oils in my skin that affect the wear time of this. So i'd definitely recommend this for dry skins! I have the shade 05 which is a pretty good match for me.

Vitamin E Refreshing Tonning Mist // £2.99

My skins been feeling dehydrated lately (I don't have dry skin, I have normal skin that gets dehydrated) and, sometimes throughout the day, I can almost feel it sucking the moisture out of my makeup (which is not a good feeling in the slightest), so I picked this up as a re fresh throughout the day. Its a refreshing tonner in a spray form. It contains vitamin E and Horse chestnut (what ever that is) along with a range of other vitamins to help moisturise the skin. I really like this, its definitely refreshing and makes my makeup feel more comfortable!

Essie Nail Polish Cashmere Matte in the shade Cozy in Cashmere // £7.99

Essie, Is, hands down my favourite nail polish brand! The formula and the colour range ticks all the boxes for me! So when I spotted their new cashmere matte range I hand to pick a few up! The colours are matte with hints of shimmers of them. The shade cozy in cashmere is stunning mauve colour with violet under tones and it looks so pretty on the nails! I can not rate the SHADE highly enough although the only downside is the lasting power! It literally chipped with an 2 hours of painting my nails (not ideal). And I cant use my trusty Sech Vite, because its matte and the top coat makes it glossy.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray // £21

The name pretty much sums this up, its a makeup setting spray. I like this, I'm not quite sure if it affects the wear time of my makeup but it definitely keeps it looking fresher for longer. I mean it helps prevent my eye concealer from creasing and just makes it look freshly applied for longer. Has anyone found this makes there makeup last longer?

What do guys think about this kind of post? Also has you tried any of these products? What did you think? I'd love to know :)

Until next time...

Sometimes (more like all the time) hitting the snooze button and getting an extra 10 minutes in bed is far more important than doing my makeup! But leaving the house bare faced sometimes isn't an option so I have discovered some products that are quick, easy and look well put together.

Loreal True Match Genius // £12.99

A primer, foundation, concealer and powder in one, this ticks all the boxes. So there's no need for extra, time consuming steps. This glides on so smoothly and is full coverage so it hides most imperfections, I still like to add concealer under my eyes though. Its a matte finish but not cakey and lasts all day. I find I don't need a powder with this but really oily skins might like to. I like to apply this with my Real Techniqes buffing brush and requires minimal blending! I have the shade 4.N Beige, which matches my skin tone perfectly.

Benefit Boi-ing concealer // £17.50

This is my current go to for concealing dark circles (I have a whole post on my top concealers for dark circles, you can read it here). Say good-bye to dark circles with this full coverage little beauty! Its easy to blend, lasts all day and doesn't crease! I like to apply this with my fingers and any signs of a late night / early morning are gone! I have the 01 which is lighter than my skin tone which is perfect for highlighting the under eye area.

Max Factor Crème Puff Blush in the shade 05 Lovely pink // £8.99

This is the perfect colour for achieving that perfect awake glow! It has multi tonal pigments that blend effortless to give an instant flush of colour and acts as a highlighter too. I like to apply this on my cheek bones to help sculpt and lift the face.

Most of the time I definitely do not have time in the mornings to be blending two or more eye shadows! The Maybelline colour tattoos are a life saver for those times! These provide 24hr wear, great pigmentation in creamy gel like formula that are so easy to apply! I like to apply them with my fingers, all over the lid. I recommend all the colours, But my Favourites are:
  • Crème De Nude - This is my current favourite! Its a beautiful matte nude with yellow undertones. A perfect every day colour.
  • On and On Bronze - This bronzy brown shade is perfect for everyday wear either on its swept across the lid or blended with another shade for a more dramatic look.
  • Pink Gold - A beautiful shimmery Pink with gold hues, a perfect hint of colour that make eyes pop!
This a 2 in 1 eye shadow and eye liner, making a must for early mornings. This blends so effortlessly in the convinance of a stick! The shade is a lovely beige, gold with some shimmer.

If you like mega volumulised lashes this is the mascara for you! One coat is all I need to make me look wide eyed and awake. This doesn't flake, smudge or budge!
This Liquid lipstick provides the coverage of a lipstick and the finish of a gloss. This pinky nude shade is perfect everyday shade that glides on effortlessly and easily!
What are you favourite products to use when you're in a rush in the morning?

This Is Instagrams Fault...

Instagram (to me) is the place where makeup dreams live! Beautifully arranged products, That look so stunning and pleasing on the eye. So after seeing many pictures of the beautiful Milani Baked Blushes all over my feed, The amazing gold packaging shouting out from pictures, telling me I need them! I knew I had to get my hands on some. Malani isn't readily available here in the Uk - which is such a shame because they are really affordable. So I did some research and found that ships to the Uk. And even better when you spend £20 or more its free! So this is what I picked up...

Milani Baked Blush in the shade 05 Luminoso // £6
This was first on my list after having seen so many instagram pictures of this! It is a gorgeous peachy shade with shimmers running through it. This acts as highlighter too, 2 in 1 products always do it for me. I love anything that saves me time in the morning.

Milani Baked Blush in the shade 03 Berry Amore // £6
I love purple toned blushes and anything with berry in title during autumn is a sure way to make me buy it. This is, as the shade suggest, a berry toned blush, with hints of peach tones and shimmers running through it. I'm sure this will be my go to blush this autumn!

Milani Colour Statement Moisture Matte Lipstick in the shade 69 Matte Beauty // £5
A matte warmed toned brown, of course I needed another one to add to my (very big) collection! This is a good dupe for MACs Taupe. I swatched them next to each other and they are almost identical!

Malani Multi Task Face Powder in the shade 04 Light Tan // £7.95
A setting, finishing and blotting powder in one, everything I want in a powder. It has light to medium coverage and claims to give a natural matte finish with caking. Face powders are something I'm a abit funny about, I find that most are too drying for my skin and do look cakey. So I remain sceptical about this, but who knows this could be the powder I've been looking for!

So that's everything I brought! I've used the blushes a few times and absolutely love them! Have you guys brought anything because of Instagram? Also have you tried any these Malani products? Let me know what you thought of them!

Until next time...

Chiseled Cheeks On a Budget

I'm pretty sure most of you reading this will know what contouring is, but just in case you don't  contouring is using makeup to give the face structure. Such as, the cheek bones, forehead and chin. With contouring becoming such a popular makeup method, it has become a staple in my makeup rountine. And with every makeup brand and their nan bringing out contour kits / shades I don't think you need to spend a lot of money to get a good quality contour product, so I have put together a list of my favourite products that are budget friendly!

Makeup revolution The One Blush Stick in the shade Matte Malibu // £5
This is a cream product that comes in a stick form. This is a warmish, terracotta shade. This shade is perfect for those with olive to darker skin tones. The pigmentation of this is brilliantly good! On first application this looked so scary! But it blended out so easily and left me with a subtle contoured cheek bones (win). I like to blend this out with my Real Techniques expert face brush.

Sleek Contour Kit in the shade light // £6.49
This is an oldie but a goodie! As you can tell from the picture this has been well loved. The contour shade is more cool toned so perfect for paler complexions and the highlight is a lovely champagne tone shimmer. This requires a very light hand because it so pigmented it easy to end up with ridiculous brown lines. But with a light hand and good blending you'll be left with the structured, emphasised bone structure. Another plus with the Sleek contour kits is they come in different shades to suit all skin tones.

This kit is amazing value for money! This has 6 powders perfect for contouring. 3 of which are contour shades, 3 are more highlighting and setting shades. It also includes 2 baked highlighters.
I picked this up because of how similar 6 of the shades look to the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit. I don't have the ABH one and wont be getting it anytime soon because of this! There is a cool and warmer contour shade, that would be suitable for most skin tones. And the pigmentation and blendability ticks all the boxes! I particularly like the yellow toned powder for setting concealer under the eyes.

Collection Highlight and Sculpt Contour kit // £4.99
This is my favourite contour shade to date! I've done a full review of this here, So I wont bang on about this too much. But this is just amazing. This isn't to pigmented that if you go in a bit heavy handed your buggered, but has enough pigment that you don't need to keep adding and adding to get a slight wash of colour. The highlight shade is very subtle - perfect for those who prefer a more toned down, day time look. The only downside is this doesn't come in different shades so might not be suitable for all skin tones.

Seventeen Instant Glow Cream Bronzer // £4.99
This is another well loved product! This is another cream product that's more on the warm side. This isn't too pigmented and takes a bit of building so perfect for those new to contouring or those who prefer a lighter finish. This blends out so easily and the finish is so smooth and beautiful! I like to apply this with my Real techniques Stippling brush.
