Best Beauty Discoveries Of 2015

I cant believe were coming to the end of 2015. Where did it go? Who knows, but it means I can share with you my top beauty discoveries of the year! This year has had many highs and lows in terms of beauty. I've find some real staples that will be entering 2016 and some duds that will be left at the back of my collection gathering dust! But anyway onto the gems!

Makeup:
2015 and has been the year my makeup obsession has got, some would say, uncontrollable. I've really branched out into brands and products that I would normally over looked, which has lead to many products that I love!

Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette // £15.50                                     POST

When I started thinking about writing this post this was the first product that popped into my head! This palette has been a firm favourite and I've raved about it in many previous posts! Its full of warm tones, inspired by chocolate, with a few unusual colours that you wouldn't normally find in your average nude palette. Which is why I love it! My favourite colours are Freshly toasted - a warmed toned matte brown and warm notes - a shimmery cranberry colour.

This was my go to palette through summer. There are 9 shadows inspired by amber hues. There's a
mixture of finishes from matte to shimmer, making it easy to create almost any eye looks!

Milani Baked Blushes // £6                                             POST

2015 was the year that marked my discovery of Milani baked blushes! These blushes are amazing. And will definitely be coming with me into 2016! I have the shade Berry Amore and Luminoso. My favourite is Berry Amore. Its a berry shade with shimmers running through it. Both these blushes look absolutely stunning on the cheeks and last all day!

Collection Contour Kit // £3.99                      POST

This is one of the best contour shades I've used. Its ever so slightly on the warm side, which I prefer, I find cooler shades look dirty on me. The pigmentation is perfect - not to much so its easy to go overboard and not to little. It blends brilliantly and the price is even better! I'm not fussed about the highlighter though - its okay.

Too Faced Born This Foundation //  £29                POST

This is my stand out foundation of 2015. I'm a bit of a foundation floosy, I have so many but this has been my go to since I brought it. It has a good medium coverage but its so lightweight and easy to blend. It has a slightly dewy finish which I also love! The lasting power is amazing to, it lasts all day on me without powder! This is an excellent all round foundation!

Benefit Watts up Highlighter // £24.50

This is my all time favourite highlighter. I just love the finish it gives. Its a beautiful champagne toned highlighter in a stick form. This is so creamy and blends out effortlessly. With cheaper stick form highlighters I've used in the past, they tend to move my makeup underneath, this does not do that. And leaves a lovely lit from within glow!

Essence Long Lasting Lip Liners // £1.50                              POST

These budget beauties have been my go to lip liners since Essence landed here in the UK. The formula of these is so creamy, long-lasting and easy to apply! My favourite shades are 05 Lovely Frappuccino (A warmed toned brown, perfect for nude lipsticks) and 07 Plum Cake (A purple mauve colour).

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer // £17.50

I've repurchased this countless times! This is a full coverage concealer that's lightweight and buildable. It covers any type of blemish, discolouration and any other skin concerns with ease. But I really love this for dark circles and highlighting areas of the face. I have the shade Fair Neutral which looks white in the tube but blends out beautifully! It doesn't settle into fine lines or crease and wears all day! Everything about this makes it a winner in my book!

Skin Care

I don't have to many standout skin care products. But the few I do, have really wowed me!

The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight serum in oil // £15.50

This is an overnight treatment that promises to replenish and recharge skin while you sleep! In a non-greasy and fast absorbing formula. This really does live up to all it promises! I'm left with super soft, smooth skin in the morning. This doesn't break me out and I've noticed an overly all improvement in the way my skin looks and feels!

Pixi Glow Tonic // £18                                        POST

What did I do without this stuff? Its blooming brilliant! Its a chemical exfoliator which is gentle enough to use everyday. This has reduced the redness I get from old spots, improved dehydration lines, and leaves my skin smooth. I like to apply this to a cotton pad and wipe over my face after cleansing in the morning and evening. This is instantly refreshing and leaves my skin really smooth.

Vitamin E Illuminating Moisture cream // £13

An illuminating moisturiser is just what my skin needs. It has light reflecting partials to help skin glow as well as essential hydrating ingredients. I looove this! I've been using this every morning without fail! This little pink pot is very hydrating without being too heavy for a day cream and leaves my skin silky smooth! Makeup also applies beautifully over the top. When applied this really does give a subtle glow to the skin, so this would be great for those no makeup days! A definite keeper in 2016!
Hair Care

Its rare for me to find anything that makes a massive difference on my thick, frizzy curly hair. So my hair discoveries are pretty short!

Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment // £8.49

I discovered this at the beginning of the year I think, and I haven't found anything I like more. I've raved about this on many occasions! This. Is. The. Best. Hair Mask. Ever! Yes ever! I've never used anything that makes my hair so smooth, shiny and healthy looking! This claims to help grow but I don't think it does, but its nourishing properties are second to none!

Wow I actually have quite a few products I've loved! What are yours? Be sure to leave your recommendations below!

Until Next Time...
