Recently I've picked up a few things from the drugstore that have really impressed me, so I thought I'd share them with guys.
Freedom Pro 12 Secret Rose Eye Shadow Palette // £4
I picked this up a while ago but I've only just got around to using it. This completely took me by surprise! I love Makeup Revolution shadows and didn't think anyone could do eye shadows better at such a cheap price. Well, Freedom have managed to do it! These shadows are well pigmented, soft and easy to blend with minimal fall out. This palette has 12 shadows all with rose and gold hues. It has 5 shimmery shades but the rest are matte. Making this my go to for day looks. At £4 I cant recommend this palette enough.
Essence Big Bright Eyes in the shade 01 // £2
A highlighter pencil that promises to make eyes look bigger and more awake in a creamy, blendable formula is right up my street. This reminds me of the Benefit Eye Bright pencil but less pink and a fraction of the price! I love this for eye highlighting the brow bone, and as an eye shadow base. Although it is super creamy so some might like to set this with a powder.
Bourjois City Radiance Foundation // £9.99
A new drugstore foundation launch is something I rarely ignore, so when I heard this had launched I ran to my local Boots. This is a skin Brightning Foundation that has added protection from pollution and has SPF 30. This really does brighten my dull skin. Leaving me with a subtle, radiant glow. My only issue is the staying power isn't great.
Radiance Reveal Concealer // £7.99
If you're in the market for a good, affordable, highlighting concealer, look no further. This is one of the most brightening concealers I've used from the drugstore. Not only is it super highlighting, its easy to blend and lightweight - perfect for dark circles! Although, I can imagine that this will crease on some people, so be sure to set it with a powder.
Sleek Bare Kissed Illuminator in the shade Monaco // £8.99
This was a bit of a whim purchase and I'm so glad I got this! It can be worn alone as a primer, used to highlight areas of the face or mixed with foundations. But I really love this as a primer. It gives my dull skin an instant uplift! Makes a smooth base for makeup and helps to keep my skin hydrated, without being heavy or feeling layered in products.
Maybelline Brow Drama Pomade Crayon // £5.99
I'm trying to be a bit more experimental with my brow products, I'm yet to find anything I like more than my good ol' Rimmel brow pencil. So I thought I'd try this out. And so far I'm really liking it. Its really easy to use and achieve natural, full looking brows. I have the shade Dark Blond, I could have probably gone a shade darker though. With this though I find the formula is quite wet so it can stick my eyebrows down, which I personally don't like.
So that's some recent discoveries I found from the drugstore. What have you discovered recently?
Until next time...
