The Night Out Party Edit

I'm not gonna lie I'm not the biggest fan of going out clubbing anymore. I'd much rather go out for dinner or drinks at a bar as oppose to a full blown club. But occasionally I will for birthdays and stuff like that. So, here I am with this Night Out Party Edit. This is the kind of look I would wear for bar, out for dinner or a club.

Tan:

Bondi Sands self Tanning Mousse Dark | £14.99

I wear false tan regardless of if I'm going out or not. But if I am going out its definitely an essential! This offering from Bondi Sands is great. It leaves me with deep, natural, even tan. I like to apply this the night before and wash it of in the morning to give it pently of time to develop and to get the deepest colour possible. This also lasts a good 5 days before it starts going patchy. My only issue with this is it smells strongly of coconuts. And I hate the smell of coconut!

Makeup:

Maybelline Baby Skin Primer | £7.99

For a night out I want a primer that is really going to prolong my makeup wear and This primer is perfect for that. This leaves me with a super smooth base for foundation application. This is slightly more on the silicone-y side than what I would normally go for but I love this one because it doesn't dry my skin out - like most silicone ones do.

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation | £29                                                                       POST

I like to go for a foundation that I know will last all night and stay looking good. The foundation that I rely on is this one. It gives a good medium coverage, its lightweight, easy to blend and leaves me with a slightly dewy finish. The staying power is brilliant to. Making this a perfect option for a night out.

Urban Decay Naked Concealer | £17.50                                                                        POST

This will be no surprise to regular readers. So I wont bang on to much about this concealer. But this its perfect for highlighting and concealing the under eye area. It wont crease, cake or melt.

Bourjois Radiance Revel Concealer | £7.99                                                                   POST

To really highlight areas of the face I like to use this as well as the Urban Decay one. This is so brightening and will make me look awake way past my bed time!

Bourjois Health Balance Powder | £8.99

To make sure my makeup really stays in place I like a light dusting of powder to set everything. This Bourjois one is perfect, it sets everything down, with out looking cakey or being drying!

Freedom Pro Strobe Kit | £10                                                                                                    POST

For a night or evening out I like a really dramatic contour look, so I like to go in with a cream product first and then set it with powder. This freedom palette is great. It has 3 cream contour shades and 3 highlighting shades. I'm not to fussed about the highlight shades. But the contour ones are really good! I like to take the darkest shade, apply it under my cheek bones, and around hair and jaw line. I like to blend this out with a buffing brush.

Smash Box Shape Matters Palette | £60                                                                                         POST

To set the cream products in place, I like to use a mixture of the two bronze shades from this palette. I find that the cooler shade is too cool for my skin and the warmer one just doesn't work as a contour shade but mixed together its perfect! All the shadows, contour powders and highlighters in this palette are great. All are soft, buttery and easy to blend!

The Balm Mary Lou Manizer | £17.50

This highlighter isn't for the faint hearted! This almost gives a wet look skin, but without chunks of glitter, making it perfect for occasions when you want people to know you are wearing highlighter. The formula of this is brilliant too, its so finely milled and easy to apply. I like to dust this across the tops of my cheek bones and down the centre of my nose.

Milani Baked Blush in the shade Luminoso | £6.99                                                           POST

This blush is perfect to give a subtle wash of colour. The shade is lovely peachy colour that looks beautiful on the cheeks and will go with almost any makeup look.

Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eye Shadow palette | £40                                               POST

I just love this palette. It has everything for almost any eye look. For a night out I love the shade 1987 (a stunning shimmer gold colour) blended out with Zone (a medium matte brown), punk (a burgundy) in the outer V, and for a really dramtic look I like to deepen the outer V with Blackout (a matte black). All of the shades in this palette are super pigentmented, buttery soft and easy to blend.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara | £7.99                                                            POST

Long, fluttery, volumionis eye lashes are a must for any event and this mascara is great for achieving that. This will also hold the curl all night, it doesn't smudge or flake - making it a great option!

Barry M Satin Sleek Lipstick | £4.99

I've been really enjoying glossier lips lately and with a dramatic eye look keeping lips more simple looks better in my opinion. And this lipstick is perfect for giving lips a lovely colour without being too over the top. The shade 170 Mauve, It is beautiful mauve-y purple colour. These lipsticks are also enriched in shea butter to keep lips hydrated!

Setting Spray (Not pictured)

I then set everything with a setting spray just double ensure my makeup isn't going anywhere! My current favourite is the Maybelline Super Stay setting spray, but I keep hearing bad things about it. I absolutely love it. But if you've tried it and didn't like it. I also really like the L'Oreal one. You can read about the both here.

Nails

Barry M Gelly Shine Nail Polishes in the Cream Soda | £3.99

For nails I like to go for shade that going to match my outfit. This shade from Barry M is a lovely, off white colour that will go with everything. Plus white nails look great against a tan. The Formula of these Gelly shine nail polishes is also brilliant; they're easy to apply, are super shiny and don't chip as quick as regular nail polishes.
