The Spring Beauty Edit

With Spring just around the corner, Although it doesn't actually look like it while I'm writing this, its time to make those seasonal beauty changes. Which I am very much welcoming! So today I thought I'd share with you some beauty items I'm going to start incorporating into my routine!

Skincare:

Soap and Glory Moisture Marvel | £13

As the weather warms up I'm hoping my skin will become less dry and dehydrated, so I'll want a lighter but still moisturising day cream. Soap and Glory's moisture marvel  promises to hydrate the skin for 24 hours, soothe dryness and help reduce the appearance of fine lines!  Making this perfect for spring. Its light but still hydrating enough to keep dehydration at bay!

Makeup:

Bare Mineral Complexion Rescue | £26

As the weather gets warmer, I like to switch up my base for something lighter, thats not going to cook and melt. I picked this up last year and I wasn't too sure about the first few times I used it, but its since grown on me and I love it! Its a tinted Gel cream that combines skincare benefits and coverage in one. This glides onto the skin beautifully, blends in with ease and, has a lovely radiant (but not shiny) finish. It has a light to medium, but build-able coverage. This lasts all day on me, which is brilliant considering its a BB / CC cream hydread.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer | £22

I could talk about my love for this concealer until the cows come home. This is amazing at covering blemishes, under eye circles and any other skin concearns. The formula is super creamy, easy to blend and it lasts all day without creasing, cracking or moving! Theres no way I'm leaving this in winter!

Zoeva Rose Golden Blush Palette | £13

When I first saw this I thought it was an eyeshadow trio from some reason. But, in fact its a blush palette, that houses a bronzer, hightlighter and blush. The bronzer is a very pale, milky bronzer, to be honest I'm not fussed about the bronzer. I thought it would be too pale for my skin tone but it actually works quite nicely as a very subtle contour, but I normally like something abit more intense. This would be ideal for those with pale skin tones. The Highlighter looks straight up white in the pan and when swatched, but when blended onto the skin something magical happens - it transforms into a pretty champagne / golden highlight, that looks beautiful on the cheek bones and catches the light well. The Blush is a stunning rose gold colour. This again looks stunning on the cheeks and gives me a healthy flushed look!

Zoeva Cool Spectrum Palette | £28

Dagmara from Mummys Beauty corner has inspired me to experiment with colour (her makeup looks are amazing!!) So I opted for this palette as it contains a good mix of colour along with some wearable everyday shades all inspired by cool tones. It also incudes a range of finishes - matte and shimmer finishes. I'm particulally looking forward to using the green shades. But my favourites are:

CL040 - Is a light to mid toned cool brown.
CL070 - A pinky Coral with a shimmer finish.
CL110 - A mid to dark brown with a shimmer finish. This, to me, also looks purple-y in some lights
CL120 - A brown, slightly coppery shimmer.
CL100 - A gold with a shimmer finish.
CL010 - A muted mocha colour with grey under tones.

Lips:

Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick the shade Bitch Perfect | £23

When it comes to spring / summer makeup, lips is were I struggle. I like my browns and nudes. But this lipstick is the perfect inbetween shade. Its a muted coral colour, that looks nude on me. So I get the best of both worlds. And the formula of the K.I.S.S.I.N.G line mean its super creamy and comfortable on the lips.

NYX Butter Gloss in the shade Angel Food Cake | £5

This another perfect shade for spring. Its a beautiful pink-y mauve nude. And any nudes with pink undertones lean more pink on me so this is perfect for spring. The butter glosses are just as described 'buttery', and not sticky in the slightest.

Nails

Essie Mint Candy Apple | £7.99

This is one my all time favourite nail polishes, and I've just got a brand new bottle from my kids on Mothers day for spring! The shade itself is a minty colour. I can't actually decide whether its Green or Blue. But I'm going to say its a minty green. It has a high glossy finish and Essie polishes are just the best for non chipping, I get a good 2-3 days wear before it does. Which may not sound like a lot but some polishes chip the same day of painting them on me!

Essie Virgin Snow | £7.99

Now, this polish is from there winter 2016 collection, but I'll be taking this into spring with me. The shade is a lavender colour that has an icy-ness to it. Its quite pale and creamy and looks absolutely stunning on the nails!

Other

Firmoo Sunglasses | £13.42*

Now although these aren't exactly a beauty item, I'm becoming more and more concearned about anti ageing and wrinkles, so sunglasses are a must for brighter days - To prevent squinting in the bright sunlight and causing wrinkles! This pair from Firmoo will be staple during spring summer. The lenses are mirrored blue (you cant really tell in the picture though) and have a very designer look about them. And they come with a nice sturdy case. Which is so handy, I've lost count the amount of primark sunglasses I have broke / scratched in my handbag.

What products will be you be using in spring?

Until next time...
