The Ultimate Flawless Base With Vichy

Flawless, poreless, fresh radiant looking skin is something (and I'm sure not alone) I strive to achieve daily. I've tried a lot of foundation and by a lot I mean A LOT! I have more foundations than I care to admit. So I probably didn't need another one. But its my addiction! So today I'm reviewing this offering from Vichy and the matching Dermablend setting powder.

Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation | £18 *

My sister uses this and she loves it so I was super excited to try this! This foundation promises to be full coverage in lightweight, easy to blend, hydrating formula that claims to last up to 12 hours. It has a high pigment concentration that gives up 25% more coverage than regular foundation.
Wow were my initial thoughts!

The packaging is good and practical, not a dodgy pump or pipette so that's a winner. The foundation itself was surprisingly runny. I was expecting it to be a lot thicker. There are 8 shades in the range. I went for the shade Nude - which matched me perfectly. I dotted it around my face and It was so easy to blend and melted into the skin like a dream. The coverage is indeed full - it covered all my redness. I did still need some concealer under my eyes. though. I would be amazed if anything actually managed to cover my dark circles. This isn't heavy in the slightest and looked seamless on the skin. It also is very fresh looking, which I love! My skin did look flawless! In terms of wear this is amazing! It didn't crease, move or transfer all day! My skin still looked perfect when It came to removing at 10pm! This also didn't irritate my dehydrated skin! I tend to find full coverage foundations that promise to last so long, feel tight and just horrible - this felt comfortable on my skin all day. Brilliant is the only way to some this up!!!

Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder | £15*

I've expressed my dislike for powders many times. I just find most too drying. So I was very apprehensive about trying this. It's a loose powder that is designed to be used over the top of the Vichy Foundation to reinforce its hold, and make it last even longer! It is translucent so it won't add any extra coverage. The directions say to use the included powder puff to apply the powder, wait two minutes, then dust the excess off. To be honest I found this way too drying. So I just applied a light layer with a fluffy powder brush and the results were fantastic! It wasn't drying and left me a natural matte finish. This used inconjunction with the foundation are a long wearing dream team!!!

Overall, I'm very impressed with both of these! Especially the foundation! If your in the market for a long wearing, full coverage, flawless looking base these are definitely something to check out!

Have you tried these? What are your thoughts?

Until next time...
