Everyday Makeup | The Cream Edition

With the weather here in the Uk finally brightening up, I've been loving cream products, to give me a fresh, glowing look! Plus I find cream products on their own can be a lot more subtle than powders, and cream shadows are the quickest and easiest to apply...

The Body Shop All in One Insta Blur | £14

When the weather is warmer and I'm using lots of cream products, I like to go for a primer that's going to help my makeup wear time and help hold everything in place. And this Body Shop is perfect! It's smoothing and more mattifying than illuminating primers.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation | £29.50

Like primer I like to go for one thats more on the matte side so I don't end up looking like a shiny, creamy mess. And I've been reaching for this CT offering. To be honest this foundation is ok, it has good coverage and staying powder. Its not my favourite foundation but works well with cream products.

LA Girl Pro Concealer | £5

For concealer, regarless of what base or look i'm going for I reach for my trusty LA Girl concealer in the shade yellow, to banish those hidous dark cirles and make me look alive again!

Stila Convertible | £16

The best cream blush ever! Well, that I've ever tried. The formula is perfect, not too sticky or creamy, but not too dry its difficult to apply. The Peony is a lovely Brownish Rose colour, that compliments my skin tone well.

Sleek Cream Contour Kit | £10.99

As cream drugstore formulas go this is one of the best! They're not oily, or slippery but some how easy to blend! There are 3 kits available for dark, medium and light skin tones. Each kit has 6 shades, ranging from pale highlighting shades to dark contour shades. I have the kit in the shade Medium which is perfect for me! I like to use shade  01 (the lightest) to highlight with, shade 06 (the darkest) to contour with, and, shade 3 to bronze with. See my this post for an in-depth review!

Maybelline 24H Color Tattoos | £4.99

These need no introduction, I'm sure you've all heard of this! Each shade is creamy, easy to apply and well pigmented. And boy, once these have set they aint budging! My favourite shades are:

  • On and On Bronze - Which a lovely bronze colour perfect for anytime of year or any occasion.
  • Creme de Nude  - A creamy nude with yellow under tones. I love this as an eyeshadow base
  • Metallic Pomegranate - This is a stunning Pomegranate Red with a rusty metallic sheen. Although, some might say this more of an Autumn shade, which it is, its too pretty to be hidden away all summer though!
  • Pink Gold - Is a beautiful metallic Pink that glistens Gold! This a perfect summer shade!

I normally steer clear of these sorts of highlighters as I find they disrupt my base makeup, but not this! It's a creamy gel-like formula that blends out with minimal effort and leaves behind a gorgeous champagne highlight! I like to apply the shade Polished down the bridge of my nose, cupids bow and cheek bones!

To finish the look, Seduction is perfect, a great wearable everyday nude! The formula of these though is strange, I think they're more of a gloss than matte. But the shade is really pretty and the wear time is good!

Have you tried any of these? What are your favourite cream products?

Until next time...
