A few Drugstore Discoveries

It's that time again when I show my recent discoveries from the drugstore. And shock horror there's a NYX product in there. I don't think I've done one of these posts that hasn't contained at least one thing from the brand! Theres even some American drugstore products I managed to get my hands on! So lets get into it...

NYX Makeup Setting Spray - Dewy / long-lasting |  £7

I have no idea why it has taken me so long to try this. It's so affordable. I'm really happy the drugstore have jumped on the setting spray bandwagon. I have the dewy version but there's also a matte one. Although, even though its dewy I didn't find this altered the dewy-ness of my makeup, but it definitely wasn't matte, my makeup just looked the same. But this really does makeup my makeup last all day! I've tried with most of foundation that don't have great staying power but this definitly extended the wear time. My only issue is the mist could be a lot finer. But for £7 I can't complain. Another winner from NYX!

W7 Banana Dreams | £5.41

Now this isn't technically a Uk drugstore product and I'm not quite sure its an American one? But the price point definitely is. I picked this up on a bit of a whim and I'm really surprised by how well this performs. It's a Yellow setting powder thats ideal for brightening. I really like it for setting my concealer. It stops concealer from creasing but not overly mattifying it. It's not too Yellow so it leaves a Yellow cast behind. Overall, I'm really impressed! I'd be interested to see how it compares to famous Ben Nye Banana Powder.

Maybelline Master Conceal | £10.49

This isn't available in the Uk yet and I'm not sure if we will actually get it but I managed to get it off Amazon. First up lets address the packaging. Why are concealers in these kind of tubes, I get it for hygiene reasons but I just find them really annoying. It's difficult to get the right amount. And this concealer in particular is quite runny so it makes it even harder. Packaging aside this is a great concealer. It works well on blemishes but is still light enough to be used under the eyes. I'd say the coverage is medium but buildable. I've also heard this is a dupe for MACs Pro Long Wear Concealer. I haven't tried that though, but I'm in no rush too thanks to this!

Maybelline Master Highlighter in the shade light Bronze | $19.95

Another product that's not available in the Uk, again I got this from Amazon. At first I thought this was a blush but it's actually a really nice highlighter. It's really subtle but still catches the light, It would be perfect for those who don't like an OTT glow-y look. When all the colours are swirled together it's a lovely Pinky, Peach colour! It lasts well and doesn't exaggerate any problem areas. I have no idea why this hasn't come to the Uk yet, I think it would be a firm favourite!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate Moss Lipstick 15 Year Boho Nude | £6.49

To celebrate 15 years with Kate Moss Rimmel have launched a whole new Kate Moss Lipstick collection. Not gonna lie I brought this for the packaging! The stunning Rose Gold packaging caught my eye straight away. I went for the shade Boho Nude which is a Browny, Rose nude. The formula is very similar to the other lasting perfection Kate Moss lipsticks, which I really like. They're creamy and have a satin finish and pretty good staying power.

So that's everything I've discovered from the drugstore recently. Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?

Until next time...
