The Sun Kissed Glow

There's something about tanned skin that makes me look so much more healthy, I just love the look! But judging from the weather here in the Uk getting a natural skin kissed look isn't looking hopeful. But luckily I have a few products that are perfect for faking it!

Seventeen Skin Instant Glow Skin Wow | £5.99

I've spoken about the original version of this a few times on my blog, which is a White cream (read about that here). But I picked the bronzed version for a more golden glow. I really like this as a primer, having dehydrated skin, these type of illuminators are great! They smooth over my skin and leaves behind a lovely glow, that subtley shines through makeup. This is a little too dark for my skin tone to use as a highlighter but I imagine it would be great for darker tones. It catches the light beautifully, without any glitter. It can also be mixed with foundation for a added glow!

NYX Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator | £7

This is a similar to the Seventeen Skin Wow but the consistency is slightly runnier. I have the shade Pure Gold, it's more Gold in tone than the Seventeen one. I really like this as a highlighter on the high points of the face. It applies beautifully and doesn't move my base products. It's perfect for enhancing the tanned glow!

Urban Decay Naked Skin flushed palette in Streak | £23 | POST

If I'm faking a glow I need bronzer. I like to go for a matte one then add highlighter where I want to to save looking too glowy (if there is such a thing). And this one, in this nifty palette fits the bill perfectly! Its mid warm toned Brown, thats so finely milled and applies so smoothly. It's really easy to blend out too. It lasts well and is perfect for achieving a bronzed look! If you want to read more about the blush and highlight, see this post.

Makeup Revolution Pressed Powder Bronzer | £2

A more affordable bronzer is this offering from Makeup Revolution. This is amazing considering it costs £2! Its slightly cooler in tone the Urban Decay one but still more warm on the scale. It applies smoothly, blends well and lasts pretty much all day!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in Sun dripped | £39

Highlighter is a must for me when creating a skin kissed glow-y look. I can't remember a day when I've not wore highlighter recently. And this one little kit is perfect for adding radiance. The kit comes with 4 generously sized pans, that are inspired by the sun. Bronzed is a Golden Copper tone which would be great for darker skin tones or as an eyeshadow. The Summer is the most beautiful champagne toned colour with White undertones. Moonstone is my favourite, its a beautiful Peachy, champagne toned highlighter that looks stunning on the cheekbones. And finally Tourmaline which a warm Taupe colour. For a really bronze-y glow I like to mix Moonstone and Tourmaline. All these powders are finely milled, super soft and really pigmented. If you really like a glow, definitely invest in this palette!

Becca Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop face palette | £48

This palette is perfect for creating a sun kissed glow! The blush shade Amarertto (which is quickly becoming my favourite blush) adds warmth to the face, it suites my skin tone so well. I imagine this would be a good bronzer for paler skin tones. Its a matte blush it won't be to over the top with looks of shimmery products. And theres the highlighters! Processco Pop complimented tanned skin so well! And Champagne Pop for paler skin tones. All the shades in this palette are brilliant, they last well and look stunning on! See my full review of this here.

So there's some of my favourite products for achieving a sun kissed glow! What are yours?
