August actually feels like it was really long. It was my birthday at the beginning of the month and that feels like ages ago! But today we're talking about everything I've been loving throughout the month...
MAC Fix + | £17.50 | POST
I received this for my birthday (see what else I got here) and I'm not sure how I've coped for so long without it. It's already become a staple in my routine. I don't find this actually prolongs my makeup wear. But it just makes my makeup look a million times better. I'm not quite sure why but everything just looks a bit more blended, more natural and fresher. It's great for when makeup starts looking a bit dull as well. I can't recommend this enough!
Clinique Chubby in The Nude Foundation | £21 | POST
This foundation really took me by surprise. I was expecting it to be dry, thick and cakey. But it's actually really light and creamy. It's so easy to draw on and blend, It would be perfect for travelling. The finish is really nice too - it looks so natural, without being overly matte or glow-y - it's just perfect! The coverage is medium but easily build-able.
Inglot Freedon System Palette | £8 | Shadows | £5 | POST
As another birthday present I went for a shopping trip down to Westfield in London where I made a custom Inglot palette. I went for a palette with pans and selected 5 shadows. The shades are:
383 - a matte Orange
407 - a shimmer Orange with Gold shimmers
51- A bright Orange with Silver shimmers
335 A matte, warmed toned Brown.
605 - A Shimmery Copper colour.
I love all the shades, I'm so into very warm Browns and Oranges at the moment. I'm really surprised at the high quality of the shadows considering they're only around £5 each!
Colour Pop Shadow Shock Eye Shadow | $5 | POST
I've also been loving this Colour Pop eye shadow in the shade Sunset Blvd. It's a stunning Gold-y Bronze toned shimmer. The formula is incredible. It's something like a dry mousse, it's really difficult to describe. It's really easy to apply and lasts well on the lids without creasing! I've found myself reaching for it a lot!
Colour Pop Lippie Stix | $5 | POST
I've also been enjoying a 'throw on lipstick' which comes in the form of Colour Pops Lippie Stix in the shade Brink. It's a perfect Brown-y nude colour. This is supposed to be a matte finish but I think it's more of satin. But this means it's not drying at all. It also doesn't last an overly long time. But it wears well and is easy to reapply.
Clarins Lip Oil | £18 | POST
Glossy lips are my thing at the moment (see this post for my faourite glosses) and you don't get more glossy than the Clarins Lip Oil. It has a super high glossy finish that feels so smooth like an oil. I have the shade Honey, well say shade but its clear, but it smells super yummy!
Sinful Colours Kylie Jenner Collection | £3
If you follow me on Instagram you'll already know how obsessed I am with these! For a £3 nail polish these are incredible. I have a few shades from the Matte and Gloss line. All of the them last a good week without chipping. My favourite shades are Miss chief (shine finish) which is lovely milky pale purple, its very similar to Essie Go Ginza. And Mauve On (demi matte) Which is mauve purple colour. I'm not a huge fan of matte nails but I just apply a shiny top coat which gives them a glossy finish. I highly recommend checking these out next time you're in Superdrug.
So that's everything I've been loving this month! Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?
Until next time...
