LPage Beauty Turns One! What I've Learnt in My First Year Of Blogging

So yesterday my blog turned one! Crazy, I still can't believe I've blogging for a whole year! So today I thought I'd share with you what I've learnt in my first year of Blogging!

Numbers really aren't everything...

You've probably heard this a thousand times before. And I'd be lying if i said I wasn't a little disappointed when I'd worked really hard on a post and it goes down like a lead balloon! But on the flip I'd get a few really nice comments. And that's what I really love, when somebody takes the time to tell me that they liked the post or my photography! That means way more than having 1000s of views!

The Blogging Community is lovely..

I also see tweets and stuff about how bitchy some bloggers are and how the blogging community has changed. To be honest I've never experienced any of that. Everyone that I've ever interacted with has been so lovely. And a really nice community to be a part of!

Blogging is insanely time consuming...

I take my hat of to bloggers who blog and work full time! It's so time consuming. You've got to take pictures, edit the pictures, write the actual post. But the works not finished there, then theres promoting the post across social media! Replying to comments. It all takes up a lot of time! But it's well worth it!

There's a whole other technical side...

When I first started I had no idea how technical blogging actually is. I had no clue what CEO was. I'm still not really sure but it's something to do with how high up your blog appears on Google - don't quote me on that though, I could be wrong! And code writing, I have no idea how to write code! But it's pretty handy for blog templates.

You don't need a flashy camera...

When I first started blogging I took my photos on my iphone. To be honest my pictures weren't great but I don't think they were bad. I still don't have a DSLR, I would like one but for now I'm happy with my Nikon Bridge camera. I also see amazing pictures from people who use iphones. So it really isn't overly important!

You have to give back...

Unless you have a huge following, it definitely helps to read other blogs, and leave comments. Thoughtful comments though! None of this follow for follow crap - nobody likes that! But I always try to take time to comment on blogs who have left a comment on mine. And I know other bloggers do to!

So that's a few of the main things I've learnt from blogging in the past year. I'm still learning so much and hope to learn way more!

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone that reads my blog, comments on my blog or follows me on any platform! It really does mean a lot! I'll be back on Sunday with a regular beauty post!

Until next time...

Don't forget to follow me on:
