Super Quick, Low Maintenance Summer Makeup

With the hot weather and everybody jetting off on their summer hols, I thought I'd share with you my go to quick, low maintenance summer makeup. I feel like the hot weather calls for low maintenance, nobody wants to be mopping up melted Liquid lipstick of their chin!

Boots Time Delay Flawless primer | £10.99 | POST

To help my base last that bit longer in the heat I reach for this. I would normally go for an illuminating one but they do nothing for makeup wear time. But this one is so good. It's a blurring primer, which actually blurs! Although it's not a glow-y primer it does add a bit of radiance to the skin without the dewy-ness from illuminating primers. This could also be worn alone. A great all round product.

Clinique Chubby In The Nude Foundation Stick | £23 | POST

For a super quick foundation look no further than this! You just have to draw it and blend - it takes little blending effort. It offers light to medium coverage but is easily buildable. It also looks so natural on the skin. The finishing isn't matte but not glow-y, just very natural. I found the staying power to be really good, especially with a setting spray. This will be my go to summer foundation for sure!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer | £17.50 | POST

For a longlasting concealer this is the one! It's light, creamy and easy to blend, all while offering a good coverage. It doesn't crease, move or dry out. It also works really well on spots and under the eyes. This is the perfect summer concealer.

Urban Decay Beached Bronzer | £20 | POST

In the summer I like to go for the bronzed look. Especially if i've caught the sun on my body but not my face. This bronzer is brilliant.I have the shade Bronzed.  It adds a real sun kissed look to the skin, in a super creamy formula, that applies evenly and lasts all day. I can't recommed this enough!

Becca Champagne Pop Face Palette | £48 | POST

If I'm on holiday I probably wouldn't go for a highlighted look during the day but I would at night. So this palette is perfect. Champagne Pop is the most beautiful, buttery soft highlighter. There are also stunning blush options. Amaretto (centre) is perfect for a day time or could work well as a bronzer on paler skin tones. And Rose Spritz is perfect for a night time look. While this palette is no longer available you can still get the split pans. UPDATE: This is back in stock on the Space NK website!

ColourPop Super Shock | $5 | POST

This ColourPop shadow in the shade  Sun Set BLVD,  is ideal for a quick makeup look. The shade is a Gold Copper colour. I like to pat it on with my finger and leave it there. But you could add some crease colour for a more dramatic look. It also lasts a good 8 hours on me, without creasing.

Anatasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade | £15 | POST

Brows (for me) are essential for any makeup look. And in the heat melt proof brows are a must. So I reach for this. It applies so smoothy and lasts all day on me. It doesn't smugde or budge. Granted this isn't the quickest brow product to apply but it leaves me with full, defined brows that no other product can beat.

Clarins Comfort Lip Oil | £18 | POST

A glossy finish is the easiest and most low maintenance. So this lip oil is perfect! It feels so silky on the lips. And it's so easy to throw on the go. I have the shade Honey which is clear.

NYX Butter Gloss | £5

For something with a bit more colour the NYX Butter Glosses are perfect. My current favourite shade is Creme Brulee, which is a lovely Pink nude colour. These butter glosses are amazing. They are so buttery, smooth - they're not sticky at all - and easy to apply. I can't recommed these enough!

NYX Setting Spray | £7 | POST

A setting spray is a must in the heat! This NYX one is my current favourite. It really makes my makeup last longer! I have the dewy version, but I haven't noticed it altered the finish of my makeup at all. I'd be intrigued to see how this compares to the matte one. I also like this as a freshing spitz.

So theres some of my favourite low maintenance, and quick products. What are yours?

Until next time...
