Makeup Lately

So it's time for me to share my the makeup I've been testing and using the past few weeks. I've been really making an effort to rotate my products and get the most out of my stash and I think thats reflected this month...

Estee Lauder Illuminating Perfecting Primer | £21.50 | POST

I found myself reaching for this primer a lot lately. It's not as glowy as I tend to like in primers, but it does give some subtle illumination, but it's great at smoothing everything over. It leaves my skin feeling so smooth and makes my makeup glide on.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Cushion Foundation* | £30

This is a relatively new addition I've been testing and so far I'm really enjoying it. This is a perfect autumn winter foundation for my dehydrated skin. It has a satin finish but isn't drying at all. It offers a medium but build-able coverage. The staying power is incredible, it stays pretty much flawless all day. I believe this is same original Teint formula but in a cushion form. I haven't tried the original so I'm not sure if the cushion makes a difference, but so far I'm really enjoying it. the Shade 04 is also a good match when I'm faked tanned.

Clinique Chubby in the Nude Stick foundation | £23 | POST

Before I discovered the Lancome Foundation this has been my go to. I love it! It's so easy to apply. It's creamy, easy to blend, has good light to medium coverage, with a satin finish. This glides over all imperfections, pores everything. This lasts a good 6 hours on me. I can't recommend this enough.

NYX Concealer and Contour palette | £10 | POST

For concealer I've been reaching for this nifty palette. It contains contour shades and some under eye corrector shades. I'm not too fussed by the darker ones for contouring. But the bottom two are incredible. Especially the Salmon toned one. I tend to find Salmon tones don't work as well as Yellows on my under eyes, but this ones amazing. It's very thick and has super full coverage. I like to use my finger to apply it and ensure it's thoroughly blended and it's like magic! I do have to set though or it is prone to creasing.

Seventeen Skin Wow concealer | £4.99 | POST

To highlight the under eye area the Seventeen skin wow has been my concealer of choice. For concealer that is so cheap this is brilliant, it easily rivials some high-end ones. It is super brightening and has good coverage. This doesn't crease at all. I don't even need to set this, which is fantastic. I'm huge fan of the skin wow range, I think they need a foundation next!

Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder *| £15 | POST

To set my foundation and concealer I've been using this. I forgot how amazing it is. It's a translucent powder but it doesn't leave a White cast on my face. It's not drying at all. It just sets everything down and makes it last all day. There's nothing not to love.

Seventeen Cheek Stamp Blush* | £4.99

Granted this does seem gimmicky. With the applicator being like a stamp. But the product inside is really good. The shade Blushing  is a lovely Pink colour with subtle shimmers in it. It gives a lovely healthy glow to the face. The blush itself applies smoothly and lasts well, without going patchy. To be honest I don't use the stamp like an applicator, I just use a brush. But for a £4.99 blush this is pretty good.

Inglot Freedom System | £8 (palette) £5 each (shadows) | POST

For my birthday I made this Inglot palette. And I've been been pretty much using it every day. The formula is really good; well pigmented, easy to blend and work with it. The shades I have are:

383 - a matte Orange
407 - a shimmer Orange with Gold shimmers
51- A bright Orange with Silver shimmers
335 A matte, warmed toned Brown.
605 - A Shimmery Copper colour

I can't recommend these shadows enough. I really need to get more!

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara | £17.50

Hold on to you hats guys! I have something other than my much loved Maybelline Lash Sensational! I got this deluxe, Urban Decay Mascara sample as a gift with a purchase. I've so many good things and I was excited to try it. And it's a nice mascara, it adds some length and volume, with great staying power. It has quite a large bristle brush, which is ok, but I tend a prefer a plastic wand. This isn't as  good as my trusty Lash Sensation and is significantly more expensive, so I wont be buying the full size.

Clarins Lip Perfector Oil | £19 | POST

I've been loving a glossy lip lately and you don't get more glossy than this! It's a super silky smooth gloss that feels lovely on the lips. It's a great throw on and go product. I have the shade Honey, which is clear and smells so yummy.

NYX Lip Lingeries | £6.50 | POST

My love for these liquid lipsticks shows no signs of dying! I'm still very much obsessed! The shade Riffle Trim is a gorgeous Nude Brown colour. The formula is non drying, and so long lasting. It's one of my favourite liquid lipstick formulas. Some I like to apply a gloss over it for a super long lasting glossy lip.

L'Oreal Mega Gloss | £ 6.99

I'm so amazed by this gloss. It's a kind of Gold glittery colour that looks metallic on the lips, but not too over the top, it's very wearable! I like to use this over Riffle Trim and it gives a Rose Gold, metallic colour. The formula isn't sticky or uncomfortable to wear!

So that's some of the makeup I've been reaching for lately.

Have you tried any of these?

What are your thoughts?

Until next time...
