September is definitely going to be a month I remember forever because I got married on the 24th. So throughout the month I tried lots of new makeup but stuck to what I know works for skincare, in a bid to keep my skin as clear as possible. So when I sat down to write this post I struggled to think what I've actually been loving consistently throughout the month. But Lucky I had a few products...
Becca Backlight Primer Filter | £32 | POST
I repurchased this at the beginning of the month, purely for my wedding day. And I've completely fallen back in love with it! It's just the best glow-y primer around. It adds a glow without any glitter. But it still can be seen under pretty full coverage foundation. I'm not scared of a good glow so I like to use 2 pumps, but for a more subtle look one is more than enough. It also really smooths any dry patches and leaves a perfect base for makeup!
Kat Von D Lock It Concealer | £20 | POST
No I haven't been technically loving this the whole month but I've been loving it since the day I brought it! This really works well at disguising blemishes and concealing under eye circles - which is what I love most. The shade Light Warm 7 works perfectly at brightening the area. The formula itself is light, creamy, easy to blend and long lasting without creasing.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick | £16 | POST
Lolita 11 has been the shade I can't stop wearing. It's a beautiful warm Orange nude. I'm really impressed by the formula. It dries down completely matte, without being drying or uncomfortable. See High-end discoveries for more details and swatches!
Maybelline Creamy Matte lipstick | £6.99 | POST
The Creamy Matte range has been a firm favourite of mine since it was released (see this post) But the UK only had limited shades. Recently Maybelline has released some more shades over here, one of them being Clay Crush. Which is a stunning Orange toned nude colour, I noticed I've got quite a thing for these types of shades! The formula is incredible, so creamy, comfortable and long-lasting. While, I don't find this as matte as some of the others from this line, it's still one of the best the drugstore has to offer. And the shade completely makes up for it! See the Lipstick Report for swatches.
Bondi Sand Tanning Oil | £14.99
At first I wasn't too sure if I liked this but last month I finished a bottle and moved on to a different tan, which is when I realised how much I love it and repurchased another bottle! Even though this is an oil, it absorbs instantly and doesn't feel oily on the skin. This is slightly tinted which I don't love. But the colour it gives is amazing! It gives me a deep, natural looking tan, that doesn't streak or apply patchy. The wear time is good too, I get a good 7 days before it starts wearing.
Soap & Glory Mist you Madly Body Mist | £4
I'm so funny with scents, most give me headache so I don't like spending a lot of money on perfumes unless I know they won't. So I picked this because it was cheap and smelt ok. But I have really grown to love it! I'm rubbish at describing scents but this has musky scent that's not too sweet or too masculine it just smells really nice! It also lingers for a good few hours which is impressive for something that cost less than £5. For that reason I've found myself reaching for spritz throughout the month!
So there you have a little round up of everything I've loved throughout September!
Have you tried any of these? What are you thoughts?
Until next time...
