ColourPop Haul

After seeing the lovely Sal from UmmBaby Beauty post her recently colourPop Haul on intagram, I knew I need a piece of the action. Especially with the release of their fall collection. Which has me written all over, warm burnt oranges and browns - whats not to love. So today I have wanted to show you what i got...

ColourPop Shadow Shock Zingara Quad | $18

I knew I wanted pretty much all the eye shadows from the collection so I went for the Zingara Quad. ColourPop shadows have a really unique formula. They're moussey but dry at the same. If you've tried ColourPop shadows before you'll know what I mean. The formula did take me a bit of time to get used to and find the best way to apply them. I like to use a synthetic, fluffy brush for crease shades and my finger for shades all over the lid. All the shadows really pack a punch in terms of pigmentation and blend so easily. The quad contains:

Paradox - a beautiful, cool toned Burgundy with a satin finish. I like to use this in the outer v and lower lash for definition.

Jinix - This is a really pale Gold with a pearlized finish. This is a stunning highlight shade or works well all over the lid.

Elixir - a warm toned Terracotta Brown. This is one of my favourite shades! It's a perfect crease colour.

Seeker - a warm, Red toned Brown with a matte finish. This again, works well in the crease, or outer v.

ColourPop Blush | $8

This blush stood out to me straight away. It's a warm rusty Red colour with a pearlized finish. Granted this does look scary in the pan but I've used it a few time and I really like this. You only need the tiniest amount. I found my Real Techniques Stippling brush is the best way to apply it. And I lightly dab it once in the product and I have a enough for a subtle wash of colour. The shimmer in it doesn't look too over the top on the cheeks either, it just gives a very subtle glow. The formula of this blush is the same moussey consistency of the eye shadows. It blends out really easily and lasts all day on me. I'm really impressed with this. I definitely want to try more blushes and their bronzers next.

Colour Ultra Satin Lip | $6

I think the Ultra Satin Lips are probably one of the most famous ColourPop products. So I thought I'd better try one. I went for the shade Calypso. Which is a nice dusky Pink, Mauve colour. The shade is perfect for everyday wear, although, it does lean a little more Purple on me. The formula is also really nice, I see why these get a lot of hype. They're really easy to apply and dry down to satin finish. I did notice that they do take a little longer to dry down than most liquid lipsticks, but they're not dry at all and so long lasting! I somehow accidentally managed to order two, which is a good thing because I can see this shade becoming a firm favourite.

ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip | $6

I have tried these before and I really liked. So I picked another one in the shade Love Bug. Which is described as a rich terracotta. I love these kind of shades so it was a no brainer. I haven't actually had the chance to use this properly. But it does swatch a lot darker than it looks on the website. Either way I'm excited to give it a proper try.

Overall, I'm really happy with everything I got. I can feel another order coming on soon. I'm also still really baffled at how amazing their formulas are for the price! If only their shipping was as cheap!

Side note - I did get a customs charge on this order. Which, with the price of shipping actually makes the whole process a lot more expensive. I paid the Colourpop $25 shipping and the customs charge was £14, making it around £34 just to get it to the UK.  But the ColourPop formulas are so worth it! I have heard that it's still cheaper to use the 3rd part shipping companies, which I will do next time. For more information on that see this post.

Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?

Until next time...
