Best in Beauty | January

It is just me or January just the longest month ever. But christmas feel like forever ago! January was an exciting month for me beauty wise - there were lots of new beauty lauches and I got a lot of makeup for christmas so there was a lot for me to test and play with. I have found some stand out products though...

LA Girl Pro Coverage HD Foundation | £9 | POST

This foundation is brilliant. I've been reaching for almost everyday since I got it. Its a very glow-y foundation, so I do like to set it. It also offers a good meduim coverage, in a super blendable formula that looks natural on the skin. Theres nothing not to love about! I have heard people compare this too the the Makeup Forever HD foundation, I don't think they are similar though (this one is far better) see this post for more details.

Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow palette | £39 | POST

I debating buying this for a while, but I'm so glad i did. This cute little palette houses 18 eyeshadows all insipered peach and even smells like peaches. It has a few wearable everyday shades and some for create a dramatic evening look, with a good mix of shimmers and mattes. I hadn't tried Too Faced shadows before but the formula instanly impressed me. All the shadows are well pigmented, soft and easy to work. See my full review here with Swatches here.

Urban Decay Ultimate Basics Palette | £38.50 | POST

When I haven't been reaching for the Too Faced Palette this has been my go to. This palette contains 12 matte eyeshadows. I don't actually have any all matte palettes so I was pleased to receive this as a gift for christmas. And I've been really enjoying an all matte eye look. While Urban Decay matte eyeshadows aren't my favourite formula, these shadows are really good! They are pigmented and easy to blend and long lasting on the lids. Plus the packaging is stunning.

ColourPop Highlighter | $8 | POST

This highlighter in the shade Churro has quickly become my favourite highlighter. It's a marble effect of Gold, Copper and Peach tones. It gives the check bones a lovely glow and catches the light beautifully. It has the regular ColourPop formula (a kind of dry mousse texture) which melts into the skin with ease. I like to apply it with my fingers or the Real Techniques Stippling Brush.

ColourPop Blush | $8 | POST

I really rate ColourPops blushes and one that has stolen my heart this month is Quarters. Which is a Peachy, Coral colour. The formula is similar to the eyeshadows, only slightly creamier. It blends with ease and is long lasting. It is very pigmented though so a light hand is needed. I like to lightly dap my Real Techniques Stippling Brush in it and apply.

ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip | $6 | POST

ColourPop is definitely a stand out brand for me this month. With one of their lip products being my most reached for too. In the shade Echo Park. This is a perfect Pinky, Peach everyday nude colour. The formula of the ultra satins is incredible too. It's a liquid lipstick that's easy to apply, and not drying at all! The wear time isn't as good as some liquid lipsticks but they are so comfortable I can forgive it. It also doesn't cling to any dry patches or exaggerate lines. It's just perfect.

Lee Stafford Argan Oil* | £11.99

And finally I have one hair product! I recently coloured my hair, which left it dry and lack luster but this Argan Oil has really saved it! It can be used on wet or dry hair, I like to use after I've washed it and between washes to give it shine. It leaves my hair so much softer, shiny, less frizzy and healthy looking, without weighing it down or making it feel greasy. I can't recommend it enough.

So that's the products that made it into the Best Of Beauty this month.

Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?

Until next time...
