Makeup Lately

Since christmas I've been using loads of different products and testing out new things, but when I actually sat down there were a few items that have remained constant in my routine the past few weeks. So here I am to share them with guys...

Becca Backlight Primer Filter | £32 | POST

I won't go into too much detail about this primer because I've been talking about it a lot recently! This is just the best primer for giving skin a really nice glow! It smoothes over any dry / imperfections and leaves a really nice base for makeup! Read more about it here.

L'oreal Pro Glow Infallible Foundation | £12.95 | POST

This foundation isn't available in the UK and I have no idea why. It's brilliant. It's a long wearing, dewy foundation. And my is this dewy - which I love. I do have to use it with a mattifying powder or I find I'm a bit too sweaty as the day progresses. This is very long wearing though, even when I didn't set it and it went really shiny it still lasted all day! It offers good medium coverage but it can built up to full. I have the shade 208 which I can work with although I could have probably done with a shade lighter. I got this from a trusted ebay seller linked above, new and sealed. Overall, I really like this and I've been reaching for it almost everyday!

It Cosmetics Bye Bye under eye | £23.60 (with a brush) | POST

To conceal my dark circles I've been reaching for this offering. This is one of the best dark circle concealers I've tried. It has such good full coverage. And by full coverage I mean full coverage. I find I only need a tiny drop (pin head sized)  to cover the whole of my under eye area. This is really thick though and can be difficult to blend. I find it blends out best with a damp Beauty Blender. I do like to set this to prevent creasing.

NYX NO Filter Finishing Powder | £11 |

For powder I've been really enjoying this. It's supposed to act as a filter on your face to give perfect looking skin. I'm pleasantly surprised by how well this works. It gives my skin a a nice smooth look and blurs my dehydration lines. It mattifies everything without making it too matte and helps my makeup last that extra bit longer. I don't find this dries my skin out either.

L'Oreal Infallible Blush Trio | £7.99

This is one of favourite blushers and think its so underrated! The nude Beige is a really nice warm Bronze colour. It comes with 3 shades that can be used separately to create a sculpted look, or mixed together for a wash of colour. I used to use it all together and gives my cheeks a nice glow. The formula is finely milled and has the perfect amount of pigmentation. It's not too pigmented it's difficult to work but has enough to look good.

Makeup Forever Pro Fusion Highlighter | £26.50 | POST

Since receiving this for christmas it has been my go too highlighter. The 02 Gold is a nice Gold colour. The formula is butter soft and applies beautifully. It looks so natural and seamless on the skin. It doesn't have any glitter just a gorgeous sheen to it.  I definitely recommend checking this out!

Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette | £39 | POST

This stunning palette has quickly become my current favourite for eyeshadow. It has 18 stunning shades with a good range of mattes and shimmers. Majority of the shadows are warmed toned, which I love. It has some really great every day shades in it too. See Too Faced Sweet Palette - Worth the Hype, for my full review with swatches.

LA Splash Art-ki-teck Liner | £11.25 | POST

Since my much loved Kat Von D Tattoo Liquid Liner ran out I've been loving this. It makes a great cheaper alternative. The tip is fine, which makes it easy to apply. It applies so smoothly and it's very black! I tend to find some liners look Grey. It lasts all day without smudging or flaking. It's just great!

NYX Soft Matte Lips Cream | £5.50

I've been really enjoying a more natural looking lip. So the shade Abu Dhabi has been one of my lip choices. It's a lovely Pinky, Brown nude. That works with most makeup looks. The Soft Matte cream formula is really nice too. It's really comfortable on the lips and dries down to a nice semi matte finish.

ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip | $6 | POST

Another lip shade I've been reaching for is Calypso. This is more of a Pink nude than Abu Dhabi, that looks so nice on. The Ultra Satin formula is one of my favourite liquid lipstick formulas. It's not the longest wearing but it's so comfortable and easy to work with.

So that's some of the makeup I've been reaching for lately.

Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?

Until next time...
