I wont say no to perfect looking, blurred skin. The Beauty industry has gone crazy for these soft focus / Instagram filter primers. So today I thought I'd share my favourite primers which promises to do just that. I'm not going to lie these aren't going to actually give you an Instagram filter on the face but they do help problem areas look a lot better..
Rimmel Insta Flawless Primer | £6.99 | POST
This is one of my favourite primers and the fact it's so cheap makes it even better. The name is tacky but don't let that put you off. This is a glow enhancing primer that also offers a bit of coverage. It makes my skin look more alive, awake and just all round better. It also smooths over the skin and makes it a great base for makeup. If you have good skin you could probably just get away with just this! It only comes into shades though, but I guess if you're using it as a primer this shouldn't be too much of an issue.
Boots Time Delay Primer | £10.99 | POST
This primer has more of a silcone-y texture but I don't find it drying on my dehydrated skin. It promises to blur and add a glow. This isn't the most glow-y primer I've used but it definitely gives the skin a little something extra though. The blurring properties of this are incredible - I'm amazed every time I use it. My dehydration lines are gone and my skin just instantly looks better. It also leaves my skin silky smooth and foundation applies like a dream over the top. I found this also improves my makeup wear time. This is my go primer for glow-y foundations that tend to get oily throughout the day. It is probably the closest I've come to my favourite Instagram filter!
Hylamide HA Blur | £19
Hylamide have developed a formula like no other. This blurring primer uses Hyluronic acid and powders to blur skin. Which you can really feel in the texture - it feels dry but not like silicone. It smooths over the skin and leaves it velvety soft. And instantly more smooth and plump looking. Foundation applies nicely over the top without it bunching or rolling up, leaving skin picture perfect.
Becca Backlight Primer Filter | £32 | POST
I couldn't do a post like this and not include this - it's my holy grail primer. If you have dry or dehydrated skin you need this! This gives the skin an amazing, lit from within glow. The glow isn't masked by full coverage foundations either. This makes almost all my foundations look way better. This doesn't do a lot in terms of blurring but it does smooth over dry patches and adds hydration which does make the skin look better. It is easy to go over the top with this too so just a pump or two is enough for a gorgeous glow!
The Body Shop All in One Insta Blur Primer | £14
This is an oldie but a goodie. This is a silicone primer but it has a light, comfortable texture that I don't find drying on my skin. This is great for filling in pores and leaves a smooth base for foundation. I imagine this would have some oil control for those with this problem.
Estee Lauder Illuminating primer | £21 | POST
This is a brilliant all round foundation - it blurs and hydrates. Making it perfect for dry / dehydrated skin. It has light texture that's easy to blend. It contains soft focus optic to blur the skin and it really does. It also contains Vitamin E and Shea Butter to nourish and hydrate the skin. The light texture glides over any problems areas and leaves a smooth base for makeup. I also find this extends my makeup wear time and keeps it looking flawless all day.
There's all my favourite Soft Focus, Skin perfecting primers.
