My Most Loved Makeup

In honour of Valentines day I thought I'd share my most loved makeup with guys. These are the items that if I lost or they run out of I would repurchase straight away, no second thoughts. So let's get into it...

Becca Backlight Priming filter | £32 | POST

My most loved primer is the Becca Backlight Priming Filter. It's a glow giving primer that really smoothes the skin, ready for makeup application. I like to use one pump over my whole face because this really does give an amazing dewy look to the skin. It works for all my favourite foundations and even makes the ones I don't like look a little better. I've actually already repurchased this and I will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

LA Girl Pro Coverage Foundation | £11 | POST

Since getting this at the end of last year no other foundation has compared. It has a good medium to full coverage, a brilliant glowy finish, all in a long wearing, blend-able formula. I'm running out of ways to describe this foundation but it's one of the best I've tried and well out performs its affordable price tag.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer | £22.50 | POST

This cult classic has really earned its most loved status in my collection. It's my favourite under eye concealer. The formula is creamy and blend-able and sits well under the eyes. I tend to find most concealers like this don't offer the coverage I need though, but not this! A couple of coats and I look like I've had a good nights sleep! Plus this comes in a range of shades so there's something for every skin tone.

RCMA No Colour Powder | £9.95 | POST

I discovered this at the end of last year too and I haven't looked back. This is the best setting powder I've come across. It sets everything and mattes everything down without being drying or leaving my skin looking cakey. It doesn't contain any colour pigments so it doesn't leave a White cast behind either.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette | £59 | POST

Having dehydrated skin means I'm always striving for glowy skin. So when I discovered these glow enhancing powders from Hourglass I fell in love. This trio comes with 3 powders to all add a different glow to the face, Nothing over the top just a subtle, lit from within glow. The powders are finely milled and don't even look like powders on the skin.

Makeup Revolution Radiance Palette | £8 | POST

This is my key to a good glow! These are very similar to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders (see this post) but they are more pigmented so they work better as highlighters. I like to use the Bronze shade as bronzer. It's not overly shimmery so it gives a lovely sun kissed look to the skin. I then use the centre shade as a highlighter on the high points of my face. These aren't over the top so they give skin a nice subtle glow. I actually use these everyday!

Sleek Solstice Highlighter palette | £9.99 | POST

I always seem to come back to this little palette. It houses 4 highlighters. But my favourite is the Peachy shade. I've actually hit pan on it (how does that even happen?) None of the highlighters have any glitter in them and are finely milled. They leave the face with a gorgeous dewy sheen.

Kat Von D Shade and Light Palette | £37 | POST

For contour this is my most loved palette. This palette houses 3 contour shades and 3 matte highlight shades. The middle shade is my perfect contour colour colour and the yellow highlight shade is perfect for setting under eye concealer. All the powders are butter soft and look natural on the skin. I can't recommend this palette enough.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette | £41 | POST

This was a tough choice between this and my MUG shadows but this one palette won. Most of the shades in this palette are warm tones, with the majority being matte. All the shadows are incredibly pigmented, smooth and easy to blend. It's my perfect palette.

Maybelline Lash Sensation | £7.99 | POST

I've lost count the amount of times I've repurchased this. I don't tend to be a fan of Maybelline mascaras but this one is brilliant. It has a plastic, curved wand that grabs and coats every lash. It adds a good amount of length and volume, in a formula to doesn't smudge or flake throughout the day.

Jeffree Star Valour Liquid Lipsticks | £16 | POST

I do love a liquid lipstick and my favourite are the Velour liquid lips. Particular the shade Androgy. It's a Mauvey Purple. The formula of these are one of the best I've come across. They're matte but don't look dry or a crusty. It's non drying and so long wearing!

MAC Lipstick | £15.50 | POST

I wanted to give an honourable mention to Velvet Teddy. It's from Macs Matte line. So it's super creamy and longlasting. The shade is a perfect Pinky Brown nude. It's my perfect everyday nude colour.

So that's my most loved makeup. Please check out the linked post for swatches and full reviews.

Have you tried any of these? What's your most loved makeup?

Until next time...
