I actually don't talk about haircare all that much on my blog considering it's something I'm so passionate about. I'm always trying to find the best products to tame my crazy, frizzy hair. Without specially selected products my hair is a nightmare to say the least! I'm pretty much willing to try anything on it so when these goodies from Matrix landed on my door step, I was super excited.
Matrix have just launched their Biolage RAW range. Which is slightly different to any other haircare I've come across before. Biolage RAW is a natural, environmentally friendly brand that offer professional, salon quality results. With R.A.W Standing for Real, Authentic and Wholesome. It's good for you and the environment. Even the packaging is made from recycled material. But these products don't lack results, far from it! I've been putting Biolage to the test and I'm ready to report back.
For reference I have thick, curly, dry, frizz prone hair.
Biolage R.A.W Nourish Shampoo* | £15.50
I love the packaging of the shampoo and conditioner, it reminds me of smoothy bottles! The Nourish shampoo also smells amazing! It contains Honey and Quinoa Husk to deeply nourish the hair. It's slightly runnier than most shampoos but this didn't effect the way it lathers or cleans. It left my hair feeling really clean but not dry at all. This didn't irritate my dry scalp either.
Biolage R.A.W Nourish Conditioner* | £15.50
The conditioner comes in the same smoothy style bottle and literally smells good enough to eat, it has a slightly sweet scent but still has a clean hair smell to it. The consistency is thick, rich and really luxurious to apply. This contains Coconut Oil which is well known for working wonders on dry, dull hair. This can be left on for a few extra minutes to really nourish the hair. I found it really easy to rinse off and afterwards my hair was noticeable softer. Once my hair dried it's super easy to brush and looked smooth, with less frizz. This is definitely one to check out.
Biolage R.A.W Re-hydrate Conditioner* | £24.50
Biolage have a few intense conditioners for different hair types. This is aimed at hydrating and restoring moisture levels in the hair. It does this with the use of Shea Butter and Moroccan Lava Clay. It comes in a huge 400ml tub, I don't think I'm going to be running out of this anytime soon. The conditioner itself is really thick and doesn't drip off the hair. Because it's intense it recommends to leave it on for 5 minutes and afterwards my hair was transformed! It was so soft, easier to manage and looked shiny. It didn't weigh my hair down - it's amazing! I really can't recommend this enough if you have dry or dull hair.
Biologe Re-Body Clay Mask* | £24.50
Lastly I have this Re-body mask. Which, as the name suggests, adds lift and volume to the hair. This isn't a hair mask I would typically go for because my hair is so thick it doesn't really need any extra volume. But for the purposes of review I tried it anyway. This mask actually looks like clay and has a very thick consistency. Like the Re-hydrated Mask it is left on for 5 minutes. If you have fine or flat hair you will love this. It does add volume! I didn't find this was overly drying, it's not has hydrating as I would normally go for but it didn't leave my hair frizzy or lacking shine. If you want volume in your hair this is definitely one to check out.
Overall, I'm really impressed by the Biolage R.A.W range. It's really refreshing to find a brand that is green but still delivers brilliant results. I'm intrigued by their leave in products, I'm sure they will be equally as amazing.
Have you tried this range? What are your thoughts?
Until next time...
