Bronzed glow-y and sunkissed is my go to look but there's something about summer that makes me want to up my bronze-y glow-y look that little bit more. So today I thought I'd do a little round up of my favourite products for achieving bronzed glowing cheeks.
Milani Baked Bronzer | £10.99 | REVIEW
I'm sure my Instagram followers are bored of me spamming them with Milani, but I just love them! Everything from the price to the beautiful Gold packaging is gorgeous. This bronzer is no exception. It's actually one of my favourite bronzers. The shade 05 Soleil has really warmed tones, it wouldn't be good for contouring but's not too Orange either. It has a slight Gold shimmer to it to that leaves the face with a very subtle sheen, nothing too over the top or glittery. The formula is so soft and blend-able! It's pigmented too, but not in a way it's difficult to control! It gives the face the perfect natural sun kissed glow. It comes in a range of shades to suit most skin tones.
Vincent Longo Rivera Bronzer* | £25 | REVIEW
For a matte bronzer I love this offering from vincent longo. The formula of this is incredible soft and finely milled. It melts into the skin and looks so natural. The shade sunkissed leans slightly warm but not to much, this is perfect everyday bronzer for adding a bit of warmth to the face.
Milani Baked Blush | £9.99
This isn't actually a bronzer it's a blush with a Bronze tone to it. The shade Bellissimo Bronze has a warm Orange undertone to it. It works really well layered with a bronzer for a super sunkissed look. It has slight Gold shimmers in it too, that really lift the face and make it look alive!
Golden highlighters are perfect for summer and achieving that sun kissed glow. Makeup Forever have a winning formula in the form of this highlighter in the shade 02 Gold. As the name suggests it's a true Gold colour. The formula meshes with the skin so well. It has a gel formula texture that feels like butter and glides onto the skin with ease, leaving the cheek bones with a lovely Golden sheen. This is long wearing and stays looking flawless too. There's also a Pinky shade for paler skin tones.
Milani Highlighter* | £12.99 | REVIEW
Another Golden highlighter I love is slightly more affordable than the Makeup Forever one. The shade is a Golden tone but it doesn't look as Golden on the face. The formula is so soft and pigmented. This looks so subtle on the face too, there isn't any chunkiness or glitter, it just has shimmers that catch the light perfectly!
Finally, this gorgeous palette is one stop for all my bronzing and highlighting needs. After falling in love last year with the Becca and Jaclyn Hill palette I knew I had to have this and it doesn't disappoint. The palette houses, two highlighters, a bronzer and blush. The shades are:
Rose Gold (highlighter) - this is a stunning Rose Gold toned highlighter. It doesn't contain any glitter and the formula is so soft. This looks a lot more Golden in the pan than it translates on the face. This isn't my favourite highlighter ever but it works well on my medium skin tone.
Hibiscus Blossom (blush) - this blush does look scary in the pan and reminds me a lot of Pamplemousse from the Jaclyn Hill and upon swatching them side by side they are very similar but Hibiscus Blossom has a slight Golden sheen to it. The formula is good - very soft and blends beautifully into the skin.
Beach Nectar (highlighter) - I love this highlighter! It's a Peach Golden colour that looks stunning on. This shade is perfect for my skin tone. It's so soft and blends well. Again, this doesn't have any glitter or chunkiness. It's perfect! This would also be a good shade for people who don't like Gold highlighters, it's a good middle ground between Champagne and Gold.
Malibu Soleil (bronzer) - and finally the bronzer. It's a mid toned warm Brown with a subtle Golden sheen to it. This doesn't look muddy or too Orange. This applies smoothly and blends in with utter ease! I'm obsessed with this bronzer.
This palette is the perfect summer palette. I only wish the bronzer was bigger and one of the highlighters was smaller.
So there's my picks for Bronzed Glowing cheeks!
Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?
Until next time...
