I always see lots of posts of pretty highlighters and how to achieve a flawless base. But there are rarely posts (Well not that I've seen) of some issues that many of us suffer from. Don't worry this isn't going to turn into a episode of embarrassing bodies but I have found a few products that tackle the less talked about beauty problems...
Dandruff...
I swear my whole body including my scalp is super dry! One day after washing my hair I have awful White flakes! Plus I have dark roots so it's really not a good look. I rarely see people talk about products to tackle this! I have tried a few with little luck. The most famous being Head and Shoulders which is super drying on my already dry hair so that was a no go. But I've recently discovered a little gem that has really helped significantly reduce my dandruff problem. And it's in the form of Grow Gorgeous Scalp Detox* | £28 | this pot of goodness is a weekly pre wash treatment that gives the scalp a deep cleanse and lifts away impurities. It contains Pomegranate enzymes and natural Caster Oil beads to gently exfoliate the scalp. This stuff is amazing! I was a little apprehensive that this would be drying on my hair but it isn't at all! I'm hoping with continued use this will stop my dandruff issue. I really can't recommend this enough.
Cracked Heels and Dry Feet...
With summer around the corner it's time to start thinking about footcare. This has never really been an issue until recently and I've noticed my feet are dry and itchy. So many people see feet as 'gross', I personally don't mind them. I don't love them but you know! But anyway I have a couple of products to get your feet in perfect condition for the sandal weather! One of them is the SkinTruth Callus Remover* | Which is a super powerful exfoliating cream! It softens hard skin to reveal new fresh skin. A bit like an Acid peel for your feel! After leaving this on for 10 minutes my feet felt so soft!
The SkinTruth Heel Repair Cream* | £5.99 | is perfect for maintaining soft hydrated feet. It's enriched with Aloe Vera to nourish the skin and sooth dry cracked feet. It smells fresh like pepper mint and is a really nice treatment. After just one use this left my feet super soft!
Unwanted Hair...
Any hair that's not my hair on my head or eyebrows or eyelashes is unwanted hair! I'm quite lucky as I don't think I'm very hairy but hair removal is such a pain! Until I discovered Frenesies Body* | £220 | I haven't come across anything like this before. It's basically a cream that helps prevent and stop hair growth permanently. It works by penetrating the hair follicles at the root and stoping the hair growth action. Basically for the best results, waxing is recommended. So you wax, apply the cream straight after, leave it to dry for around an hour before dressing or going to bed. Then apply the cream everyday for 4 days. Frenesies have a full guide here.
The scent of the cream itself isn't very nice and I found it quite unpleasant. But in the name of beauty I'm persevering! I think this kind of treatment is really difficult to judge if it's working or not but I have noticed this has definitely helped slow down the rate in which my hair grows back and I think the amount of hair has reduced, especially on my thighs. I'm hoping to start a 2nd course so I think i will have even better results after that!
