High End Discoveries

June was very exciting in terms of high end discoveries. I managed to get my hands on some goodies that have been on my wishlist for the longest time! So without further ado.

Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer* | £32

I've wanted this concealer forever and it's safe to say it was well worth the wait. This has quickly become my favourite concealer for covering my dark circles. It comes in a little pot and has quite a thick, creamy consistency. I only need a tiny dab to cover my horrendous dark circles. Because this is quite thick I found the best way to blend it is with a Beauty Blender. I do lightly set this as well to prevent any creasing. It's very long lasting and isn't drying under the eyes at all. It also works well on blemishes. The finish is satin and looks very natural when it's blended in. I have the shade 03 which is surprisingly pale, too pale for me but I use it under foundation so it works. This is pricey but because you only need a tiny amount it will last ages. If you struggle with dark circles I can't recommend this enough!

Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation* | £33

Next I have this foundation, which I don't think is available in the UK but I got mine from here. This foundation is formulated with minerals to condition the skin and offer a weightless, natural HD finish. The consistency is on the watery side and it blends with utter ease and really does look natural. It has a medium but build-able coverage and in a long wearing formula. This glides over dry patches and doesn't feel heavy or cakey. I really like this. But the shade 213 is far too pale for me. I've been mixing it with the Body Bronzing drops to make the right shade, which works well but I'd rather not faff around. I think the shade range in general is pretty poor for highend foundation. But if you can get a good match this is well worth checking out.

Georgio Armani Power Fabric Foundation* | £43

I was torn between this and the Luminous Silk but I decided to go for this. The Power Fabric claims to be long wearing foundation with a natural matte finish, suitable for all skin types. The coverage is good, I wouldn't say it was the most full coverage foundation I own but still on the full side. I found this easy to blend in comparison to some full coverage foundations. I do like this but like the Koh Gen Do foundation the shade is too pale.

Tom Ford Lips and Boys Lipstick* | £25

Tom Ford lipsticks are just beautiful, the packaging is incredible and the TF embossment on the lipstick itself is a really nice touch. I have this in the shade Flynn which has a satin finish. The shade itself is a Pink-y nude colour. The formula is so nice - it's so creamy and comfortable on the lips. This is one of the most long lasting satin lipsticks I own!

MAC Lipstick | £16.50

Another lipstick I've discovered in June is the this MAC one in the shade Verve. It's from the Satin Line which is super creamy and comfortable. The shade is a muted Brown, Plum colour. A shade my collection was actually lacking. This is slightly bold on me but in a way that's not too over the top for everyday wear.

Fresh Sugar Lip Balm* | £19

I'm so happy to finally have one of these in my life. This is essentially a tinted lip balm. I know it does seem pricey for what it is but I find cheaper lip balms just don't hydrate my lips, In fact some even make them drier. This offering however is really hydrating! I went for the Tulip which is slightly bolder than I was expecting, it's quite a vibrant Pink colour. But I still love this. Because it's a balm it wears well and is super easy to touch up. I will definitely be getting some other shades.

Mac Mineralise Blush | £19.50

I treated myself to a new MAC blush in the shade Ambering Rose, which is a really warm Rosey Brown with Gold shimmers in it. It's perfect for summer! The formula is so nice. It's pigmented but not difficult to control or work with. It melts into the skin and leaves a really natural flush of colour. I can see this becoming a firm favourite.

Tan-Lux Illuminating Body Drops* | £39.50

Tan Luxe is a brand I've seen whirling around a lot on social media recently so I was super excited when this landed on my door step. This is a tan serum that you mix with regular body lotion to make a customised tan. It's super handy because any one who false tans knows you can't moisturise before, so this is perfect. I found this a bit annoying doing it as I went so I mixed it up with my moisturiser in a pot before I started. You can also adjust this to how dark or light you want your tan. I have light/ medium which took around two-three applications to get the colour I like normally. after one application it had a nice subtle hint of colour, it doesn't go streaky or apply patchy and wears off really well too. As you can see I've used this all up and I love it! I only wish it came in a bigger bottle because I went through this pretty quick. I definitely want to try the dark ones next!

Tan-lux Illuminating Face Drops* | £31.50

I also have the Tan Luxe drops for the face. Most tans break me out and not a lot of tan brands I like do a matching one for the face so I was super excited to try this too. It works in the same way as the body one, only it's formulated with non pore clogging ingredients. I was a little apprehensive of how this would work with my regular, quite lengthy evening skincare but it worked fine, and left my face with a gorgeous skin kissed glow.

My high-end discoveries were pretty successful this month, I'm really happy with everything!

Have you tried any of these? What high-end discoveries have you made?

Until next time...
