Celebrity Hairstylists bringing out their own haircare ranges are popping up left right and centre. Rita Hazan is the latest to formulate a line of haircare aimed at coloured hair. With a client list of Beyonce, Katy Perry and Jennifer Lopez this range is something to get in a tiz about! I've been testing a few products and I'm ready to report back.
True Colour Shampoo* | £21
Because this range is aimed at coloured hair this shampoo is packed with hydrating ingredients and botanicals that not only hydrate the hair but deeply cleanse it and the scalp too, without comprising your colour. It's also sulphate free to keep your colour looking fresher for longer. This shampoo lathers surprisingly well considering their aren't sulphates in it, and it does leave my hair and scalp feeling super clean. It gives me that fresh feeling that you get from the salon!
True Colour Ultimate Shine Gloss* | £21
I believe glossy-ing is a salon treatment and there aren't many products on the market that offer a similar thing so I was super excited to see this. It comes in four tones for you hair colour; Brown, Blonde, Red/Auburn and Breaking Brass to tone down Orange tones, this is suitable for brunettes, blondes and sliver hair. It works by adding a colour and boosting shine to keep the colour looking fresh and the hair looking shiny. It's a foam consistency that pumps out the bottle so it's super easy to use in the shower. I have the Breaking Brass option and it has a slight Blue hue to it. This is to be used between shampooing and conditioning and left for up to 3 minutes. I really like this. It definitely helps balance out any Brassiness to my Blond ombre. And my hair doesn't look as dry when I use it.
True Colour Conditioner* | £21
The conditioner claims to be a hydrating conditioner without weighing hair down. It contains a potent cocktail of Camelia oil alongside a UV complex that protects the colour from sun damage. The consistency of the conditioner isn't as thick as I normally like, it's quite waterery but that didn't affect it's conditioning properties. I left this on for 3 minutes and my hair instantly felt softer. When I dried my hair it looked a lot healthier too.
True Colour Triple Threat Split End Remedy* | £24
I have long, thick, dry, bleached hair so split ends are a big issue. This little cream is designed to target breakage and split ends using smart Polymers. I applied a small amount to ends of wet hair and this really helped smooth my split ends! Although I did find this was only temporary and my split ends did return, it's perfect for disguising them. I'm really impressed by this.
The packaging of all these products are really good too. It's functional and looks sleek. The labels are also matte and resist the water in the shower so they look new, which I really appreciate!
Overall, I'm really impressed by what I have tried! The Ultimate Gloss and Split End Therapy have become staples in my haircare routine. If you are after a good range to keep you colour looking fresh, look no further!
