ColourPop Haul & Review

ColourPop has been on fire with their latest launches. Palettes, concealers, setting sprays and more! I fall for their Instagram marketing everytime. Just watching the girls use and swatch , alongside their cheap products, make me feel like I need them! I order direct from the ColourPop Website and they usually have free international shipping when you spend over $50 which does mean I always get a customs charge. But in my opinion it's worth it. Here's what I got...

ColourPop Yes Please Palette | $16

The internet has gone crazy for this little palette. Apparently it's a Natasha Denono dupe, but for less than half the price. The shades in the palette really stood out to me. There's a mix of really nice warm tones and pops of colour. It has a good mix of mattes and shimmers. The only thing I'd say this palette is missing is a matte Black. I think all palettes need a matte Black! But that aside the quality of these shadows is amazing given it's price point. All of the shadows are really soft, pigmented and easy to work with. Overall, a great palette!

ColourPop Fem Rosa Collection | $40

Next I have the whole Fem Rosa Collection which consists of an eyeshadow palette, a bronzer blush and highlighter palette and 3 lip products. I brought this on a bit of a whim and I'm so glad I did because I really love it! I'm not the biggest fan of the packaging if I'm honest the Red and Pinks look a bit messy but I can overlook that.

The She Eyeshadow Palette is amazing. It houses 12 eyeshadows with a mix of warm natural tones. Each shade is pigmented and blend-able. I've been reaching for this almost everyday.

Her palette houses a bronzer blush and highlighter. I find the bronzer works really for contouring on me. It's slightly warm toned but not too warm and not too cool it looks muddy. It applies and blends really well. The highlighter is a true Gold colour. This is too Gold for my skin tone but I think this would work really well on darker ones. The blush is a really nice matte Rosey Pink with Mauve undertones. I really like the blush, it's perfect for everyday wear. It is so pigmented so a light hand is definitely needed.

Lastly the lip products which are:

Contessa - Which is a shimmery Bronze gloss. I think this is a kind of lip topper. I haven't used this yet but I'm a huge fan of ColourPop's ultra glossy lip formula.

Mrs - which is an ultra satin lip. The shade itself is a muted Coral, Orange colour. But it's not overly bright. I really like this and the ultra satin lip formula is amazing. It's non drying, wears really well and is super pigmented.

Darling - Another Ultra Satin Lip but this a stunning, deep Plum shade. I love this shade, this will be a go to shade in the Autumn.

ColourPop Amethyst collection | $18

I actually brought this by accident because I was trying to checkout quickly before it went out of stock, i wanted the hydrating range. This collection consists of a primer spray, a lip balm and a liquid highlighter:

Amethyst Primer Spray - I think these are aimed at oily skins. It contains actual Amethyst Crystal and antioxidents to give the skin a instant uplift as well as honey to control oils. I don't have oily skin so I'm not sure if this actually helps, I didn't find this dried my skin out though. I didn't notice this doing anything better than regular primers but I feel like that about all primer waters. I do like this as a setting spray though.

Amethyst Liquid Highlighter - I'm really into liquid highlighters at the moment so I was excited to try this. But I don't really like the shade. It has a Purple reflex to it which isn't the typical highlighter I go for. The formula of this is kind of thick too. But this does work well as a primer. I think the Purple tone really brightens up my skin tone. Foundation also applies really well over the top.

Amethyst Crystal Balm - this is a hydrating balm that can be used alone or as a lip topper. Like the highlighter this has a Purple shimmer to it that I don't like so I haven't used it yet.

Overall, I'm really happy with what brought - I highly recommend the Fem Rosa Collection! I was a little disappointed with the Amethyst collection. I still want to check the other setting sprays at some point though.

Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?

Until Next time...
