I seem to have accumulated a lot of high-end discoveries this month! And many that have been on my wish list for the longest time! So let's get straight into this...
Image Skincare Vital C Cleanser* | £28
This cleanser is so nice. It has a rich, creamy consistency that feels so nourishing on the skin. It contains vitamon c so it's perfect for brightening. My skin feels so soft and smooth after using this. The directions do say this can be used to remove makeup but I prefer it as a second cleanse just because I feel like the ingredients are more fitting for a second cleanse. But overall, I love this cleanser!
IS Clinical Cleanser* | £14.99
Another cleanser I've been loving is this one from IS Clinical. This has a light gel consistency that thoroughly cleanses the skin but doesn't leave it feeling stripped. I read somewhere that it's because it has a low PH, and the importance of using a cleanser with a low PH and I think I've definitely seen a difference in my skin since using this. It seems less dehydrated and I just can't put my finger on it but it seems happier! This is suitable for all skin types and contains powder antioxidants and gentle exfoliating ingredients to deeply clean the skin without stripping it! After trying this I'm definitely going to do some research into low PH cleansers so keep your eyes peeled for that.
Cloud 9 Overnight Nourishing Mask* | £38
I'm huge fan of overnight moisturising masks and this one is no exception. Pack full of ingredients to hydrate, plump and restore this leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth! My dehydration lines look better when I use it and works well in conjunction with the rest of my evening skincare. Definitely one to check out.
PIXI Makeup Fixing Mist* | £16
I've been testing loads of setting sprays and face mists recently and this one has really stood out to me! It's makeup setting spray rather than a facial mist. I found this sets my makeup really well and definitely helps extend its wear time. The mist is super fine and doesn't disrupt makeup at all. My only gripe is the scent, it doesn't smell overly nice but this doesn't last long on the skin. And considering this is an amazing setting spray I can forgive it.
Laura Geller Quench and Tint* | £22
Now this sounds right up my street. It's basically a super hydrating foundation, that feels weightless on the skin, which it really does! The coverage is light but build-able. gives skin a subtle glow and leaves looking really fresh but it looks so natural! The consistency makes this super easy to blend too. I also found this stayed put all day. This is a 'your skin but better' kind of foundation!
Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow Foundation | £32
I've wanted it for ages. And I'm happy to report I love this! This is a light boosting foundation that surprisingly has good coverage! I'd say it was medium, but it can built up on any problem areas. The finish is incredible, it gives a real dewy glow. It's so easy to blend and looks seamless on the skin. I have the shade 6, I could have done with a shade darker but it's nothing a bit of bronzer doesn't sort out.
Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminators* | £21
I finally got my hands on a couple of the greatly loved Laura Geller Illuminators and I can confirm these do live up to the hype! The formula is so soft and smooth. I have Two shades, Ballerina and Peach Glow. Ballerina is a subtle Rose Gold colour. This isn't too Pink nor too Gold, it's actually the nicest Rose Gold highlighter I've come across. Peach Glow is a gorgeous warm Peach colour. Peach toned highlighters are my favourite types, I find they work so well on my skin tone. Both of these highlighters aren't chunky or glittery. They just leave the skin with a such a pretty sheen. These aren't over the top or blinding either. I really can't recommend these enough.
Laura Geller Iconic New Your Collection Downtown Cool Eyeshadows* | £27.50
Next from Laura Geller I have this stunning eyeshadow palette! The sleek Black packaging houses 12 high pigment shadows, that range from cool to warm shades. They can also be used wet or dry. The shades are:
Cloud Nice - A shimmery Bisque. This shade is so buttery soft and pigmented.
Heather - Is a dusky, matte Grey shade that has Purple undertones. This is prefect for smoking out the over all shadow look.
Shimmering Toast - this is a beautiful shimmery, Taupe colour. Although it looks slightly more Pink to swatch than in the pan. This works well all over the lid or as a highlight.
Electric Plum - Is a shimmery Purple. It's actually quite a bold colour but it works well all over the lid and offers something quite unique to the palette.
Sahara - This a matte, Taupey Brown colour. It makes an excellent transition shade and is so soft and pigmented.
Brick - is a warm toned, matte Red. Possibly my favourite shade of the whole palette! I love warm tones like this. It's so soft and easy to blend.
Glided Bronze - a beautiful shimmery Gold. Perfect for all over the lid.
Navy - As the name suggests this is a Navy Blue colour, with a matte finish. This is so pigmented! And although it's probably not the most wearable shade I love it.
Cream - this is a matte off White. It makes a good highlight shade or eyeshadow base.
Nutmeg - which is a mid toned, warm matte Brown. One of my favourite crease shades! It's pigmented, cream and easy to blend.
Goddess -Is a stunning shimmery Bronze colour. It looks beautiful all over the lid! And really pack a punch in terms of pigmentation.
Gotham - and lastly we have Gotham which is a dark, matte Grey! It works well in the outer V or along the upper lash line.
Overall, I really like this palette. I love that there's a mix of everyday shades, a few different shades that you don't normally see in most palettes. All the shades are pigmented and work well really well. There's not one dud. I found this lasted all day on me without any problems.
MAC Prep n Primer Essential Oils Primer Stick | £21.50
I'm so into primer oils at the moment so I was super intrigued when I see this primer oil stick. It's essentially a super hydrating oil in a balm form. Which is so much easier to apply than a regular oil. This really soothes and plumps out my dry skin, leaving a super smooth hydrated base for makeup. Makeup applies beautifully over the top. And I found my makeup stayed looking fresh all day. If you have dry or dehydrated skin I really can't recommend this enough.
Eye Horus Brow Gel* | £19
Eye Horus Eye Pencils are my all time favourite so I was super excited when this landed on my desk. It's a brow thickening gel, that contains tiny fibres to give them a full appearance. It's also tinted so it gives them a hint of colour. It's actually one of the best brow gels I've come across! It really does everything it claims. The formula doesn't leave my brows feeling crispy or sticky either. The brush is so small it combs and grabs every little hair too. It's available in 3 shades. I have the shade Dynasty which is a good match for my medium brown hair. It's really amazing.
Too Faced Leopard Bronzer* | £25
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how stunning this bronzer is? It doesn't only look pretty but it performs amazingly on the face too. It's a bronzer that incorporates the different shades to create a beautiful sun kissed glow. It has a hint of shimmer in it that makes the face look alive and healthy. The Pink shades in it also makes the bronzer look really natural on the face. It's very warm toned, which I love. It's super pigmented but still easy to work and lasts all day on me too.
Pixi Nourishing Lip Balm* | £14
This lip balm is simply amazing! It's rich and nourishing and really soothes my dry lips. It has a sheen to it but it feels like butter on the lips. The tip is also a lip exfoliator to remove any flakes which I really too. Overall, this is a really good lip balm.
Pur Velvet Liquid Lipstick* | £16
I can't believe I've not actually tried anything from Pur before! But I've been testing these liquid lipsticks and I love it. The Ever After is a really pretty Pinky Plum colour. On me it's actually quite a bold lip. The kind of shade that would be perfect for Autumn. The formula is really nice. It dries down completely matte and feels really comfortable on. It also re applies really well without drying out.
They're all my discoveries! High five if you made it to the end.
Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?
Until next time...
