Maintaining Your Summer Glow | Skincare, Makeup & Bodycare

As much as I love Autumn I'm not prepared to give up my summer glow. And I'm not just talking tan (I rarely tan anyway) but there's just something about summer that gives you a glow. Well, it does for me! I've curated some of my favourite skincare, bodycare and makeup that will leave you glowing all year found.

Skincare

The Ordinary AHA Peeling Solution | £6.30 | REVIEW

Regular readers are probably bored of hearing about this. But this is easily my favourite product to achieve a good glow. It uses AHAs to gently lift away dead skin cells which reveal new, fresh, glowing skin. I don't find this too harsh either. It does slightly tingle but not in a bad, uncomfortable way. After 10 minutes on the face my skin really looks amazing!

Sukin Sensitive Facial Moisturiser | £7.95 | REVIEW

With the weather getting cold, skin can become dryer which does nothing for my glow factor so a good moisturiser is key for maintaining a glow. My current favourite is this one from Sukin which is super hydrating. It leaves my skin so soft too. My skin stays hydrated all day when I use it and it makes an excellent base for makeup. Plus it's super affordable.

Teoxane Radiant Overnight Peel AHA* | £40 | REVIEW

A good overnight treatment is another great way to inject a bit of glow. I reach for this offering when my skins looking a bit dull and lack luster. It contains AHAs to gently exfoliate skin while you sleep. In the morning my skin instantly looks fresh and radiant. I tend to find most overnight AHA treatments too harsh for my skin but this one is so gentle but still offers amazing results.

Makeup

The Ordinary Silicone Primer | £3.90

Please don't let the name of this put you off! This isn't like classic silicone primers, I actually find this really hydrating while blurring and smoothing my skin. It doesn't do much in terms of adding a glow to my skin but in the cooler months I tend to go for something that gives more of a satin base than super dewy.

LA Girl HD Foundation | £11 | REVIEW

This is the foundation I reach for must days regardless of the season becuase in summers it's amazing! It has brilliant coverage, a really nice light weight formula and gives me the most amazing glow! There is also a pretty big shade range available.

Iconic Illuminating Drops* | £32 | REVIEW

To fake the glow some more look no further than these drops. They can be used as a primer, mixed with foundation for a dewy base or as highlighter on the high points of the face. I personally use this as a highlighter. They give a brilliant dewy sheen, without any glitter or chunkiness but it still somehow looks so natural! I apply a really small drop and blend it in with my Real Techniques stippling brush.

Charlotte Tilbury AirBrush Powder | £33 | REVIEW

I really struggle with powders, I tend to find most don't sit well on my dehydrated skin and do nothing for my glow factor. But this Charlotte Tilbury option is perfect. It sets my makeup and ensures it lasts all day without masking my glow. It keeps oils at bay too. I don't find this looks cakey or powdery on my skin, it blurs all my floors and fine lines. I just love it!

BodyCare

Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Scrub* | £8

I know most people don't like scrubs because it removes a natural tan but to ensure the skin doesn't look patchy or flakey it's important to keep skin looking healthy. My current favourite is this one from Soap and Glory. It does the job well without being overly scratchy. It removes all my dead and dry skin and leaves it looking and feeling hydrated and so soft!

Nuxe Prodigieuse Oil* | £18.95 | REVIEW

Keeping skin hydrated is another way to make sure my skin looks healthy. This one from Nuxe leaves my looking and feeling amazing! The oil itself is so light weight and absorbs really quickly while still giving an intense hit of hydration! Plus this smells amazing!

BPefect 10 Second Tan* | £24.99

Finally nothing tends to a summer glow like a faux tan. I've tired a lot of fake tans in my time but I have to say this is one of my favourites! It comes in spray bottle so it's super easy to apply. It's also slightly tinted so it gives you an instant glow. I find the best way to apply is with a mitt, this makes sure it is truly seamless and streak free. I have the dark option with is super dark. The colour is really nice, it's not too Orange and looks really natural. What I love most about this is how quickly it dries. Literally after 5 minutes after applying the skin is touchable!

So there are my pick for keeping a summer glow all year!

Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?

Until next time...
