I was looking through my skincare stash when it suddenly dawned on me how many products I actually have from The Ordinary! I think I must have 90% of their products! I noticed they've also launched a new line of Anti Oxidents that I'm eyeing up. Anyway, I'm sure most of you would have heard of the brand. They're changing the skincare world by offering cost effective ingredients, with a no BS approach. They're products are what they are, there's no fancy packaging nor blurbs that promise the earth. So into today's post I've put together my Ultimate 6 things that I whole heartedly recommend...
The Ordinary Peeling Solution | £6.30 | REVIEW
I've talked about this so many times but it really is the best product from The Ordinary I've tried (so far) I would even go as far as to say this is one of the best AHA products I've ever tried and I've tried a lot. This is basically a bright Red solution that contains AHA and BHA to gently exfoliate the skin, lifting away dead skin cells to reveal newer, brighter, younger looking skin. AHA and BHAs are also well known for their ability to fight spots and clogged pores. I leave this on for 10 minutes. It does tingle slightly and results are really incredible! My skin is so soft and smooth. It leaves it with an amazing glow and it just looks all round better! If you buy one thing from The Ordinary make it this!
The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors | £4.90 | REVIEW
Another product that I've sang the praises of is this moisturiser. I'm actually on the 3rd bottle. It contains ingredients that are naturally found in the skin to hydrate it. The texture is a little strange, it feels bitty, but it melts into the skin like a dream. Soothing any dryness and leaving the skin hydrated and plump. This far out performs some creams that are quadruple the price!
The Ordianry Salicylic acid | £3.90 | REVIEW
Salyistic Acid is another chemical exfoliator which can penetrate the pores deeper making it the perfect spot treatment. I like to dab a small amount on any blemishes as a last step in my evening skincare routine and in the morning the spot looks significantly reduced. I don't use this everyday, only when I have any spots but this definitely a winner from the Ordinary.
The Ordinary Niacinamide | £5
Niacinamide or Vitamin B3 is powerful ingredient for fighting blemishes and congestion. I really like this, I think it really has helped the overall appearance of my skin! I've been using it for quite a while and think it has improved the texture and the amount of blackheads around my nose! I've heard this is amazing for reducing pore size too, although that's not an issue I really have so I can't comment on that.
The Ordinary Colours | £5.90 | REVIEW
The brand recently added two foundations to the line, a coverage option and a serum one. The world went crazy for these, there was a huge waiting list, they run out of pumps, it was very dramatic! But anyone who got these foundations say they are well good. The coverage one offers a high pigment formula in a creamy, blend-able formula. The serum one has a lighter coverage and more natural finish on the skin. I actually prefer the coverage one. But both are really nice. Each one comes in a whopping 21 shades, which is amazing given their price point. I don't think they are the best foundations in the world but for the price and shade range you can't really go wrong!
So there are my ultimate 6 recommendations from The Ordinary.
Have you tried any of these? What are your favourites from the brand?
Until next time...
