Playa | The Brand You Should Know About

Haircare is one of my biggest beauty passions, I love testing hair products and you pretty much get instant results. So when these products from Playa landed on my doorstep, needless to say I was excited.

Playa isn't like brands I've come across before. I get a real calming, relaxing vibe from their products. Which are formulated with natural ingredients and only use minimal clinical ingredients for stabilisation purposes. This brand isn't available in the UK yet but you can use a forwarding service, I recommend My Mall Box (see this post for more details) but I heard it's coming to the UK very soon. On to the products...

Playa Ritual Hair Oil* | $38

Having long, thick, dry curly hair, oils are essential in taming my locks. I've tried so many and most rarely make a long lasting, good impression. But this one is amazing. I've used over half of it! It's formulated without silicones, instead it uses natural oils that penetrate the hair. It's very hydrating and smoothing without being heavy or weighing my hair down. It has a pipette style dropper which doesn't actually pick up a lot of product but I guess that stops you from going over board with it. I apply a few drops on wet hair before styling to tame my frizz, add shine and make my hair easier to manage. I also use it on dry hair to smooth over split ends and tame fly aways. Overall, I really love this oil!

Playa Endless Summer Spray* | $28

This is a texturising spray that enhances waves and texture. I really like this. It doesn't leave my hair crispy, stiff or sticky. It gives my waves more definition and creates that perfectly undone look. It also contains UVA protection to prevent the sun damaging the hair and scalp. Throughout the summer I've even been using it on my children's scalp to protect it from the sun. And it stops me having to wash their hair because it's weightless!

Playa Dry Shampoo* | $26

I'm not the biggest fan of dry shampoo sprays in general, I just don't like the feeling of them in the hair, plus I'm yet to find one that doesn't leave my hair with a white cast. But I was pleasantly surprised by this. It doesn't leave my hair with that horrible chalky texture, but it absorbs oils well and leaves my hair looking clean. It would be great for creating volume too. If you love dry shampoo, this is definitely one to check out.

Overall, I'm really happy with everything I've tried from the brand and i definitely want to try more! If you are after natural, effective haircare that works, look no further!

Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?

Until next time....
