Autumn Eyes, Lips and Cheeks

Autumn is well and truely upon us! And I'm not sad to say good bye to summer. I just love everything about Autumn. The makeup especially. So today I'm here to share my Autumn eye, lip and cheek picks..

Eyes..

Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette | £39.50 | REVIEW

This palette was a summer launch and I have used it all the way through summer but all the warm, rich tones just scream autumn too! This has to be one of my favourite palettes. It contains mostly matte shades with a few shimmers. All the matte shades are extremely pigmented and soft! It's perfect for creating a subtle every day autumnal look or something more bold for evening time.

Zoeva Matte Palette | £18

Zoeva shadows are one of my favourite formulas. I own quite a few of their palettes and the formula is consistent throughout. I'd say the formula is up there with Urban Decay. This matte palette is the latest edition to my collection and I've wanted it for ages and I don't know why it took me so long to get! As the name suggests all the shades in this are matte. Which I personally prefer on an everyday basis. Most of the shades are warmed with a few neutral shades. The formula of the shadows themselves are incredible, they're so soft and blend-able! This will definitely be one of my favourite autumnal palettes.

Touch In Sol Metalist Liquid Foil & Glitter Duo* | £20

For times I'm in a rush or wanting a super speedy wash of colour this Touch in Sol eye shadow in the shade Eldora is perfect. It's a cream eyeshadow duo. On one end it has a really nice metallic Bronze colour and they other end is a highly pigmented Gold glitter that can be pressed over the top of the shimmer side for a super metallic, foiled effect! Each has a doe foot style applicator which makes them both super easy to apply. The shimmer end blends out really easily with a finger swipe. Once this sets it doesn't move all day. It doesn't crease or smudge! It's fab! I know this won't just be an autumn essential!

Cheeks...

Too Faced Love Flush Blush | £25 | REVIEW

The shade Baby Love isn't overly autumnal it's just a really nice Mauve, Rose colour. But it gives the cheeks a really nice wash of colour, that looks so natural. Plus it pairs with most makeup looks perfectly! The formula is so soft and doesn't look powdery at all. It wears well too!

MAC Blush | £19.50

You can't beat a good MAC blush! The Ambering Rose is a beautiful warm Rosy Brown with subtle Gold shimmers in it! It's perfect for autumn. The formula is pigmented but not too pigmented it's difficult to work with. It blends out really well and lasts all day.

ColourPop Super Shock Blush | $8 | REVIEW

I can not get enough of cream formulas at the moment, I know they tend to be more of a summer thing but having dehydrated skin means they are ideal for the cooler weather. The ColourPop shade   in particular couldn't be more autumn if it tried! It's a warm rusty, Red colour that does look scary in the pot but it's doesn't translate as strong on the face. I like to apply it with the Real Techniques Stippling brush.

Lips...

As much as I love Berry tones, 9 times out of 10 I can't manage the up keep. So I like to go for something in between. Angroseny is the perfect in between shade, it's definitely more than a nude but not quite as bold as a Berry tone! The shade is a muted Purple Berry shade. I really rate the formula of these liquid lipsticks, they're not drying at all but the staying power is incredible.

In the autumn I still really appreciate a nude lip and I love Echo Park from ColourPop. The shade itself is a Peach Pink nude colour. Perfect for everyday wear, regardless of the season. I really can't recommend the Ultra Satin lip formula enough. It's essentially a liquid lipstick with more of a satin finish than a matte one. But they're not drying at all and wear for around 4-5 hours before the colour starts to break down.

For me, as the weather turns cooler a lip balm is essential. My lips get so dry and wearing a matte lipstick just doesn't appeal. For those times the Fresh Lip treatment is my best friend. It's a super nourishing balm, that instantly soothes my dry lips. I have the shade Tulip which is quite a bold Pink colour. It's surprisingly pigmented given it's balm formula.

Like a balm I like to wear a gloss despite the season too. You can't beat the throw on and go option that comes with glosses. My favourite formula is the Butter Glosses. They're so glossy and buttery, without being sticky at all. My favourite shade is Madelene which is a pale nude colour with a hint of Pink.

For a subtle nod to the Berry tones, without the maintenance the Urban Decay Vice lipstick in the shade Backstab is ideal. It's a sheer Plumb colour with a cream finish. So it's very low maintenance and not drying. The pigmentation can be built up to something more bold too!

So they are my Autumnal Eye, Lip and cheek picks.

Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?

Until next time...
