Noteworthy Newness from Complexions

This post was sponsored by Complexions. However, all opinions are my own.

Miss G Couture the online fashion brand, home of the Bandage Dress and power house of fashion for girls that don't do casual have brought out a collection of makeup! From a killer highlighter to a flawless contour they have everything you need. I've been testing a few of the staple pieces...

Creme Contour Kit* | £15

This cream contour kit houses 6 versatile matte shades to create a sculpted and highlighted look. The shades aren't named so I've numbered them.

1- this is a pale, Pink toned nude that's great for highlighting. It's really creamy, and blends into the skin well. It works well under the eyes and doesn't crease.

2- is paler than shade 1 but has more of a Yellow under tone. This is ideal for my skintone. It has the same brilliant formula as the first shade.

3- Is a mid toned warm nude. This is too dark for highlighter on me but I imagine it works well on darker skin tones. It also works well mixed with the other shades to create a shade of your preference.

4 - is a creamy mid-toned Brown that has a warm undertone. On me this is too light to contour with and too dark for concealer. I think it would make a nice bronzer on paler complexions.

5- This is another contour shade with a warm under tone that works as a nice bronzer on me.

6 - The final shade is the darkest of the all but still has quite a warm undertone. For me this shade works well, I find shades that are too cool look dirty and muddy on me. But this shade gives me that perfect contoured look. I don't think this would work for everyone though.

I really like this palette, the creams perform really well and last all day on me.

Natural Glow Highlighter Kit* | £15

Next I have this stunning highlighter palette. It houses 6 highlighters in a range of shades. Again, these don't have shade names so I've numbered them to make reviewing them easier.

1 - This is a cool White icy shade. This would be perfect for very pale skin tones who struggle with highlighters. it is so pigmented! It's not glittery at all either.

2- is a kind of pale, icy Lilac colour. Again, this is very pigmented. To be honest this isn't a shade I would get much wear out of just because the shade isn't a wearable everyday shade. But if you want something different from your highlighter this is a great shade.

3- Shade 3 is a gorgeous Peachy Gold colour. This is my favourite shade in the palette! I find these kind of shades work so well on my skin tone. It's really pigmented, and not chunky or glittery at all.

4- is a classic Champagne colour. It's a classic highlight shade that would suit most skintones. The formula is so good too, it's really soft and not a hint of glitter,

5- is a classic Gold highlighter; A stunning shade. The colour payoff is excellent and gives the high points of the face a lovely sheen.

6- is a Bronze colour. This would suit darker skins so well. It's super shimmery and not glittery at all.

Overall, I'm impressed by this palette. All the shades are so soft and pigmented. This isn't for the faint hearted, but if you love an intense highlighter this palette is definitely worth checking out.

Bronzed & Glow Duo Palette* | £10

I was so excited to see this Duo, it reminds me a lot of the ColourPop ones. Inside is a bronzer and two highlighters. The bronzer is really warm toned but to not in a horrible Orange way. It just gives the face a lovely sun-kissed look. It is matte and finely milled so applies and blends with ease. One side is a Pink toned highlighter that has a really nice sheen to it and the other side is more of a bronzy shade. These can be used alone or mixed together to enhance that sun-kissed glow! I've found myself reaching for this everyday.

Dual Ended Pro Contour Brush * | £7

The collection also includes a range of brushes. I have this double ended one that works brilliantly with the cream contour kit. One side has quite a dense, slighted end that fits into the hollows of the cheeks really well, and blends out cream products like a dream. The other end is more fluffy and works better with powder products. I really like it for applying highlighter. Neither end has shed and they've kept their shape so far.

From what I have tried so far I'm really impressed with the brand! All the products have performed brilliantly. If you're after on trend, yet affordable makeup products definitely check Complexions at Miss G Couture out.
