Last week we had the affordable discoveries I'd made now it's time for the high-end ones throughout October. Without Further ado.
Touch In Top Coat* | £22.50
In the grand scheme of beauty products I think Touch in Sol is actually quite affordable but most of their products are over £15 so I've decided to include this in here. This base product is such an interesting concept - it's a 3 in 1 foundation that's a primer, bb cream and powder in one. I do still use a primer though, just because I find this gives a super flawless finish. The consistency of this is very watery, meaning it's really easy to blend but this still offers a good medium to full coverage. It does have a natural satin finish that can be made more dewy or more matte depending on preference. The wear time is amazing, it stays looking flawless on me on all day without turning oily or drying out! Overall, this is such a good everyday base!
Proto-col Intense Hydration Night Cream* | £29.50 (currently on offer for £19.00 here)
I've recently discovered the brand Proto-col which is well known in France. The brand offers collagen rich, effective anti ageing products. I've been testing this night cream and I love it! It's packed with hydrating ingredients, to plump, nourish and sooth the skin over night. Which this really does. It is quite a thick cream but it feels lovely on my dehydrated skin. It reminds me more of a treatment than an moisturiser because the results are so good. In the morning my skin is so soft, smooth and definitely looks more plump. I really can't recommend this enough.
Touch In Sol Mascara* | £18
Apparently this is Sephoras number One selling mascara and I can really see why! This mascara has a really small wand that catches every single lash. It gives amazing length. And the formula is really good - it removes easily but stays put on the lashes all day. It gives such a lovely natural look to the lashes. I love it!
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick* | £15.50
I recently went to a Debenhams event and this was in the goodie bag. I'm already a huge fan of Kat Von D's formula. It's not the most long lasting liquid I've ever used (it still lasts a good 4 hours) but by far one of the most comfortable! They aren't drying in the slightest. The shade Ophelia is the newesr shade in my collection and I love it. It's a really nice creamy, pale nude.
LJH Vita Ampoule* | £28
Ampoules are literally changing my skincare routine for the better! They're essentially super charged serums that have a high concentrate of active ingredients, so they really pack a punch. I've been testing this one which is aimed at nourishing and enhancing the skin glow. It's is very silky oil and isn't sticky on the skin. I like to use straight after cleansing and toning. My skin is definitely looking brighter since I've been using this. It can also be used mixed with foundation to give a super dewy finish.
Urban Decay Vice Lipstick* | £15.50
I'm a huge fan of the Urban Decay Vice lipsticks, especially the Comfort Matte line so I was very excited to try this shade, Backstab, which has a cream finish so it has a sheen. The shade is lovely - it's a Plum colour. The pigmentation is slightly on the sheer side, which I actually don't mind, it makes the shade a lot more wearable. The formula is really creamy and glides onto the lips without pulling or tugging. Considering this is a cream finish it actually wears really well, not as long as a matte one but I still got a good 3 hours before I needed to reapply. it's pretty for Autumn, Winter.
Urban Decay Vice Special Effects* | £!5.50
I've also discovered these Urban Decay Special Effects top coats, which can be used as lip topers. They came in a range of finishes to create a customised lip colour. I have the shade 3rd Degree, which is a lovely Gold colour with a metallic finish. It works really well over lipsticks and liquid lipsticks. This isn't the most wearable lip shade so I've been using as a eyeliner. It has a really fine tip so it makes liner application really easy. I've been using over black liner for a little sparkle.
Overall, this was a successful month for High-end discoveries.
Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?
Until next time....
