Textured skin is just the worst! At least with redness and hyper-pigmentation that can be covered but there's no escaping texture! I get these weird little bumps things over my face and have a few indents form spots, nothing too bad but my skin isn't as smooth as I'd like it to be. I've found some amazing products that have really helped.
The Ordinary AHA Peeling Solution | £6.30 | REVIEW
This is one of my favourite AHA products. It uses AHA and BHA to work together to exfoliate skin. I've found when it comes to tackling texture Acids are the best way. They gentle exfoliate the skin, lifting away dead skin cells to reveal, brighter, more refine skin. Which this AHA does! But what I really love about this is how smooth it leaves my skin feeling! I've been using this twice a week since May and the texture of my skin has really improved!
The Body Shop Himalayan Clay Mask | £17 | REVIEW
A good deep cleansing mask once a week is another way I find helps the texture of my skin. It prevents those pesky, under the skin spots and blemishes that can also create texture on the skin. I really like this offering from the Body Shop. It contains Charcoal which deeply cleanses the pores and refines the appearance of the skin! It feels tingly and cooling on the skin, which is completely normal. Once this is removed my skin feels so smooth as well and instantly looks brighter and clear.
Aveeno Positively Radiant Brightening Overnight Cream | £21
I got this in America and Aveeno Skincare isn't available in the UK but I found it on Amazon here. This stuff is brilliant. While I was in America my skin went weird and scaley but it wasn't like dry skin, I'm not to sure what was going on with it but this cleared it up within Two uses! It uses Soy which deeply hydrates the skin while combating texture and dullness. I've been using this every night since I got back and my skin hasn't looked so good in a long time! Plus the weird texture I experienced in America hasn't returned.
Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask | £55 | REVIEW
This is another AHA mask that is like The Ordinary one but on steroids! It is so strong and intense, I can only leave it on for around 3 mins before the tingling gets too much. But boy does this work! In those little 3 minutes my skin is instantly softer, smoother and brighter! It also smells delicious.
Verso Hydration Serum | £79 | REVIEW
To tackle the texture that can be caused by dry skin (those dry flakey areas) a good hydrating serum is the best way I've found to battle this. This serum for Verso is intensely hydrating! It contains a range of hydrating ingredients which work to deeply nourish the layers of the skin. It helps my skin feel permanently hydrating rather than just instantly. I've used half a bottle and haven't had any dry patches! My skin looks and feels plump and smooth!
Have you tried any of these? What are your favourite products for tackling texture?
Until next time...
