I suffer with dry, chapped lips regardless of the time of year but in winter they are so much worse. And I tend to find most lip balms actually don't do anything or dry my lips out more! I've been searching high and low for the best lip balms and I'm ready to report back..
Nuxe Reve De Miel | £9.50
This is the ultimate lip balm for dry lips, I've gone through pots and posts of the stuff. This has a really thick texture so it's more like a lip mask. I like to use it overnight and in the morning my lips are smooth and soft. This also has a matte finish so if you don't like the sheen most lip balms have this is definitely worth checking out.
BalmKind Lip Balm* | £14
BalmKind have formulated a winning formula with this lip balm. It has a light but nourishing texture, with a slight sheen to it. This contains anti-oxidants and Amino acids to keep the lips plump and hydrated. It also contains Lysine which can help and prevent cold sores! I like to keep this in my handbag for use on the go.
Clarins Lip Oil | £19 (currently £15 here)
This lip oil is like a gloss with super hydration. It has a very rich formula that feels silky smooth on the lips. This does have a super glossy finish that is really flattering on dry lips and helps them hydrate to. If your after a lip balm that looks good this is one for you.
The Body Shop Argan Oil Solid Balm | £4.50
On the more affordable end of the scale I have this solid oil. It contains Argan oil which works wonders on my skin and hair so I was so happy to see it in a lip product. This oil melts into the lips, instantly soothing the dryness! I like to use this in the morning before matte lip products to stop them drying my lips out.
So there are my favourite lip balms that keep my dry lips at bay.
Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?
Until next time...
