I wanted to give a little shout out to the beauty product that never lets me down, the ones that always make my skin look good regardless of what it's doing. So let's get into it...
Becca Backlight Priming Filter | £32 | REVIEW
This is one of my all time favourite primers. It's a glow enhancing primer that gives skin a gorgeous glow without glitter or chunkiness. It smooths over any dry patches and makes a great base for makeup. It gives all my favourite foundations a lit from within glow.
Touch In Sol No Poreblem Primer | £15 | REVIEW
When I want my base to be flawless and last all day this is the primer I know has my back. This give my skin a super smooth appearance and makeup applies so well over the top. It also helps my makeup last longer too. This one of the only primers of this sort that doesn't dry my skin out either.
LA Girl HD Foundation | £11 | REVIEW
If my skins dry, breaking out, dull or dehydrated this foundation never fails to leave my skin looking perfected. It has a very fluid consistency that blends so easily with a brush or sponge. The coverage is medium to full and the wear time is very good! This does give the skin a dewy finish so it may not be for everyone. But if you have dry, dehydrated or normal skin I really can't recommend this enough!
Kevyn Acoin Sensual Skin Enhancer | £38 | REVIEW
This is a super full coverage concealer, it's probably one of the most full coverage concealers I own. The consistency is slightly thicker than most concealers but it is still very blend-able. It covers everything, dark circles, blemishes and pigmentation. I don't find this creases on me either and it wears well throughout the day.
Iconic Illuminating Drops* | £32.99 | REVIEW
I'm sure regular readers are bored of me banging on about these but they really are amazing. They transform my complexion completely. If I want a really dewy glow I mix a couple of drops into my foundation. But for an everyday base I use them as a highlighter. They give my cheek bones a beautiful glow that looks seamless on the skin. They stay in place all day too! I can't imagine my makeup without them.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Powder | £33 | REVIEW
This is another product that I've talked about to death but I really feel like this is one of Charlotte Tilburys unsung heroes! The powder itself is so finely milled, it's undetectable on the skin. Yet it sets my foundation perfectly without giving the skin a heavy or cakey look. What I really love about this is how blurring it is though. It makes my pores and fine lines look way better! Plus the packaging is stunning, there's nothing not to love about this powder.
Milani Make It Dew Setting Spray | £13 | REVIEW
This is my favourite setting spray. It says it gives skin a dewy finish which I don't actually think this does but it sets my makeup perfectly and helps it last longer. It also helps my makeup look more seamless, similar to Fix+. But I prefer this one over Fix+ because it's cheaper.
Some honourable mentions:
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette | £56 - I've actually run out of this but I have it on my christmas list. If you have dry skin but struggle with powders I really recommend checking these out! See my full review here.
Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation | £29 | REVIEW | My go to if I want full coverage that will last all day.
It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye | £26 | Review | Full coverage at its best! This literally makes my dark circles disappear!
So there are the products that never let me down.
Have you tried any of these? What are your base products that never let you down?
Until next time...
